To give a shot, i also watched interview. Interview was cute but looking onscreen and off screen are two different things. There are some jodis who are in relationship off screen and got a chance to work together onscreen but didnt appreciated by audience. But there are quite few as well, who never bonded very well off screen, but their onscreen karisma no one can forget. So both spaces are total different....... About chemistry between Arjun and Bhavna, being neutral viewer it didn't click me. I have seen many serials in my life and i have fallen into love of chemistry by just watching single episode....... But here it has not clicked me despite of being one month. Sorry to hurt ChandNi fans, I cant feel that magic which probably you are seeing. And thats why those song sequence every week do irritate me a lot. If there would have been some spark, no song sequence would have also worked. One more surprising fact, I cant see any FF, VM on this forum if people are liking ChandNi so much?????

Leave the chemistry. In fact, as a woman i cant relate and stand by Niru's character. She as character looks selfish to me most of the time. That's the most negative fact.

Moving back to interview. there is nothing wrong is saying hope audience accept me. Every actor does same and wishes same. But again that is again up to the individual actor to prove that audience by your act and not just by word.

About criticizing story, I will not agree. Characterization of this serial are really good. Yes but couldn't disagree on fact CV and PH are deviated from other good and plus factors of the serial in urge to make lead pair popular. They need to balance out the things, before its too late.

Now last part which i want to understand is from channel perspective. Its actually confusing for me. Many people are saying BK is learner, give her a chance. There is other serial on same channel, where channel fired lead actress just because they felt she doesn't suit in look and made a replacement. Despite of the fact, she already shot some episodes for serial. And for a lead they selected known face and she accepted in her interview, that channel finalized her without major look test...... I am failing to understand channel strategy for considering Bhavna as lead actress for PMMKA, when none of their article talked about her much before even serial started.

Hey Darshana,

I respect your opinion vis-a-vis this interview. It is always nice to hear and ponder over the oft-disparate views of our community, providing food for thought, and perhaps prompting one to scrutinize the show in a much more meaningful and holistic context.

I think it is quite reasonable that ChandNi did not seem to click with you on the basis of the fact that our defintion of self sufficient pleasure is highly multifarious and tailored or tuned to our own persona. In this light, what the "ChandNians" may find relishing would turn out to be not so palatable to you. While we see the song sequences as another step closer towards their relationship, you may see it as a banal attempt to fill in the time or a jaded idea of putting them under the limelight for the sake of prosperity of the show. I, for one, relate the song sequences to the character sketch; Chandu is depicted as a lad with a passion for music, with the guitar never leaving his vicinity while the melodious stints at the cafe become routine. So naturally, the guy's world revolves around the tunes exuding from the strings of his guitar as he indulges in self reflection of his ambiance, his world, and those closley linked to him. I dare say succumbing to a highly melodious and colourful trance is a sure testament to the logic prevailing by virtue of the aforementioned facts. But then again, you really go on about musing to such depths should the character sketch itself bemuses you. Put simply, I see this as an act of trying to get into the skin of his character. Ofcourse the fact that these days, dramas on this scale are laden with the ever bollywood inspired melodies is another reflecting point in itself. Maybe the channel does not want to lose out while similar serials get the lion's share of the cake. These could ver well be the ever sneaky marketing policies. Yet still, all in good fun as they sweep the fans into an emphatic reverance for its characters.

You also allude to drawing a fine line between what is observant on screen and offscreen. Albeit I agree with you, I would also like to point out that the offscreen hoopla is merely a way to narrow the gap between the show and its viewers. When it is touted that the leads of the show are apparently best of the buds offscreen, then the reverance meter goes up a notch as the masses of people go on ascertaining their level of comfort with each other, similarities, and perhaps even the possibility of something more than jsut friendship brewing offscreen. It makes that much more appreciative knowing that what they emote on screen, although may not be a total reflection of reality, yet has the slightest bit of apossiblity of grazing the fictional nuances. But the onus is on one to tread with caution. Fiction and reality can prove to be quite disparate in their happenings and ergo, at the ned of the day, it is perhaps best to be wary of the existence of the fine line between the two realms.

