Bravo Minnie, Bravo👏 They thought we had forgotten didn't they. They thought we would rant and rave and wring our hands in despair and eventually we would forget. They thought we would send out a few messages, twitter 4 times and forget. Because that is what Ms. Ekta Kapoor is banking on. The fact that we audience has short memories. But we don't Ms. Kapoor. We remember everything you promised us in your damn show launch interviews, your snazzy promos and every write up about the show ever. We remember that this is supposed to be Kunal Chopra's Parichay.

A hundred shows you have done showing the woman as the symbol of everything that is good and noble and while I respect that - being a woman myself - I also recognize that in this world there are good men like Kunal Chopra who struggle and fall down every day and still try to stand up and do what's right. What happened to their stories? In our quest for women's equality have we forgotten the men who have stood by us and helped us achieve that goal? What is this ridiculous cynicism stemming from the writing of Balaji Telefilms that shows men as clueless, heartless, meandering, drooling fools. They are not. And while each one of us has the story of 10 chauvinistic, unfair bas***ds to share we also have the story of the one father or husband who has stood by us and helped us become who we have. Why are we forgetting the stories of those men, like Kunal Chopra, who is honest, principled, intelligent and immensely respectful of women? Why not wax about his glory rather than belittle his character? WHY NOT? 😡

I am sitting here at 9:30pm not watching what used to be until 2 weeks ago my favorite show and instead typing out this rant against you. Are you happy now? Your TRPs are sky rocketing aren't they 😡 Aren't they?😡

Read the writing on the wall. One more week of this crap and the show will be gone far beyond repair to the point where I will personally start demanding that an actor of Samir Soni's caliber permanently disassociate himself from the sham that this show has become.

As far as Im concerned, it's already beyond repair. What was promised as the life & times of a struggler turned out to be the same old insipid domestic drivel.

@BOLD, Samir should leave. I'm sure he'd rather be remembered for past accolades than the debacle that this show has turned into.

We all Started watching this show because of Samir Soni , He IS the Male protagonist of the Show . We Loved the show bcz we got amazing character as Kunal Chopra

I thought after Samir's disappointment and our requests on FB and twitter to change the track ( we simply wanted this as Kunal's Parichay , This Gaurav EMA Thingy can be handled by Kunal Too ) they will listen to Us ... It IS Kunal's Parichay's ... Siddhi is there just bcz Show also needs a Female protagonist . This is NOT Siddhi's Parichay .

But the Current story and yesterday's precap proves that they r making it Siddhi's Parichay .

Typical Mahaan Aurat which we have seen in almost all Ekta shows who can even sacrifice her own married life , her child, her pregnancy for some aire gaire chindi characters in the show . she is So Mahaan 😕 ... I always stay Away frm such shows , I hate such shows but I was Watching Parichay bcz it was DIFFERENT

waise royegi , chillayegi for her love , for her child etc lekin unki care kabhi nahin karegi ...its all abt other characters .

In Yesterday's epi when she said ok i won't talk abt it anymore I thought finally they have listened to us, they have listen to Samir but NO ...precap proves its not the case

and this Honeymoon thingy ... I am sure she herself will cancel the trip to Spy Gaurav

After one week of seeing Samir in separate frames we are so happy that we are gushing all over the forum forgetting that the story is still the same, Kunal is just as clueless, Siddhi is still being as mahaan, the damn honeymoon segments were just decoys to get us talking and excited, the trip will get cancelled again by jhansi ki rani and it will be left to Siddhi to prove everything while Kunal looks on like a clueless teenager.

Hum idiots nahin to aur kya hain that despite the fact that this is the way the story is headed we are all so happy about being thrown a bone - SiNal in same frame, Sameer back in his regular role and his interview - that we are forgetting everything. This is exactly what the makers of the show wanted. And perhaps this is exactly what EK was talking about when she said we have short memories.

Hum log idiot hi to hain that we have stopped demanding for a better show just because one day we got to see Samir. Are we that stupid? I don't think so. If you are glad that Samir has decided to stay for now don't stop demanding a better show. Be glad that he has stayed and continue reminding the CVs that we want to see Kunal Chopra's parichay not nari shakti ka parichay.

