Drabble 7: I Care
After madly dancing for almost an hour, Raavi settled besides an agitated Prafulla, who pulled Raavi by her arm and dragged her to her room, so that she won't create more scene, all the while signalling Anita to handle the guests.
As they entered her room, she pushed Raavi to the bed and joined her hands in front of her. "Aee Mara Bhogilal, Kyun meri izzat ka kachra karne pe tuli hui hai tu? Tune hi iss shaadi ke liye haan kiya tha, Kiya tha na? To fir bahar woh sab tamasha kya tha? Tu to raise naach rahi thi ki tu koi devdas ki tarah apne pyaar ko bhula nahi payi hai. Aur inn sab ke beech tu sharab peeke aayi hai? Kiss haramkhor ne tujhe daaru di mujhe tu woh bata, Fir dekhna mein kaise uski chatni banati hun. Bol? Are mein kuch puch rahi hun Raavi, Bhai kuch to bol!!!"
Raavi just laughed dizzily and laid back on the pillow, to intoxicated to even reply to her. Prafulla felt bad for her and settled beside her on the bed as she caressed her face lovingly. "Meri bacchi ka kya haal kar diya hai uss junglee ne. Talak hone ke baad bhi peecha nahi chodta meri bacchi ka. Kaisi halat bana li tune apni Raavi. Par mein itni nirdayi nahi hun ki teri shaadi itni jaldbaazi mein kar dun. Ab jab tak tu khudse uss ladke se shaadi ke liye haan nahi bolegi, mein teri Shaadi nahi karwaungi. Yeh teri Mausi ka tujhse waada hai bhai." Prafulla smiled sadly and walked out of her room.
She knew Raavi required some alone time to recover.
But she didn't know, she was not going to be alone for the night.

Shiva climbed the ladder as he made his way to Raavi's room. He knew he was the ex-son-in-law of the house, but due to his foolish deeds, he had to, unfortunately, approach the unethical way.
As he reached her window and glanced inside, he saw Prafulla walking out of her room, and this was a very good chance to walk in. So he silently jumped in, alerting Raavi who looked startled at the sudden intrusion.
"SHIVA??" Raavi gasped as he stood rooted to his spot, debating on how to approach her or start the conversation.
"Tu yahaan kya kar raha hai?" Was a simple question, but he knew he had to answer the question in his own way.
Shiva could not understand how to talk about his heart to Raavi. Till now, every time he has spoken to Raavi, he has spoken only bitter words, words only and only of hatred. He is deeply in love with Raavi, but with the way he has behaved in the last few days, he does not even deserve an apology. But even the thought of staying away from Raavi makes him feel worse than death, and therefore he wants to start a new life with her by seeking forgiveness for all his mistakes.
But the thought of her getting married to someone else breaks her heart. Earlier he himself wanted to drive her out of his life, but now, when she is really gonna go completely away from his life, he has realized that he has made the biggest mistake of his life. And in any case, he will continue to make up for all those mistakes.
"Raavi mein.."
"Kuch bolne ki zaroorat nahi hai Shiva. Mujhpe hasne ke liye aaya hai to please chala jaa. Tere liye to yeh sab hasi mazaak hi hai na. Mujhe takleef pahuncha kar tujhe pehle bhi maza hi aaya hai. Aaj bhi maza aa raha hoga mujhe aise halat mein dekh ke. Haina?"
Shiva felt hurt at her words but stayed quiet. He knew he deserved it. Raavi didn't know why he wasn't mocking her just the way he used to do when she was about to marry Dev. That Shiva absolutely hated her. But the guy in front of her, even though he hated her, she couldn't dare to hate him. She loved him with a certain passion, a passion which was infinite folds more than what she had for Dev.
But the guy didn't want her and didn't love her anymore. She didn't know she was in for a big surprise when he asked his question.
"Tu iss shaadi se khush hai?" Shiva asked, sincerely hoping she denied having any interest in the marriage.
"Haan khush hun. Bahut khush hun." She glared hard, as she got up from the bed and staggered on her steps, making her way to where he stood.
