I know my opinion and thoughts after today's episode may not resonate well with majority here but I am so proud of Kunal for being a man that despite being inebriated realized where he could lose his control and be a flawed and yet endearing human being.
If he being in a drunken state could have lost his control for Siddhi, it could have very well happened with Richa too but he did not succumb to it. I felt so proud as he yelled at Richa that no matter what, he is a married man, a man whose wife is waiting for him back home. That he would not stoop so low as to sleep with a woman other than his wife.
Kudos to the character for this one line. Does not matter to me what he did afterwards.
How far can you really lead a double faced life like that?! He loves his wife but cannot express his feelings openly. He loved his brother and is still struggling to take his place in the home and in its resident's hearts. He is a man torn between the two. His love for his wife and his love for his brother.
Not an easy situation to be in. The control, the vigilance had to end some day and it did last night. He is bound to feel guilty and though its accentuated by Anand's barsi, I am sure the kind of strong character Kunal has, he would have felt guilty even if it wasn't Anand's barsi.
His outburst can be understood by those who have lead a life pressurized by expectations, responsibilities. Their own happiness, desire and love take the backseat as always and the composure such people project breaks sometimes when stretched too far beyond its capacity.
Doesn't matter what calls him, for me he remains a true man!