PS: My intention was not to offend anyone. Just being a little dramatic that's all. Kya karen watching too much daily drama I suppose 😆

i think its no point to criticize siddhi or other actors...they are told to do what the creatives n directors wants them to do...so no point blaming them...if someone needs to be blamed is ekta...creative team n directors...

Thanks Minnie, for making this post like Annie said none of us intend to live up to Ekta's Ghajini expectations!!!But at the same time , a show that once gave me lots to write about now only gives me reasons to complain.😡

Where to start from , like Rani said this show was supposed to be about Kunal Chopra ,right from the promos, I still remember when they started airing it and I exclaimed to my roomie that Ekta is making a show on a male, seriously😲? But I should have trusted my instincts acutely toned from years of 'KKK' tortures.If not then I should have realised when the first episode started off with Siddhi ! Well now I know what it feels to be in Kunal Chopra's shoes , oblivious to the obvious.😆

Fari ,you are right in saying Ekta's writers don't know how to write from a male's perspective, it's ironic because most of them seem to be males😕. I often wonder what satisfaction they must be getting when they reduce the male lead in their show to a shallow, hollow arm candy for the female lead. Do they tell their kids mommy is the heroine and I am just a spot boy whom she fancies? I do not underestimate the role of a mother in a kid's life , but as a girl I can tell you , my father was the first man I admired and will always remain my hero!⭐️

Dirty Picture has been garnering up accolades and Vidya Balan has been repeating ' mardon ka zamaana raha hain, aur aurat ne aake aafat ki hain ', as a female I say there is something spunky, naughty and haughty about that but at the same time I do agree when Vidya also states 'I thank all the men who held our hands and helped us get here'. As Annie correctly pointed out we do have those men, he may be your dad, brother, friend, boyfriend, husband anyone but he is there. Why not give him a chance? Why bury him deep down beneath all the over sacrificing bahu's and saasu maa's of the world?😡😡😡

Ekta and her team might want to agrue that the majority of audience are females hence the nari-shakti theatrics , no arguments about the female dominance but let's take a rain check, this forum represents a few of those ardent viewers and as we see a majority of them are indeed females , but how many 'Hail Siddhi' do you come across? We keep ranting and raving 'Where is Kunal Chopra?'.If you had made the slightest effort to stay true to your promises perhaps you could have added men to your faithful audience too, another feather in your cap it would have been.Must say 'Ekta has got men glued to their TV's at 9.30pm' would have been far more noteworthy than 'Ekta's saas-bahu Parichay fails to deliver'.😡

Inspite of almost a year to its credit how much has Kunal's Parichay evolved? Today even in the case of Gaurav's EMA, Kunal Chopra is pretty much in the same situation as he was earlier in Raveena's and Ritcha's case.Why could Kunal not have discovered Gaurav's EMA?It would have been quite interesting too.We have been repeatedly shown how women deal with their problems in your serials -loads of glycerine ,shrieking and lenghty bashans on 'blah blah and blah's'😕.Why could you writers not have exhibited the slightest bit of spunk and shown us a man's take on it? A man's take on relations beyond the call of duty and responsibility.

Agree with u, we r fools. nothing has changed in the story line. Sidhi is still the front runner. Just coz we saw Samir in few frames does not mean everything is back to normal. The guy has to work till he is there and not left. he will do what ever scenes he is given. but we want Kunal's Parichay.

When this show started i thought will get to see some good story line up as per the earlier promos of kunal chopra diary.and upto some extent it was shown until Kunal,RIcha and Siddhi trio introduced in the show, the focus again went to the love story..(but we accepted that as well cause we were geting to see Kunal Chopra as a lover, friend and husband ) but during that cousre also..writers /directors have given importance to siddhi--- by showing how she is falllen for Kunal instead of showing how Kunal gradually changed and fallen for Siddhi (it was shown instantly that one night in nashe ki haaalat main he realizes that he loves siddhi and for siddhi it was shown in no. of episodes...) and thn thr famous dialogue 'ek tau aurat upar se vaqeel' could have made some better dailogue for male lawyer too..but nahi unhe tau siddhi ko he mahaan banana tha naari jo tehri... they just concentrating on siddhi's feeling but not showing Kunal's feeling...excpet one song..' Musafir hu yaaro'...