"Haan Khush hun. Lekin andar se, jaan nikal rahi hai meri. Yeh Dil haina.." She tapped her chest, right over hear heart "Ye mera Dil, tinke tinke ke bhaav bikhar raha hai. Aur mein kuch nahi kar sakti, kyunki mere dil ke tukdon ko sametne ki takat ab mujhme nahi hai. Bachpan se, Bachpan se Maine ek aisa partner chaha hai, jo mujhse beinteha pyaar kare. Bahut ummedein lagayi thi tum dono Pandya Bhaiyon se. Dev ne to shaadi ke din meri umeed todi, mein phir bhi apne ko yeh dilasa deti rahi ki koi nahi. Dev nahi to shayad Shiva se hi meri umeed puri ho jayegi. Kyunki jab tune mujhe khandar mein bachaya tha na, tabhi mein tujhpe fida ho gayi thi. Jo ladka mujhse itni nafrat kar sakta hai lekin mujhe bachane ke loye, mujhe zinda rakhne ke liye mere liye ladd sakta hai aur mere liye to bhi sakta hai, to yeh Insaan jab mujhse pyaar karega to mere kya hoga? Kabhi socha hai ki main kitna tadpi hun tere humare rishte ko sweekar karne ke liye? Ek saal hone wala tha humari Shaadi ko, lekin humne ek baar bhi ek dusre ko bina lade haath nahi lagaya tha. Kya meri koi zarrorat nahi hain? Kya mein apne pati ke pyaar ko paane ke liye usse lad bhi nahi sakti thi?"
She clutched his shirt and pulled him towards her. "Kya mere itne paas aane pe tere dil ki dhadkan nahi badti thi? Bol na Shiva. Bol?"
But before he could answer, she fainted in his arms, as she laid her head over his chest. Shiva smiled as he picked her up in his arms and walked to the bed. As they both settled on the bed, he grabbed the mehendi cone and wrote his name on her left hand where he saw a blank space. He smiled as he admired his name on her palm. He saw most of her mehendi had dried off and had chipped away from her hand. Just his name was wet on her palm. He quickly got hold of some cotton and prepared some oil and added some sugar to it and walked back to where she lay. He lightly pressed the dipped cotton on her palms and arms, trying to make sure he didn't wake her up. She needed rest to let the alcohol leave its effects from her system.
As he lay beside her, he chuckled. She thought she didn't have any effect on him? She didn't know to what extent her presence affected his mental state. He always debated why he felt all giddy and worked up the moment Raavi closed the distance between them.
He suddenly remembered the dream which he had seen and he has been seeing it from time to time.

Shiva loved how Raavi giggled at the bubbles that popped on her cheeks. They had come to a Somnath Mela as he had promised Raavi once. He had been very busy with all the Store work, and with Dev being busy with Rishita and his baby, he and Gaumbi were trying to manage all the work at once.
After realizing that they couldn't live without each other, They confessed their love to each other and had gotten married again with everyone's blessings. To say they were happy and were living the perfect fairytale. They had successfully completed one month of their marriage, and they were going for their honeymoon once they hired someone for help.
Even though he was busy, he knew he had to take care of his Wife's happiness. So he had promised Raavi to take her to the Mela so they could spend so lone time together.
After spending the entire day and enjoying the various rides, some tasty ice goal, they had shared their first kiss, and both were shy for the first time with all the feelings going haywire. Even though they were bold sometimes, but sharing their first kiss together after all these hardships was a treat to their love.
So Instead of driving to the Store, Shiva took the route to his home and parked his bike. Raavi, who had thankfully come out of her dreamy state noticed that they were home.
"Why are we Home? Tumhe to store jana tha na? Ghar pe aa gaye hain to Store ka kaam kaise hoga?" she asked as they walked inside the house, hand in hand
Shiva knew this question was coming and as he peeped from the window, his doubts were confirmed.
Disha was following them. Even though he had expressed his concerns that she had no luck with her, now that he was happily married to Raavi again, but the girl just wasn't ready to hear it.
So he knew he had to repeat the kiss that they shared. Because even though first time is a charm, Second time is a treat.
His gaze returned to Raavi who was looking at him questioningly. Without uttering anything, he grabbed her shoulders and pulled her petite body flush against his, hugging her, practically inhaling the scent, like the dog he is.
