Kunal: A few years?? But a few years is a very long time.. And why do we need to wait? We both love each other a lot, we are financially secure. And your career. I promise you it wont suffer..Like I said..
Siddhi cut him short
Siddhi: Kunal what part of "I am not ready" do you not understand?? And whats the hurry? We have only been married one year..
Kunal: Yes but all my friends have children. Look at Rajat. He has an 8 year old son and even has a second baby Sia...
Siddhi: Kunal this isnt competition..
Kunal: I know it isnt.. But I am 37 years old!!! At my age people have 10 year old kids.. And most importantly I love children..I have waited so many years.. I dont want to delay having kids any further...
Siddhi: Kunal just because you are old doesnt mean I am old too... You may be 37 but I am only 26.. and I can easily afford to wait a few years before thinking about kids.. You are only thinking from your point of view. You are forgetting that we have an appreciable age gap between us.
Siddhi immediately realized that she had spoken too much..
S: Kunal I didnt mean to.. But..
Kunal: I am sorry. I didnt realize that out age gap; being married to an older man bothered you so much..
S: Kunal aap galat samajh rahe hai.. Aisa kuch nahi hau..
K: Its fine siddhi. This discussion is over.. I will nver raise the issue of children again..
S: Kunal please.. baat to suniye..
Kunal walked out and went to sleep in the drawing room. 😔
Kunal had been very hurt by what Siddhi said. Siddhi realized this and trued to explan her self. But Kunal didnt really want to talk. He came back to their bedroom but never tried getting intimate with her and resisted her advances too. There was a tension in their reltionship that never existed before.
A few weeks later Kunal and Siddhi were out shopping. Siddhi was waiting near the shop while Kunal went to get the car. He came back to get the shock of his life.
A handsome man was hugging his wife and Siddhi was also laughing and talking with them. Suddenly Siddhi saw Kunal and called out to him.
Siddhi: Kunal this is Rahul...
Rahul: Siddhi's best friend. I just returned from the US and I ran into my Siddhi on the first day itself.
Kunal didnt like how he addressed Siddhi as HIS. But he could see that they were great friends and he greeted him pleasantly.
Rahul: I am so surprised that Siddhi got an amazing husband like you.. Mujhe to lagta tha ki is jhalli ko koi nahi milega and end mein mujhe hi isse shaadi karni padegi..
Siddhi chided him and hit him playfully. Kunal was surprised and a bit jealous to see the level of comfort they shared. He had never seen her so comfortanle with anyone but himself..
R: Now Kunal you have to do me a favour. I am throwing a pool party at my farmhouse. Amd all our friends are coming.. But she is saying that both of you wont come..
S: Rahul, bataya na tumhe Kunal doesnt like such parties..he woudn't be comfortable..
K; No Rahul We'll definitely come...
R: Thanks a ton Kunal!!! MY homecoming party would have been incomplete without my best friend..
K: No problem.. Anyway lets go Siddhi.. its getting late.. See you on Sunday Rahul..
At home
Kunal: Siddhi why did you say that we wouldnt come??? Are you embarrassed introducing me to your friends.. your much older husband??
S: Kunal kaisi baat kar rahe hai?? abhi tak us baat par atke hai.. meri baat samajhne ki koshish to.. i know u dont like such parties..
K: But u obviously do..And i dont want to prevent u from doing what u enjoy..Lets not argue over this its not a big deal..
On sunday morning a parcel arrived for Siddhi. It was from Rahul
The note said:
I was out shopping and this dress was desperate to be worne by you ;)
The parcel contained a beautiful dress. Perfect for a pool party
Kunal: So your friend thinks I cant buy you the right kind of dresses for a cool party..
S: KUnal kyun behave kar rahe hai aap aise??
K: Dont bother about me.. go get ready.. we need to leave for this party..
The venue for the party was beautifully decorated.. Rahul rushed towards siddhi and kunal the moment the moment they came..
Rahul: Thank you so much for coming.. And bringing this jhalli with you..Come let me introduce you to everyone..
Everywhere Kunal and Siddhi moved they drew glances. They made such a handsome couple together.. But Kunal felt that people were staring at them because they made an odd couple due to their age gap.
Siddhi had been right. Kunal wasnt enjoying the party. He didnt like the noise and the crowds.But siddhi was enjoying meeting up with old friends. Kunal saw a different siddhi. A siddhi who was carefree and full of life. Her laughter rang loud and she yelled instead of talking..
Kunal(thought): So this bubbly girl is the real Siddhi.. She has had to change herself because of me..
Siddhi was aware that kunal wasn't lkin tha party. She came up to him and said..
Siddhi: Kunal i know you are hating this party.. Why dont you make a move home. I'll come in an hour or so..
Kunal: Ya fine.. i am going
he turned and walked away..A look of extreme hurt came over Kunal's face. Siddhi had said this just to let Kunal move away from a place he wasnt liking. But kunal felt that she was embarrassed becaise of him and wanted him to leave...
On his way out he heard two of the guests whispering:
Rahul and Siddhi make such a perfect couple. Siddhi should have waited instead of making a compromise by marrying her dead fiance's elder brother..
Siddhi got home an hour later to find the house empty.. She got really worried and called Kunal up but his phone was switched off. It had begun raining heavily. She waited for an hour but no sign of kunal. She was very scared now and decided to go look for Kunal. Just as she opened the door she saw kunal coming up the stairs.
He was drenched. He was completely sloshed. He staggered into the house.
Siddhi: KUNAL!!!
PRECAP: Kunal: You know why i am in a hurry to have kids??? becuase i am scared !! scared that the later we have kids, the older i will be and the more our kids will be embarrassed of me when they grow up..
Siddhi: Kunal aap yeh kaisi??
Kunal: sach hi to keh raha hoo.. Aaj tum embarrassed ho mri wajah se. Kal hamare bache honge tab woh embarrassed honge?? or wait a second.. maybe you dont want to have kids with me because you are regretting our relation.. maybe u r becoming aware that you made a compromise with me.. When you met Rahul, did you probably start thinking about what could have been.. if you married him and not me..
