I am making this post..to probably compensate for a diary for today (key word is probably 😉).
Tujhe, sab hai pata meri maa - so the song goes
Yes, the mom knows a lot, but probably the father knows better
Who does the child go to when
(Mother mostly)
1. He/she needs money as a kid
2. When he/she has been naughty in the neighbour hood
3. When they have been praised
4. When they are successfull
(Dad mostly)
1. He/she has lost money
2. Has commited some major mistake as a grown up
3. When they have been cheated
4. When they need a shoulder to cry
The mother binds the people of the family
But the father gives the winds to the children to fly
The mother wipes your tears
But the father gives you the confidence to fight again
The mother shares your happiness
But the father shares your sorrows
The mother binds
But the father knows when is the time to let lose the child
The mother cares
But the father teaches independence
The mother gives support
But the father gives you the confidence
The mother is there to shield you from the world
But the father trusts you to conquer the world
Most of the people say that the mother is more closer to the child, she cares a lot for the child and all the related emotional things. Somewhere the fathers' importance is reduced or lost.
But I think the father plays another key role in the child's life, the father is there who can lend a listening ear to the child's gravest problem/mistake/sin.
The mother instead of consoling the child, would herself start crying. So in such cases, it is the dad who supports the child.
I had got a forward few years back, dont remember all the instances but one I do..
When some relative passes away, it is the father only who pays the vist..
The bottom line was, all the difficult things.situations in the life are left to the father and not the mother.
If we talk of Kunal
I have seen a few episodes before the marriage and think over the 5-6 years (I dont know when or what period was Kunal exactly jobless, and then one year of marriage..some time period when he just quits from T Co and till now)
His dad didn't talk to him until his marriage to Siddhi
But the father had immense confidence in his son.
That probably made Kunal confident about himself
The father knew that times are bad, but Kunal is not a bad person
The father was his support though, it appeared that it was his mom/anand
The father wanted his son to stand by the principles because the father knew that Kunal is not wrong
The father may not have understood his son, but had faith in him
The son knew that the father will always be around
I think, both parents play a distinct role which are equally important
PS- I dont intend to compare the mother/father's role or say who is more loving, the point is each plays an impt role and somewhere in the sentiments, the father's role at times becomes secondary.

will update later,...and thanks for making a post on fathers...

But the father gives you the confidence
For me this summs up everything...it includes all other things too u said about a father...and his encouraging words "beta, u can do it"..means so much and one realises it more when they miss hearing those words...

So true, Pooja.
I can vouch for it from my own experience & now even my kid's. I'm remembered only when food, money or clean clothes are required😆 for the incessant chatter about rugby, planes & computers, its dad! And at no point is a father's role secondary. While growing up, it might not seem as important but as you mature, you remember & cherish those moments & words of wisdom shared.

As usual awesome analysis -
For a child if one is the wall the other is window and if one is love the other is affection!
I can't think of any song dedicated to dad only. It is always either for mom or for both mom and dad -
If there are daddy songs in hindi they are depicting daughter father relation only.
But there are many English songs-

No song can depict the emotions that was shown by Raj and Kunal- Kudos to both -👏

👏

thanks Yas, I agree, mom/dad both are impt, play a diffrt role but each is necesary..and one always cherishes..personally i feel fathers give you the freedom and trust to venture out on your own. A mom kinda keeps you/bonds you.