In addition, ChandNi's relationship is pretty premature as of now. For all we know, love is certainly not consensual at this juncture. In my opinion, it is a kind of a one sided story with Chandu going all gaga over Niru, while she tries to grapple with the new environment and the blossoming friendship. You can begin to see the tinges of love sparking, but it is not quite there yet. Hence, it would be a bit rich to assume at this point in time that this is all to ChandNi. Suffice it to say, this is the mere beginning. The fact that you do not see any such literaries as FFs, VMs etc could very well be alloted to this notion. Furthermore, I am an ardent follower of ChandNi, yet I do not feel inspired enough, nor have the dexterity, to scribe a FF or concoct together a fancy VM for the sake of showing my loyality to the jodi. Remember, one does not need to highly overt in their appreciation- even on an open forum as this. Some of us are a little less salient by nature and would rather prop back on our seats and enjoy the show over a cup of tea rather than make a beeline for the keyboard. A life on the go can be equally harrowing, as in my case, whereby I only can spare so much time to catch up on the episodes let alone trying to come up with a script for a FF!

As to Niru's character, I have discussed quite a few times. I, unforutnately, do not agree with your stance pertaining to the character's progression. Niru might be selfish, but not quite in the same way as you opined. To put it aptly, she is selfish for being selfless. From the time she stepped on the soil of an urban world, she has set her mind on one brave motive- to better her father's ailing condition. In that process, she perhaps has blinded herself from the rest of amenities the highly socialized world has to offer, garnering the epithet of a selfish person.
Standing up on your feet, facing the wind head on, and being resilient all the while do not signify non altruism. Rather, these are the polished skills of a stoic, determined individual who has their eys set on the prize.

Lastly, on to Bhavna Khatri, I honestly do not see how people go on about a missive claiming she lacks in quality and command. I have said this before, but I was coerced into watching this show just by skimming through the initial scenes which were more or less saw her at the helm, and I am not shy to say I got hooked. To my mind, she portrays the character well and is consistent in her portrayal of a poignant lesson in dignified survival in the face of grappling with multi faceted threats the new world had in store for her. I am scratching my heads as to what I am missing when you see people expressing their anguish across the boards. I know I am not injecting in an irrational bias seeing that this is my first acquaintance with Bhavna. But oh well, to each his own. I think it would be more prudent if we asked ourselves the cause of our plight. Are we, perchance, frustrated because of the lack of "balance" in the show? Or is it that we just really do not like Bhavna because she is not Rati Pandey? These two questions have vast implications in their own context but are in no way tied to Bhavna Khatri. Prudence deems it necessary that we segregate these idea into their own category rather than pulling them into the context of the current situation as far as ChandNi are concerned. Doing do could potentially solve the problem.

On that note, I will sign off as I got much work to do sadly :( But not before I say that the aforementioned views are only that i.e views. No one is obliged to be their proponent. It is a free and open forum after all. I respect your views as you should mine and I certainly am not trying to coerce you into adopting these for the fun of it. I just wanted to splay across my opinion on a lazy sunday afternoon :) The onus is on you, and only you, to pick and choose what you deem self sufficient :)

Have a great day y'all.

Thanks for the video Naina.... the interview was cute....

@ hira89....... may i know your name please.......

I do agree with your points that Chandu being a performer in music.... there is bound to be such sequences....... but what we are trying to say is instead of those previous dream song sequences........ that should have showed actual Chandu-Niru scenes.... the way they showed in the recent week...... that tends to bring them closer...... Song sequence may impress any girl for that day....... but what actually happens in reality ie how Chandu is being supportive of Niru in real life is what will take the story ahead........ and they are leaving many parts incomplete just to show one..... and song sequences can't take the story ahead...... it's the actual scenes which will take the show ahead..... when they get the lead closer they can always get a song sequence.... that would justify the scenario more.....

If you see carefully...... the show which is just 2 months has so many bloopers...... and random scenes with no connection to each other...... for instance...... Sarja gave advance to Niru....... what happened to that??? Albela sent his ally to follow Niru....... what abt that??? Maruti slapped Sarja........ but the family is least bothered that he has left home....... and there are many more.... don't misunderstand me that I'm a Kapil fan that's why i'm saying such things........ but fact is Chandu-Niru are the main leads...... audience tends to consider them ideal in the show...... especially Niru...... and here she's dependent on all....... i do understand her situation is making her that way...... but once is ok........ twice is ok...... but thrice???also had Chandu been at home keeping his promise for a day would have been good...... but just to bring a song sequence they made him break the promise and go to the hotel......

