Dhurandhar's soundtrack is stealing the show, with hits like the title track, Fa9la, and Shararat, featuring Ayesha Khan and Krystle D'Souza. The song's choreographer, Vijay Ganguly, revealed that Tamannaah Bhatia was initially considered for Shararat, but director Aditya Dhar vetoed the idea, opting for two dancers instead. Dhar wanted to avoid making the song an "item number" that distracts from the film's narrative.
How dancers for Shararat were selected
During a wedding celebration, Shararat unfolds, featuring dancers Ayesha and Krystle entertaining guests. Choreographer Vijay Ganguly disclosed that Tamannaah Bhatia was his initial selection for the song, revealing a creative vision. In my head, she was (the one). I had suggested her, but Aditya was very clear that he did not want what people call an item song, something that went out of the story. If it were just about one girl, it would have taken attention away from the story, he explained.
Aditya persuaded Vijay to feature two dancers in the song, leading to Ayesha and Krystle's inclusion. This decision transformed the performance, adding a new dimension. He (Aditya) didn't want the attention to be about this one person. If it were Tamannaah, it would've been about her and not the story." He also added, "Jo ho raha tha film mein, there was a lot going on, and if you go away from the story, then the song is just a cut-to song, Vijay explained.
