Yes, they have explored (read stretched) that track with Dhara. I don't think they would want to show the exact same things with another person even though they do like repeating things. They also don't deal with sensitive matters well so I actually hope they don't as they will just end up making a mockery of it.

How they have managed to continue showing this for a year and a half amazes me. They have truly ruined Dhara's character so badly and reduced Gautam to nothing but her yes-man.

It can go either way. If not for the impending leap and mention of brothers separating, I wouldn't be surprised if they showed he was only holding himself back from defending Dhara.

They refuse to show him being objective about things till now but don't know what lies in the future. Hopefully he will start seeing Dhara as a human being capable of making mistakes and so allow others to call her out on them.

He has been shown very attached to the store but still didn't have any major reaction to losing it. Wonder what will happen next which will cause him to take such a drastic step as separating from the family.