Susheela told Sarja that she's a mother to all the 4........ when she can stand up and talk to Maruti about letting Chandu sing as well as study..... then don't you think it's logical that they show her talking to Maruti or atleast making an effort telling him that he was wrong in slapping Sarja.... they can always show Maruti not listening....... but atleast it would have justified that as a mother she's fair to all........ the night Sarja left home....... all the family members are sleeping peacefully....... they could have always shown a mother not able to sleep........ but again they left it completely.......

I have nothing against Bhavna...... as she's improving a lot...... but it's her character Niru which is not striking the right chord with the audience....... the creatives have not shaped her character well......

Hira, love to read ur long essay. Quite happy to have different opinions on forum and that too put up in very nice and proper word without letting into so called "Bashing" and this is what I love more............ Everyone is subjected to their opinion............

First thing, I am not comparing her with any other actress. Its purely her fitment as Niru. Moreover, I liked her in some scenes in PMMKA but not in all. Well I am not sure quite whats happening offscreen, may be some kind of pressure to make her work with Arjun. That promptness, that charm in her which she shows in other scenes, feel completely lacking in her scene with Arjun. Main thing, her character on her own is not accepted by everyone. I can ask you get count of people who feel Niru is one of them, or they can related Niru as someone as a part of their life. Here I am completely talking about Niru Character, forget actress part.......... Ok, leave the count on forum as well. How many real audience feel connected Niru?? To any serial to lead one aspect is audience should be glued for female lead specially when serial is in 10.30 PM time slot. But I doubt this is happening. TRPs speaks a lot in that case.

This is subjected to CVs should have given enough time for make her character to be introduced in proper manner. I think its fear of Creative team itself that show cant be carried out on Niru alone for a long and thats why male leads were introduced in just a week gap.

Ok fine with that. After that how much time they gave AB and BK to be comfortable with each other? I guess only second week, its been shown that they fall into each other arms and love story starts too. They have been put up into several song sequences after serial start. Amazing fact is PMMKA has not completed 2 months even and this is already 5th song sequence in show. I am sure next week we will have one more if they are planning for Holi celebration. Agree with the fact, there are certain emotions could be depicted beautifully with song sequence. And Chandu being fond of guitar this was expected. But question is if I want to see just song sequence being played, I will switch on the music channel than watching PMMKA. That's anytime better!

In fact I am complaining that for this love story and song sequences PMMKA creatives team are leaving so many bloopers and gaps in story which are not covered yet. I dont have objection on song sequences. But then don't make it forceful on audience. Let them come naturally in a flow so that viewers will not feel bored.

And moreover I am sure channel doesn't look for count of fans, VM, FF or anything like that. They are into business and they only look for TRPs. However sad fact is that, they are also not visible anywhere....

I am not saying all this, because I want to criticize without watching show even. I am saying this because I do watch it daily keeping my personal preferences aside and I expect that quality to be delivered. The day I find, I am not getting what I am demanding/expecting I have remote control in my hand.

Jaya, again I am saying same thing. Justifying anyone's character may not work. That should come out from serial so that audience don't need to put their brains and imaginations for it......

@ Hira

I would have avoided commenting here, as i actually do not bother abt these interviews, had u not brought the story in here.

Well, for me, the love story, itself is forced, it was not given time to grow, the way Chandu has been shown crazy about Niru without any substance or base, leaves the viewers all messed up. It seems like another 3 hr movie romance - u see, u fall in love, some probs and u meet again. And apart from that it has messed up other characters and whole plot of the show.

Chandu as a character, is being turned into a road side romeo, who cares about nothing but a girl he met few days ago. I m sorry, but i wasnt too happy to see him dreaming about that girl and sulking after his father asked him to concentrate on his career. It seemed he is being forced, and is not into it totally from his heart.

As for Niru, i repeat, i m yet to understand her character, because, she seems like a multi-faced person, or someone suffering from multiple personality disorder. Albela and Sarja both are goons, then y when she can answer Albela back, she cant do the same with Sarja.
She acts like this brave girl with her sister and infront of Chandu she becomes a damsel in distress, completely beyond me.

