Part 24

With Siddhi back home Kunal and Siddhi got their perfect life back. A few days later Raj and Shelly came to invite them for Sia's first birthday party.

Kunal: I can't believe the little angel is already a year old.

Shelly: She is hardly a little angel Kunal.. She is becoming very naughty. She just started speaking a few words and now she wants to talk to everyone even though most people dont get a word she is saying

Kunal: Now i am even more excited to meet her and talk to her..

Rajat: Siddhi, i am telling you the day you have a baby, you will no longer be the first person in his life.. Have you seen how much this man loves kids?

Siddhi: Rajat, I am prepared for it.. And we will definitely come...

A few days later it was Sia's birthday.. Siddhi and Kunal entered the house to find it beautifully decorated house. The cake was a beautiful one right out of a fairytale

But the most beautiful thing in the room was Baby Sia, She wore a frilly pink frock and a tiara on her head. She was smiling broadly, proudly displaying the few teet she had. Her hands and legs were chubby and she had dimples on them.

Kunal almost ran towards her..

Sia: Kunu Anku!!!

Rajat: Kunal uncle she means..

Kunal: you don't need to translate..I understand what my angel is saying..

Saying this he took Sia in his arms and kissed her on her cheeks. She kissed him back and was smiling broadly 😳

Siddhi walked in behing Kunal at a slower pace but was equally excited to meet Sia.

Sia: Ziddi Aunty!!!

Kunal started laughing and Siddhi began to blush. After kissing Ziddi Aunty Sia went off with her parents to meet the other guests.

Kunal: Sia is such a smart girl.. she knows how ziddi you are and called you Ziddi aunty.

Siddhi feigned anger and punched him on his arms..

The party was a lovely one. Rajat and shelly didnt have a family but they had a lot of friends and Sia was a universal favourite.

In the middle of the party Kunal noticed Rajat standing aloof at a corner with a disturbed look on his face...

Kunal: Kya hua?

Rajat: Kunal raman ka phone tha..

Kunal: Raman your brother right? he must have called up to wish Sia right?

Rajat: he doesnt even remember that its sia's birthday. He just called to ask for money 😕 You know right kunal that shelly is an orphan and my parents died a few years back. Our only living relative is Raman and what a family he is..

Kunal: We dont get to choose our siblings..

Rajat: I know.. but if anything were to happen to Shelly and me Raman would be Sia and Rahul's gaurdian!!

Kunal: why would anything happen to you???

Rajat: I have to plan for it don't i? My kids lives would be ruined if he became their guardian. Kunal i need to ask you something.. you have been such an old friend.. i have known you for so many eyars and there's no one in the world i trust more than you.. Kunal.. would you and siddhi agree to be Rahul and Sia's legal guardians if anything were to happen to us..?

Kunal: wow.. Rajat i mean its an honor that you think that siddhi and i are capable of taking care of your children. But its a big decision.. I'd like to talk to siddhi about it..

Rajat: of course... and thanks a lot bro.. for at least being willing from ur side..

Kunal: My pleasure .. now stop sulking and enjoy your darling's first birthday!!!!

After coming back from the party..

Kunal and siddhi were in bed. Siddhi was lying on Kunal's arm.

Siddhi: Sia is such an adorable child...

Kunal: She certainly is. And so are you my lovely Ziddi wife!! 😉

Siddhi: KUNAL!!!

Kunal: Accha no mor mazaak.i had to discuss something with you..

Kunal told her what he had discussed with Rajat

K: so would you be willing?

Siddhi: yes certainly!! but it must be so hard to think about what would happen to your kids after you die.. Mamma and Papa suddenly died and we were all alone.. relatives were tehre but no onw wanted to take us on forever///Kapil bhaiya had to become our everything.We would also have to think about such things aftre we have a baby

Siddhi's face clouded.

Kunal: Shh.. you have dealt with a lot of sadness.. now i will ensure that there is only happiness in your life.

Kunal kissed her on her head and siddhi snuggled closer feeling secure and peaceful in his arms..

Rajat and Shelly were very happy with Sinal's decision and they started the paperwork..

A few days later kunal and siddhi were at home.. Siddhi was forcing kunal to watch a romantic movie with her.. But Kunal was hardly watching.. what he was interested in was his own romantic movie. Seeing siddhi engrossed in the movie he started kissing her.

Siddhi: Kunal kabhi to control kiya karo!!!

Kunal: Ab tum ho hi itni khoobsurat to main kya karun..

He continued kissing her paying no heed to siddhi's protests..Just then Kunal's phone rang

Siddhi: Kunal! phone uthao!!!

Kunal: uff ho!! but mind you this is just an intermission.. movie abhi baki hai 😉

Kunal: Hi Rajat!!!

Unknown: Main Rajat nahi. Inspector shinde bol rahu hu..

Kunal: Inspector?? aapke pas rajat ka phone

Inspector: ji rajat ji aur unki family ek accident mein involved thi.. aapka number last dialled tha isliye maine aapko call kiya...

Kunal: Rajt ka accident..

I: Ji aap please City Hospital

Kunal.. cITY Hospital.. Ji main aata hoon...

Siddhi: Kunal?? rajat ka accident?? main bhi chaloongi

Kunal and Siddhi rushed to the hospital.

I: I am sorry Mr Kunal.. it was a collision with a truck. Rajat ji ki patni aur bete ki accdent spot par hi death ho gayee...

Kunal and siddhi: OH NO!!! 😔

I: Rajat ji ki haalat crtitical hai.. bhagwan ka chamaatkar dekhiye unki ek saal ki beti bilkul theek hai.. kharoch bhi nahi lagi..

Dr: Mr Rajat ko hosh aaya hai.. woh aapse milna chahte haii..

Rajat removed his oxygen mask as kunal walked in..

K: dont remove it..

R: Kunal i dont have much time.. shelly aur rahul.. mere saamne aur main..

K: rajat nothing will happen to you!!! you have sia to live for!!!

R: I wishi i cd.. i know the legal formalities arent complete... but please look out for my little angel.. her life has been full of happiness and sunshine.. she was our gift from God.. 7 years after Rahul..Promise me you will look after her..

K: rajat please. nothing will happen...

Rajat: kunal please!!

Kunal held his hand and promised..Rajat had a peaceful look on his face. He closed his eyes never to open then again!!!

PRECAP

VEENA: Kunal tum kisi ke bache ko bhi adopt kaise kar sakte ho/??? tum aur siddhi bache ki koshish kar rahe ho .. is sab ke beech yeah sia kaha se aa jati hai??

Raj: kunal veena sahi keh rahi hai..

Kunal: is sab mein aapko bolne ka haq nahi hai...

Veena: Par Siddhi ka to hai!!!

Kunal: haan.. siddhiwill u support my decision???

All eyes turned to siddhi