Raavi was shocked, to say the least as she shivered within his hold. Her body went rigid for the second time in a row, but this time Shiva suddenly hugged her like this was completely new for her. And he was sniffing her like crazy, even though she was all sweaty from all the fun that she had.
But as he whispered the next words, she knew his sudden change in behaviour had a definite motive. "Listen to me carefully, woh Bandariya Disha humara peecha karte hue yahaan tak aa gayi hai, jo mein karu sirf mera saath dogi? Yeh ek bahut accha mauka hai Bandariya Disha ko batane ka ki mein usme bilkul bhi interest nahi hun. Mein sirf aur sirf tera hun. Aur zindagi bhar tera hi rahunga. Thik hai?" he whispered slowly in her ear which sent little tingles down her spine.
She nodded nevertheless. She had promised him that she'd do anything to divert his attention from Disha.
He moved back and gave her a bright smile. "Raavi, tumne bataya nahi ki tumhare exams kabse hain?"
She scrunched her eyebrows at the sudden change of question. "Abhi 2 mahine pehle hi to hue hain. Next exams ab 6 mahine baad honge." She replied innocently.
He smirked as he picked her up in his arms and pecked her nose. "Chalo accha hai. Humein raat mein ek saath bahut waqt milega...Haina??"
Raavi blushed hard as she hide her face in his neck and wrapped her arms more tightly around his neck. She chuckled as she saw Disha running away with tears in her eyes. She didn't feel an ounce of guilt for making the poor girl cry, but she kind of deserved it.
Shiva smirked too as he saw Disha running away, and he glanced back at Raavi with all the love he had for her. He nuzzled his nose with hers and leaned closer to claim her lips....

And that's when the dream used to end. He couldn't see the kisses clearly in the dream as they always were a blur. But seeing these kinds of dreams always made him think that this was a sign of his heart, which was craving Raavi badly, just like she has been craving him, craving his love.
As he glanced at a sleeping Raavi, he gathered her in his arms as tears glistened his eyes. There has been a record that he hadn't got what he had always craved for. He had to leave his bright future for his elder brother, or else his life would have been different. Then, maybe he would have been more eligible to love Raavi with all his heart. He didn't tell anyone but every time Prafulla demeaned him and called as a "Junglee" or a "Jaanwar", he felt like crying as he didn't ask for this kind of life. He had sacrificed his perfect life so someone else could have it. And for the anger, he could help it as it was in his nature by default. He had the craziest anger issues anyone could ever have, but if Raavi could love this Beast, he could only hope she could love him the way he was and accept him with all his flaws.
He sensed a sudden movement on his chest and he knew Raavi was sobering up. He quickly grabbed the glass of water and a pain killer and before she could question him about his presence in her room, he popped the pill in her mouth and stuffed the glass in her mouth. As she gulped the water down, she closed her eyes as she tried to control the headache.
"Tu theek hai Raavi? Tera sarr dukh raha hai?" He asked as he cupped her cheeks and made her look up. She snatched her cheeks away from his hold and looked at him accusingly.
"As if you care? Tujhe to sirf apne dukh aur dard se matlab hai na." He looked down in shame as he knew she was telling the truth. She crushed her dupatta under hold and looked away. "Mere dukh aur dard ki tujhe kya hi parwah hai. Mein yahaan mar bhi rahi hungi na, fir bhi tujhe koi farak.." her sentence was left incomplete as she was angrily grabbed her face and pulled her towards him.
"I DO CARE.. I f*cking do care Okay? Aisa hota na to yahaan tu mujhe durr ho gayi hai aur mein raise marr nahi rha hota teri judayi mein." He pulled her hand and placed it on his chest, right above his heart. "Ye karti hai tu mere dil ko. Mera dil raise paglon ki tarah dhadkne lagta hai..Aisa lagta hai ki mein kahi bhi jaun, kisise bhi milun, Tu jaise mujhe feel karwati hai, koi nahi karwa sakta..."
Raavi's eyes widened in realization as he confessed the truth.
And the next thing that happened, she didn't even imagine that she would experience this feeling...
