AD - what kind of kid?

I know lot has been discussed on SINAL as parents and Anands in general.

But again I am urged to write this post given what was shown so far.

Seriously yaar, what kind of 9 year old is AD? I accept he is spolit brat given luxury he has been afforded by Diwans. But I feel it is going further than that. His perspective on things just irks me big time. First Siddhi had to glam up so he lets her in. So a mother for him should be presentable in specific sense. Then Abhay has to present a lie that he will defiantly win to convince him to participate in competition. Later on the stage he doesn't feel the stage is good enough for him so Abhay has to lure him through fame, publicity, stardom that will come along with "winning" afforded by Abhay to hit the last nail. Worst part was Siddhi agreed with this approach? Ok, may be just saying you'll win might be starting point but then talk about fame, stardom, auto-graph, etc. and Siddhi was smiling at least her kid agreed?

I have niece and nephew same age and I know they are very much in materialistic things, as cell-phone, i-pads, computers, etc. I also understand need to be best of all and coming 1st and all. I get it; that;s today's generation as they have it all ready. But with this kid, it is much more beyond that. Nothing I saw so far seem like a real connection. Everything is based on presentation, materialistic love, artificial values, fame and what is this "coolness" so to speak. I know kids like to win as we saw with AC; but for your own gratification or for loved ones. But with AD it's all about showing others how "cool" he is? Doesn't such attitude comes with teenagers?

I don't know, is it just me or what? Really what kind of upbringing is this?

He is a spoilt brat...and nothing more than that jay...i saw these kind of children in real life too...abhay is making him like this...the way abhay recited about stardom not only him any child will desire to become a rockstar ...i really felt pity for him...he is going to lose the competition for sure...thn he will surely going to be shattered...abhay is simply cheating him by all these talks...AD didn't ask abhay to give the first prize to him even though he is not capable of..he is not at all interested...but abhay himself telling he will manage to give the first prize to him bcoz he is the one who organize this contest ...i also felt happy siddhi didn't speak up...if she objects like this thn one day he will fed up with his mom..

Hi Jay, sure AD is a spoilt kid.. And that is the way Abhay deewan brought him up. Abhay is Negatively Reinforcing AD, so the result is bad behaviour..
Siddhi is frustrated by Abhay's way of dealing. But she needs to be patient for sometime..
Once siddhi gets power in relationship with Jr. Anand, sure she will set rules and boundaries.

All of these days, jr.Anand is used to the word "YES" only. He need to experience "NO" also. I hope losing the competition will make him to experience.. he needs to to know the whole truth..

Mysterious mother and son gave a very bad parvarish to the kid.Being a brat is k but they didn't even bother to teach the kid basic manners like respecting elders, behavior, not to steal.The kid is so materialistic and doesn't even care about human emotions.To top that idiot sulekha compared kunal with abhay which irked me to great extend.No dad would ever spoil the kid lady and kunal would never do such thing.Abhay is possessive for his own selfishness for the kid.

well i totally agree with your point jay: AD indeed is a spoilt brat ... but not to be forgot that

"Development depends upon the child's instincts and responses of those around him.."

secondly person's perception and expectancy...

the above two THINGS should well understood by both Siddhi and Abhay in order to change AD

so in this situation poor thing AD cant be blamed ..its just that Abhay Diwan needs to understand the fact that the route in which he is seeing thinngs are not at all correct... he should be tough at times rather than showing and convicing AD by showing or narrating about fantasy world or a word where the child is forced to think where it is associated with money and fame..

i agree money and fame both are very important in one's life .. but there is a technique to be tackled ... if not it looks of the fact tat the child is being bribed and the kid is getting used of the bribery world...

currently AD is in a situation where he feels that any thing can be possible as far as people have loads of cash in their pockets..

when siddhi tries to stop him from doing any of the faults for sure the child becomes more assertive continues to throw his tantrums as he is not used of listening to the word" NO".

so without hurting the kid psychologically its the duty of siddhi ( as a mother) to understand him and by beinng patient enough and of course by maintaing her temper should handle him and bring out the best changed AD .. and abhay having known AD from past 9 years should slowly mend his ways and gradually should teach the kid abt cons and pros..rather than pampering and showing him the fantasy world...

Absolutely Right Shraddha... I accept 100% that Abhay deewan need to change his way while dealing with Anand Jr. But it should happen gradually.. All of suddenly if something change they try to bring in AD.. it again results in to a wrong way..
You need not be sorry.. Hope CV's change the role play of Abhay Deewan towards Anand..

My question is, Abhay has raised AD like a brat all these years.. but why is he trying to change him now? Had he used the same logic ever since the kid was around 5yrs old, he would have been fine by now. But Abhay decides to start the changing process after Siddhi enters into the picture. Is it because he is afraid that Siddhi might take AD away or because he wants to impress Siddhi with his talents of imparting wisdom to the kid? Why did he not do this with AD before itself so he would not have turned into such a brat? Whatever the reason, I don't agree with Abhay that he cares about AD.. if he cares or cared, the kid wouldn't be like this in the first place.

the way abhay approach AD is wrong...he needs to mend his way to deal with AD...😡

as for siddhi...she is patience at the moment and that is how siddhi can reform him...if she put too much of control on him or strictness in him...AD will hate his mother...and siddhi can never tolerate this...to bring AD in the right path...he needs a reality check of life...which is him knowing abhay is not his real father...becos winning and loosing competition will not make a effect on the kid since he was not interested in the first place to join the contest...only a reality check can bring this kid to the right path from here he will understand his mother and siddhi can reform him in her own way...first of even siddhi needs to understand him...he is a complex kid just like his father...i am sure siddhi will understand him and teach the real meaning of life