Coming to Bhavna Khatri, like u said, to each his own, she is lacking BIG time as far as acting in concerned, and i can sight not one but many instances.
I didnt understand, y u brought Rati Pandey here? i mean isnt it obvious, that people who liked Rati, will not like her. I have seen her work, in her previous both shows, and she is an amazing actress, people having seen her obviously will not like Bhavna, coz she neither has poise, not expressions like Rati. Bhavna, doesnt look like a lady also, she looks like sme besotted teenager, so there cant be any spark in her scenes with Arjun.

anyways, i hope the showmakers wake up, smell the coffee, and do something, else doomsday is very near.

written update....

it starts with small clips of the song sequence....
and ArAv sing musu musu haasi together ! where arjun says DIL malai lai again and again...looks like he is forgettin lyrics ever now and then lol

and he says ki main maafi maang raha hoon gaane ke zariye...and music plays an imp role in
everybody's life and issse acha tareeka nahi ho sakta maafi mangane ka and chandu ne yehi tareeka apnaya hai nd uske baba ko bhi le kar aaya hai...

then BK says ki chandu ne ek bahut see rude si harqat kari mere saath and main naaraz hhoon usse..but she says the fact that he sings for me and gets my baba is really nice (AB interrupts and says SWEET...and something like adjectives ki kami hai :S i didnt get wat exactly he said lol) ...and says ki mujhe lagta hai ki main is gaane ko sun kar haass doongi kyunki mujhe acha laga...

then she says ki chandu toh bahut acha ladka hai waise...lekin wo mujhe gusse mein kuch bol gaya and mujhe bahut bura laga...deliberately usne hurt nahi karna chaha but hurt ho gaya...( AB says kitni sweet hai meri liye bhi explaination de rahi hai...very good very good...BK says tum extra bologe mujhe laga main bol deti hoon ...AB says wo tu tumhara deptartment hai..both laugh..)

BK: abhi tak usne propose nahi kiya hai....humari thodi bahut frndship badd rahi hai and acha insaan agar aake aapko propose kare toh mana nahi karna chahiye....LOL

AB:pehle toh main uske liye ek acha sa gana gaaonga....he then puts the rose in his mouth..and says gana gaa nahi sakta mooh mein flower hai....and the he takes it out and gives it to her ROFL (BK's expression is like shud i take or not...its filled with his saliva haha) and says i love niru....BK: i love you too....(takes a pause and says) chandu....
AB: ye chandu badi late aaya... both have a good laugh about it....

@Andyluvstv..👏.. loved it what u said ..Loved the bold bit.. first mayurians were dragged ...then they were branded we were jealous fans 😆😆😆 because fans commented on bhavna comment " Accept me opposite Chandu" .....Well Actors has full right to prove themselves oppostive anybody based on their talent n screen presence rather than expecting fangroup to accept this onscreen jodi .. i m shocked...

@Hira.. Nobody is expecting bhavna to be rati😆😆 , how can we ,we cannot even think that in our dream .. why do we expect her to be like Rati ,you just need to see their career graph and u will get the answer by urself, she is an indivudual n If she is a good actress than she will get recognition due to her work not by pleading fans,Actors has to PROVE themselves WITH their ACTING AND HARD WORK .

BTW TRP of this show is saying everything.. CM and Shani Devta get better TRP than this ..PH promised a lot when show started but now it has gone down the drain .......Hope Jaldi PH kee Annkhe Khule.. nahi to It wont take long for imagine to axe this show also like they axed AKBA and RS...

AB: twist toh rahega hee is kahani mein...bina twist ke kahani chalti nahi hai ...twist hee twist hai LOL
nd he says more than comin together ...the process of coming together is more relatable...and logon ko pasand aata hai ki kaise log alag hoke milte hai,..and milke alag hote hai ( and he does pst pst so many times LOL)

and he says humare time slot bhi aisa hai that wen u come back home u want to see something sweet...i think the love bit in our story is really interesting....

they talk bout WC...( this interview was taken before the quaters i think cos AB says ) 'ki jab bhi india aur pak saath aaye bhale semi ya quater final mein aaye toh i just want them to win...make sure u win...
its the most interesting match for everyone...specially indians...kyun iska craze hee aag hota hai and its finals for me...."

Bk : "i just want them to play welll...there is this sportsman spirit that winning and losin is not imp u shud just play well...agar haarte bhi haan toh lage ki kya khela tha and jeet gaye toh kya khela jeet gaye....'

BK ;" IF viewers ko main ye kahongi ki humara new show start hua hai its needs a lot of support from ur side...usse dekhein and AB and meri chemistry ko pasand kare...
just accept me as a good co star opposite Arjun...bcos thats somethin ppl dont want to accept
(AB says kya punch line hai) she laughs...she says at some point of time bura lagta hai that ppl are just not acceptin but we are tryin our best.. chaahongi ki wo batate rahe kya missing hai kyunki usse aap improve hote hain...so just like us!!"
