To appropriate authority being IBF or BCCC -

The preamble to the constitution of India says as follow:

"WE, THE PEOPLE OF INDIA, having solemnly resolved to constitute India into a SOVEREIGN SOCIALIST SECULAR DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC and to secure to all its citizens:

JUSTICE, social, economic and political;

LIBERTY, of thought, expression, belief, faith and worship;

EQUALITY of status and of opportunity; and to promote among them all

FRATERNITY assuring the dignity of the individual and the unity and integrity of the Nation"

So the largest democracy of the world offers at least these rights to all of the citizens.

But let's take a look at Parichay and the great Ekta Kapoor. Let's take a look at Fraternity. All of us have been assured our dignity as individuals and as a whole will be defended against. Be it from internal powers or foreign powers. But the great Ekta Kapoor goes on to insult our values, cultures, rituals and even intelligence. Why? Simply in the name of drama and entertainment.

If we look it from consumer's policy point of view, consumers should get what they are promised. We viewers are consumers of her show. We were promised "male-centric" show of a fallen hero who tries to get back to his life with help of his wife. We were promised a family show with middle class values. But do we have that right now? The fallen hero is drunkard wastrel at best and middle class family values are being ridiculed at every second of the show.

My question is - in the name of "entretainment" and "drama", will Ekta Kapoor go away without any consequences. What about Equality and Justice? She has ignored our pleads for 6 months now and keeps on making mockery of Indian social values, Indian Justice System, religion and our sentiment. But being Ekta Kapoor, she faces no consequences for it? If I or any other common man is to engage in corruption of morale and constant degradation of societal values, will I too go free? If I or any other common man insults a public figure, may very well be charged with defamation or if break a traffic signal, a constable will be running behind us to make us pay fine. But the great Ekta Kapoor has been insulting all of us viewers, breaking our sentiments and values; what consequences does she face? Sorry, can she be even questioned for this?

Being the soap queen on Indian television, she has been playing with what makes all Indians proud, being our values; taking all the viewers for granted and may very well be exploiting all the actors under binding of a contract (bonded labor); but she can do that, right? "We the people" must accept whatever is thrown at us and wish or rather pray when will the great Ekta Kapoor will have mercy on us to show something sensible. But right now our hero is a drunkard wastrel unable to do anything on his own and our heroine is a weak prey who loves to play "sacrifice" under some pressure and get easily manipulated. While most devious individuals one can imagine go on to celebrate at every point. What a wonderful message from a family show👏 "Parichay - democracy ka?

I say if Ekta Kappor is going to get a simple scolding for slapping us over and over and continue on doing what she wants, please take away this title of "largest democracy" of the world. If one Ekta Kapoor can dictate what will take place and ignore so many of us, what democracy is that? If Ekta Kapoor is not going to face any consequences for what she has done, well we shouldn't have a document that results us in celebrating 26th January of every year. Please take away this "we the people".

Jay very well written but the question is who is going to read this and act on this?

The biggest democracy where freedom of speech being the fundamental right yet where citizen get imprisoned for speaking up their mind do you think that people will come forward and even talk about this?

The country where the primary needs of human - Roti kapda and makan is still a question and people fight for it everyday they will think about this show and the soap queen? She has been murdering the values of Indian families from her very first show and yet Indian TV has embrassed her and has made her the soap queen. That tells us something about the hypocritic society that we are living in.

The country where the first page news is about the ghotala, corruption, terrorism and rape; and where people wakes up with such negative thoughts regarding the society do you think that they care about the integrity and fraternity shown on the tv shows??

The country where in order to clean our front yard people usually would put their garbage in front of the neighbor's house thinking now its their issue to clean it - do you think will clean the garbage on TV??

P.S. - Sorry folks to all who thinks that i am offending their country. Although i live outside India am as Indian at heart and this post is not to offend the system in India or is not for debate on India. This is just my POV in response to Jay's draft - We the people. I love India like any other Indians and have many points to defend it but that does not change the fact of the country.

@Bhavi - I agree with your points. No doubt when people go on to take more serious matter without care so why give a damn about a stupid tv show.

As per who will listen or even read, I have forwarded this to whoever I can and claim to be the authority. Now will anything come out of it always a question. But one has to give it a try at least.

I have not written this just to get applaud here, but really hoping something does come out.
