Siddhi and Kunal went to the orphanage the same day and informed the in charge of their decision. She was finally satisfied and told SINAL that they could take Sia home the following day. Siddhi and Kunal spent a frantic and joyful day baby-proofing their apartment and the next day they came home with Sia.
Sia was ecstatic to be with Kunnu Anku and Ziddi Aunty's home instead of the orphanage. But she still missed her family- her mamma, her dada, her lahul bhaiya. Many nights she would wake up crying inconsolably for her family. Kunal and Siddhi would be pained to see her in such a state and would pacify her and love her hoping that their love would fill the void in Sia's life.
Slowly Sia started accepting Kunal and Siddhi as her parents. Kunu Anku became Papa and Ziddi Aunty became Mummy. Kunal and Siddhi always helped Sia keep the memories of her family alive. But they gave her so much love and care that Sia began accepting them as her second set of parents.
Days turned into weeks and weeks turned into months. Sia grew each day.. Running one day…Talking clearly the other. She flourished in the warmth and love Siddhi and Kunal loved her. Kunal and Siddhi also evolved as parents. Siddhi was loving but firm knowing when to say no. Kunal on the other hand was a doting father who could never say no to his angel despite Siddhi's repeated requests to be a bit strict. Sia knew that she had her papa wrapped around her little finger, but was sweet enough to rarely exploit that.
She bonded so well with her new parents that strangers would often stop and comment how much she resembled them.
After adopting Sia, siddhi had also joined Kunal's law firm. They created their office in a flat adjacent to their home. They both made their schedules around Sia's always ensuring that she had one parent with her. But this didn't mean that the firm suffered. Their perfect coordination and team work ensured that their firm grew by leaps and bounds to become one of the most respected firms in Bombay. Kunal had managed to give back to Raj all that he had lost. Raj, veena, Seema, Gaurav and the kids had moved to a sea-facing duplex flat that Kunal had bought for them. Siddhi had wanted them to stay together. But Kunal sensed that Raj and Veena still saw Sia as their adopted daughter and not their 'real' one. He didn't want this thinking to cloud Sia's life and hence insisted that they stay separately.
Three years later Sia was a sweet, smart and confident four year old. She loved going to school but loved being at home with her parents even more.
Three years later:
Sia: PAPA!!!! Utho Na…
Kunal smiled as his Sia jumped on him to wake him up. But he didn't open his eyes!
Kunal: Pehle Papa ko kissi do!!!
Sia kissed kunal who promptly opened his eyes and kissed her back.
Sia: Happy Birthday PAPA!!! I love you sooo much…. See I made a card for you!!!
Kunal looked at the beautiful card Sia had made for him. It had a drawing of herself and Kunal and said To No. 1 Papa.
Kunal had tears as he felt the warmth in the wording. He hugged Sia tightly
Kunal: Thank you angel… this is the No1 card made by the No. 1 daugher
Sia's eyes brightened
Sia: Sachi Papa…
Kunal: Yes princess!!!
Sia: Papa.. can I ask you something… can we have ice-cream for breakfast?
Kunal: Sia .. woh tum jaanti ho na.. ice cream isn't allowed. For breakfast…
Sia made cute face and pleaded. Kunal was about to say yes when he heard a VOICE
Siddhi: NO Kunal… now don't say yes like always… yes yes I know this father daughter Jodi loves driving me crazy..
Sia and Kunal looked sheepishly at Siddhi..
Sia: Shorry mummy no ice cream.. but sia wants something from you…
Siddhi: Yes bacha bolo!! And please don't say Chocolate !!!
Sia: No.. a kissy from both you and papa together.
Siddhi: Of course… J
Siddhi took sia in her lap and both kunal and Siddhi kissed her on either cheek. Sia, satisfied ran off to watch her fav cartoon.
They may have become parents but that hadn't quelled the romance.
Siddhi: HAPPY birthday Kunal!!!
And hugged him tightly. He pulled her closer and closer till she fell next to him on the bed. Kunal asked naughtily
Kunal: Doesn't sia's papa also deserve a kiss.
Siddhi: Yes he does..
She kissed him on his cheeks. But kunal wasn't satisfied. Finally she gave in and kissed him on his lips…
Kunal: Haayee!!! What a sweet morning! Both my angels showering their love on me.. this is the life…
Siddhi.. yes birthday boy!!! Now get ready fast.. Maa ne puja rakhwayee hai..
Siddhi kunal and Sia went to the puja.. Raj, veena, seema and everyone were very happy to see them.
After the Pooja
Veena: Ab tujhe aashirwad ke alawa hum kya de sakte hai..
Kunal: Maa mujhe aur kuch nahi chahiye.. in fact aap batao.. main aapko kya de sakta hoon? Jab chota tha ab meri har wish puri karti thi.. Ab main wishes puri karna chahta hoon…
Raj: Kunal tub hi na!! Apne birthday par bhi har saal hume gifts deta hai..
Veena: Waise Kunal.. agar main kuch maangoongi ti dega kya?
Kunal: haan!!! Batao na..
Veena: Main tere bacho ke saath khelna chahti hoon.. tu mujhe ek pota ya poti dega!!
Kunal: Maan yeh wish to main already puri kar chukka hoon.. jitna chaho sia ke saath khelo..
Veena:Kunal Sia bahut pyari hai.. par who tera ansh nahi hai.. tera khoon nahi hai.. Main tere apne bache ki baat kar rahi hoon.. Dusre ke bachi ko bahut pyar dia hai tum donon ne.. ab apne bache ke bare mein bhi to socho.. Sia hai to parayee hi.. tumhari sauteli beti..
Kunal: Maa!!! Yeh aap kya keh rahi hai.. Sia meri bachi hai.. meri apni beti hai… meri zindagi!!
