I usually read quietly on some forums, this is the first time I felt the need to say something.

I don't know if any of you have noticed that most shows on Colors has some 'EEEKKKSSS value. If you look at their programs, past & present you will notice that almost all of them have something at least slightly sick & twisted in the content. So if you are watching Parichay for that good positive feeling you might be disappointed. Ekta mai as she is called here :) hedged her risk successfully by taking a new concept to Sony. What she gave you in Parichay is what I call 'dal chaval' , tried & tested staple food for the average tv watcher.

I agree 100% jheel1, that the advertisements misled a lot of us but take a look at colors track record- uttaran, Phulwa, Bairi Piya, Bigg Boss, sasural simar ka the list is endless. Why should Parichay be any different? these are not shows that are meant to make you feel good & happy.

So forget about the old promos & Sameer's interviews about male-centric, ground breaking show. If you are still waiting to see the story of a common man getting his second chance in life you will be disappointed because this is destined to be nothing more than your average old fashioned potboiler. Instead of expecting something different, accept, or just move on like I did.

Dal chaval😆 Good one😆damn right, no new flavors here, just good old comfort food.

That's quite an observation, LeenaRG. Come to think of it, the shows on Colors do tend to rely on sensationalism, rather than good story telling. There is a good amount of shock value in all the shows you named😆 Like you said, why should Parichay be any diff? So this isn't going to be Kunal Chopra's story, will def heed your advice to accept or move on.

Thanks for the eye opener.

As much as i know ..The show has never been promoted as love story .
Colors always give more footage and importance to negative characters ..read Ammaji, tapasya , Dadisa
I know many of you will not agree , but Mona is better actress than Keerti .May be experience matters ...

I agree with your last line - Mona is better actress than Keerti..

Mona's wigs are not good.

Sure, it was never promoted as a love story, but it was very heavily promoted as Kunal Chopra's story. So far Kunal's zindagi seems to only revolve a tiny bit around his new wife & a whole unnecessary lot around his psycho ex. & nothing else😕 His ex keeps plotting to snare him & his wonderful wife keeps getting him & his family out of trouble, so what is Kunal doing here, that is, other than attractively cocking his eyebrow?😳
Adding a romance into a story is always welcomed by the younger crowd & I'm all for it, who doesn't like a love story? But this over emphasis on the negative character I don't get.

I agree, Mona is the better actress, Sameer will have to wait for another show to showcase is acting skills😆 this show belongs to Mona⭐️ She is on her way to becoming the 'Ammaji' of Parichay. Trouble is, I don't feel like tuning in at 9:30pm to watch her re enact histrionics from Ekta's old serials.

But then Im not the average tv watcher so I don't count.
