Lizzie🤗!!! I don't really know why you called this unconventional... Because it's not how most people see their first time being when they're imagining it? But in reality, this happens more often is what I feel like..
That aside, this was super funny😆! The moments where you almost think they can't possibly be talking about sex, then the next moment you realise oh they are! Despite that, Shivi had their own little romantic moments, and it was great seeing them be such a real couple, I suppose. Almost as if they aren't in that sometimes unreachable world of fiction that they live in more often...
PS Nalla has a sex toy in the car? Show Rishita might be more satisfied, ya know? If you were the one writing Nalla down, pretty sure he sleeps on the floor more often than not these days..
PPS I know I haven't read the last few chapters of your SS, but college keeps me suuuuuper busy! I'll probably get to it, sometime... Sigh...
Hi Sathya (hope I got your name right!)
I'm so glad you enjoyed this and found a thread of realism in the whole interlude because more often than not sex is like this - funny, weird, messy and not the romantic, passionate stuff you see/read in fiction. I was glad I was able to get ShiVi out from their fictional universe and make it seem like they inhabited our real world for a while!
About Dev having a sex toy, I really hadn't thought much of it except as a plot device to use as punchline! 😆
Perhaps it means that Rishita isn't really satisfied with their sex life or it could mean that they're into some really adventurous, next-level, kinky stuff! 😆
Oh, and by unconventional I was referring to the fact that this had only dialogues. I realize it can be frustrating for readers (some did tell me it was and then the humor won them over!) because of no descriptions. I know it was difficult for me, as a writer, to write since I had to put in everything in the dialogue that you would normally see in descriptions, such as the expression on their faces or the tone of their voice. It's extremely challenging, I can tell you that much! It's like telling a writer to write without using the letter 'e'! 😆 But also fun!
Thanks for reading, Sathya and no problem about the SS. You'll get to it when you'll get to it! 😆