Every problem of chopra house is been tackeled by Siddhi Mahaan ,whether it is kunaal case , raveena mariage and now seema married life...and here they are just concentrating on the personnel life of Kunal chopra that too from Siddhi's POV not kunaal's ...

wondering why the writers so keen about Siddhi proving herself again and again...here the main concept basic idea of the show was how Kunal Chopra a fallen lawyer can prove again his abilities to the world and regain whatever he lost... but we still find kunal chopra searching for job and finding himself...

don't know where the story will be taken..but still watching the show just for Sameer Soni in a hope that writer may understand someday and will bring back the focus on struggle of Kunal CHopra...and get to hear some nice lines again...have written number of times to Colors TV the please get back to Kunal's life but no progress since last 2 months... the day sameer soni leaves the show...it will be my last episode as i am not that fond of daily soaps...and seeing the current track lagta hai vo din door nahi untill n unless he takes some action...he himself in his personnel life have struggled a lot..so he might can take the responsibility of the serial as it is this serial is famous because of him only..

now tulsi-parvati-prerna in siddhi...well not only ekta...but all female leading ladies...whether ekta shows or non-ekta show...there is tulsi-parvati-prerna hidden in them...there is no change no matter what oriented show it is...bcz tulsi-parvati-prerna are the main female protagonist that started the TV trends as a womens world...even now tulsi-parvati-prerna is not forgotten...these shows has been running for 10-12 yrs...they are a icon...so every female characters written for female are under these 3 womens perspective...they connect with the housewives...grandmothers...so we can't blame that siddhi character is mahaan...all female leading ladies are mahaan...they follow the footsteps of tulsi-parvati-prerna...there is no stop for this...why BALH is a hit...not bcz of its story...concept or content...its bcz of Sakshi Tanwar...she has massive...massive fan following bcz of her portrayal as Parvati Agrawal...why Parvarish is also a hit mainly bcz of Shweta Twari...she has a massive...massive following as Prerna Bajaj...thats why i say...no point blaming if leading ladies are mahaan...this trend started 10-12 yrs back...so its nothing new for me...but it is definetly irritating..but what to do such characters clicks with aunties n grandmothers...

as for parichay...even in the past...it was shown that siddhi knowing the truth...whether it was rohit-dumbo MU before SiNal marriage...or rohit-dumbo problem after SiNal marriage...richa intentions...it was always shown siddhi knowing it first then the ball pass it over to kunal...n here i am sure the focus will be on kunal soon...whenever siddhi tries to solve a problem...it went wasted...i am sure even in gaurav's EMA...she will fail...even jeopardize her marriage...i am sure soon the focus is on kunal...

on one hand...i would love to see SiNal's MU...it would be a interesting track n the whole focus will be on kunal chopra...n our angry young man will be back with a bang...n whole new start of SiNal love story

@Bold Mages that was the way it was in the past 15 years ago when Ek started out in the business. That was the generation of our moms and grandmoms. But since then in 15 years a whole new generation has grown up. We have a whole new outlook to life. We don't want to be Tulsi or Parvati or Prerna because we think they are unbelievably stifling. We don't want to live our life for other people at the cost of sacrificing our happiness. We want to be free of societies unreasonable shackles, we want to be independent, we want to express our opinions. We are strong and have brains. Don't belittle the housewives. Even the women who don't work these days do so as a conscious choice on their part because they feel it is better for their families. Doesn't mean they are incapable of working. Doesn't mean they are stupid and will swallow shit.

Irony of ironies. EK the self confessed man hating nari shakti touting queen of Indian soap opera is taking our women back a 100 years by portraying women characters who are at every point expected to sacrifice, be noble and be good. The slightest amount of guile on the part of the woman and she becomes the evil vamp. There is no room for grey in Ekta's world of women. They are either good or bad. And men? Well that's a whole another story that's going to take another long rant from me so will end now 😆😆😆
