Why do I feel like the store guy is the NRI chosen by Maami?

Both Suman Kaki & Mami are such horrible examples of motherhood. Both of them don't care for their children, and place their ego over & above.

It just makes me more appreciative of my own parents. They've been looking for a guy for me, and despite the paternal side of the family saying that I should not have too many expectations or conditions for my future spouse, my mom told all of them that I'm the one who has to get married so the most important things to consider in the boy would be my expectations.

Despite this going on for tha last two years, my parents have stood by me and have not let anyone else tell me what I should or should not do.

This is what a parent does. They support you, guide you, correct you, stand up to the world for you.

They do not abuse you, run roughshod over your wishes, deceive you or trap you in villainous plans, or marry you off like you are cattle.

This show makes such a mockery of such an important & beautiful relationship of that between a parent and child.
