Nah, they're just harder to make, Sanchi. My mother says the batter has to be just the right amount of watery. They'll stick to the pan no matter what you do, so you'll have to use enough oil.

One trick to keep any dosa from sticking is to cut an onion and spread some oil on the pan with it before pouring the batter. Helps a lot.
