I thought the makers were just taking creative liberty 😆

It's not a folktale.

It's from Brahma Vaivarta Purana, which is the source of most of the Radha-Krishna stories we have today.

The Shrimad Bhagavatham describes the gopis, but it does not name any of them and thus Radha is not mentioned. It's from Brahma Vaivarta Purana that we learn most about Radha.

Also now how will they show Rukmini? Wasnt she the Lakshmu Avtar? Atleast i read that in mahabharat

Also i have read all Asgtabharya were the avtar of Ashtalajshmi? Is that true?

Mahalakshmi was born many times in Krishna avatar, not just once.

She was born as Radha, and later as all eight of the ashtabharya.

Radha was not able to marry Krishna, because of a curse by their devotee Shridama, but their love was true and pure, and as the ashtabharya, Lakshmi was finally united with Krishna in the physical sense.

The Pandit Ji who did Srimad Bhagvatam Mahasaptah in our house told us that Sut Ji the narrator of Srimadbhagavatam considered Rasharani as his guru hence he has not named her but Gopis mean Radha only

I want to know about Devi Yog Maya
I read a chapter of the Durga Saptashati everyday

according to that Devi Yog Maya or Vishnu Maya or Mahamaya also known as Devi Vindhyavasini is Goddess Adi Shakti herself who is a consort of Lord shiva

Durgasaptashati in one chapter also mentions that Vishnu and Uma or Mahamaya were created together by Adi Parashakti and hence are brother and sister

It also mentions that Devi Mahamaya is power behind all Gods and all actions in this world. without her Karma is not possible so she is the sudarshan and the trishul

So this is from DS

I want to know is there any other version to Devi Yogmaya and who she is?

That comes from the base of the Devi Puranas.
But in Vishnu-based Puranas, Vishnu created Yogamaya as the Maya that the world sees. Lakshmi Herself is also Hari Maya in a way, and that is called Vaishnavi Maya. Vaishnavi Maya is that Maya which comes into play when you have realised Hari, so it is highly rare in today's world. Yogamaya is the Maya we see everyday, we experience.
The origin is Vishnu, and He made all forms. There is one branch of Vaishnavism which believes that it is from Lakshmi's Shakti that the other two Trideviyon came, while from Vishnu the other two Tridevon came. It is that same Sampradaya which believes that it was Lakshmi in one of her various forms who took the form of Durga, as she Herself gave Parvati and Saraswati.

The tridevi - Parvathi, Lakshmi, Saraswati - are all 'maya'. The maya who accompanies Lakshmi is Mahamaya, and the maya who accompanies Parvathi is Yogamaya. Thus, the maya who is born to Yashoda is Yogamaya, who is later born to Devaki as Subhadra and thus a sister to Krishna (Parvathi being sister to Vishnu).

Wjat was the curse die to which Radha and Krishna could not get martied?
Also many say Radha rani was older to krishna and also some say she was married. Doea this have any base?

Radha Ashtami comes aftee Sri Krishna Janmashtami. By that basis she should be younger if theu were born in the same year .

Once Shridama, one of Krishna's devotees came to seek the blessings of Krishna in Golok. At that point, Krishna was busy romancing Radha, so no one really paid attention. This angered Sudama and he cursed them to be separated for a hundred years on Earth. Radha in turn cursed him to become the poorest of the poor. Later during MB, Radha-Krishna incarnated as themselves and Shridama was born as Sudama. 😳
Also many say Radha rani was older to krishna and also some say she was married. Doea this have any base? Yeah. Many people take her to be married to Ayaan Ghosh, Yashoda's cousin. This story is very popular in Bengal specifically. This is surrounded by a fog of stories that involve Radha being tortured by her MIL and nanad, Kutila and Jatila, and Krishna being nearly caught every time he visits Radha, by the latter.

Radha Ashtami comes aftee Sri Krishna Janmashtami. By that basis she should be younger if theu were born in the same year . There goes a folk tale where, when they were supposed to be incarnating, Krishna told Radha, "You go, I'll follow." That's basically the mother of this belief.

This was, to the best of my knowledge. Others, feel free to correct me if I've gone wrong. 😳
