Maruti Ji - take my salute - Page 2

I just finished catching up on all the episodes for the week courtesy of me totally bogged down with all wonderful woes of a life of a student (read: tests 😆). Anyhow I am just going to say that it was one galvanizing performance by the actor who plays Maruti Ji with him having full control over the emotions, beautiful execution and moving dialogues. As for the actual content of his speech in context with the current situation, some of you, I see, are not convinced by his little tirade. I think the idea, as far as I've gathered, is that Maruti ji is a self made man of principles. An extreme devotee to his country and his position as a public servant, he leaves no chance in being highly flamboyant in his demeanor when it comes justifying the moral principles and ideologies that his job entails should he feel his dignity is under threat. To my mind, the whole purpose of his high emotions was the pent up frustration he was nursing inside since the last time Sarja mocked him about his job and I really saw it as more of condescending gesture whereby he probably found it relieving to be clear cut about both their positions on the field at that juncture- Sarja on the defensive and him on the attack. There's no doubt about it- the guy is a devout public servant and so that was more or less expected. Wonderful perfomance by the actor who enacts this role!

PS: I can't believe I eluded this from the discussion above but Kapil Nirmal deserves an equal, and a raucous one that, rounf of applause! I dare say he is the strongest -yet- in the clan of leads and I can see he totally enjoys his role and gives it full justification 👏 I love his enigmatic, placid, resolute nature. To me, Sarja is a guy who is craving for attention, understanding and maybe a hope that he can someday quell all the propaganda of him being the 'baddie on the streets' just because he fails- knowingly or not- to convey the rationale for his doings. Won't elaborate on his character because I feel I have digressed quite a bit as it is but yeah he is one of my favorite characters of show and I'm beyond impressed with Kapil Nirmal as an actor😃
