Today's episode is another pass IMHO.
Putana's wandering through Gokul, sees child Krishna, and is like "why is the entire village attracted to him? Is he the 8th child? Oh well, time to kill him." Heads to a cave where she calls for a bunch of snakes to give their poison.

Kamsa says he's going to kill Devaki, but doesn't want to kill her because of her promise, blah blah blah. Vasudev steps in front of him and does the usual. "Devaki won't die right now. Devaki will die after your death."

Kamsa leaves.

In Vaikuntha, you know who asks Vishnu some questions like usual. Vishnu says that Devaki's will to live with come from her motherly instincts.

Meanwhile in Gokul, it's night time and everyone is sleeping. Putana, the great ugly beast, is roaming around as if everything is fine. Child Krishna wakes up to the sound of a calf mooing. Child Krishna has a conversation with calf while a certain group of three watches and gives commentary on it.

"Prabhu, you said that Krishna doesn't know who he is, yet he's so compassionate to the calf."

Child Krishna tries to find some ladoos to feed the calf, and Putana shows up. She knows that the kid she wants to kill is in Nanda's house, but she just stands outside the door while the calf moos.

Krishna tries to sneak back out, but his anklets are giving him away. So he has to wait a while before sneaking out.

He feeds the calf, tells him to go sleep next to its mother, and then guess who pops up behind him. His parents. He fakes tiredness and innocence, etc.

Oh and Kamsa is now pissed off at Putana.

The only pro of today's episode was it went by super quickly. I was expecting the end to be where it was.

Overall rating: 3/10 (mainly because of that last scene where Krishna acts all innocent, it was cute to watch, especially with Nanda and Yashoda in that scene).

Not a huge fan of the child actor. Someone mentioned it before (I think it was Lola) -- the kid doesn't give off that vibe.

So they are making Krishna look like some clueless child, when in fact, He knew exactly who He was, and that is the reason the events happened the way they did *rolls eyes at makers*
And why is Putana not dead? 🥱
And why is Maa Devaki trying to kill herself? 🤢

Good example, Nandini. In all Christian movies, Mother Mary is depicted in a very divine, ethereal sense that it's evident she is the mother of God and deserving of the stature.

It is only in our society that people are even allowed to add drama in scriptures. In other religions, it would be considered blasphemy.

Yes,true. In Islam too this isn't accepted. Don't understand what do these stupid CVs get from twisting the real story.

I'm at work, so no personal update. Read the WU online, and looks like the Yashoda part is the only one worth watching.
Kamsa twists Prapti's hand (bechari) and makes her put the tika on her head.

Putana's lie is that she goes from village to village making feasts for children while on her yatra. You would think that word spreads fast that a nice lady is giving free food during her journey, but clearly not.

Anyway, Putana's plan is to kill all the kids with some lovely poisoned kheer. I'm guessing an Aghasura type conclusion, where after child Krishna kills Putana (sudharshana chakra style maybe), he revives all his friends.

It's thursday, so you know what that means! Paramavatar Shri Krishna!
So how was the episode, you ask? BAKHWAS, although one of the gopis was pretty cute (for the curious minded ones, the one in the light purple one 😆😆😆).

I rolled my Bhagavan Kamsa magic 8 ball to see what our future was gonna be like, and he said "Tathastu." 😳

Okay, enough side track, let's get on to the show.

Show starts with Krishna and Gang following Putana to see what she is up to. Krishna says that Putana looks like some funny business. Putana is begging for rice and milk, etc.

Dau tells Krishna that they need to free the calves before the Gopis reach the gaushala, so they can suckle the milk from their mothers. How will they do it, you wonder?

Krishna says the art of love (prem se).

He removes all his jewelry, lies on a cart, and awaits the Gopis to arrive. They come, ask what's up, and Krishna says that he is angry at Yashoda because he told her that the gopis love him more than Yashoda. Yashoda told him to have the Gopis do his "shringar", and so here was little Krishna ... angry at his mom.

Gopis take this chance to do Krishna's shringar while Krishna's friends freed the calves. Some villager guy informs the gopis what happened and they rush off. Krishna's friends are still hiding in the gaushala (for whatever reason), but they get noticed while escaping.

They meet Krishna, tell him to run, and away they go.

Putana sees Krishna running towards her, and she stops dead still giving off her weird expressions. Krishna's yellow cloth touches her and she gets some kind of shock or something. She falls down into the mud, and Krishna laughs. He spouts some Mother Yashoda philosophical quotes, and extends his hand to help her up.

Putana, being the dumb idiot that she is, recalls what happened, but reaches out to grab Krishna's hand. Just before those two meet, the Gopis close in, so Krishna has to run.

Vasudev and Devaki are playing tag, where Devaki is running and Vasudev is trying to catch. It's a nice garden, so they are laughing and having fun. Trying to make this as romantic as possible. It's just a memory Vasudev has of him and Devaki.

Gopis arrive at Yashoda's house to complain about Krishna's plan, Yashoda brings Krishna out, and Krishna lies about what actually happened. He does "isharas" behind Mother Yashoda's back whenever she sided with him.

Gopis are disappointed, and leave. Krishna does one more ishara, but is caught by Mother Yashoda. She takes him to a room, and ties him with a rope.

Putana is pissed off at Krishna. She couldn't get her milk, she couldn't use the poison, she fell in the mud, and it was all Krishna's fault. She decides to use (goat? buffalo? - I didn't catch that, but it's definitely not cow) milk so she can kill Krishna and all the kids with the poison.

Oh and the trio make their timely appearance as well to either smile or give commentary (though it was only Narada who had lines today).

Overall Rating: 2.5/10

The Krishna-Yashoda-Gopis part was okay, I didn't like the dialogues personally.

Recommendation: Ehhh, skip today as well.

I watched the short clips just so you wouldn't have to be here talking to yourself, Shyam 😆
The only good news seems to be that they took our feedback about "Vaasudev" and now everyone's saying it right.

Of all the storylines audiences would have wanted to see in more detail than ever shown before, I don't think ANYONE ever clamored for an extended track on f'ing Pootna 😔 I don't know how they don't realize how annoying and boring it is. Please, for the love of Krishna, move on people!

Krishna's antics and "explanations" haven't gotten any cuter or more profound, and although the kid speaks well, he can't help that he doesn't have the vibe, so it just doesn't feel like we're watching Bal Gopal. Gungun as Yashoda is the saving grace of their scenes together; wish they got Nand Baba and Rohini more involved (esp. after giving the latter such a dramatic introduction).

Re: bedridden &Devaki, I am semi-hopeful from &Vishnu's "vaatsalya will save her" commentary yesterday that she might spring up dramatically when Putna endangers her son's life. It would be cheesy, but it would make up for some of the damage they've done with the character. &Vasu's acting and characterization continue to improve, but until she wakes up, it's basically going to be the same scene over and over.

@Shyam are you the same Shyam from the Mahabharata forum ??
And I might just give up on this show. Now I have started to get bored

They are going so slow. I think Krishna will never grow up and the show will end
