Shivi TS: Kitna laadhenge? (complete)

I'm back with another cliché TS. This is what I wished would happen in the maha episode

Kitna laadhenge?

Devastated, that's how she felt. Once again, she was rendered helpless as she watched the man she loved become someone else's. Tears were filled to the brim in her eyes and she felt her heart clenched, begging to be released from the pain. Suddenly, the world began growing darker and darker until complete blackness filled her vision. She heard a couple voices yell, but she couldn’t distinguish who it was. That was the last thing she remembered when she collapsed.

If there is anything that scares Chattan Pandya, it's seeing his chipkali in a vulnerable position. There have been many times in his life where he had to witness Raavi break down and each time got worse than the last. His heart was already pounding when his mother nudged his hand towards Disha’s. He wanted to look at her, to will her into spilling the truth but he knew he would break down on seeing her heart-broken face. Shiva stared at the ground when he felt a cold metal brush against his fingers. When he heard his bhabhis scream for Raavi, his blood ran cold. He turned around, yanking his hand away from Disha only to find Raavi on the floor in Rishita’s arms.

He was at a crossroad. On the one hand was the promise he made to his mother, his opportunity at a ‘better’ life, and on the other was Raavi who was his life. Shiva’s control snapped and he ran to her, not even bothering to explain anything to Disha. He couldn’t stay away anymore, not when she needed him. He pushed Dev and Gaumbi aside and took her in his arms. Vaguely, Shiva heard someone on the phone with a doctor but he didn’t have it in him to focus on that conversation. Shiva carried her over to their room. He couldn’t help but wonder how this would feel under different circumstances: her in his arms as they both are dressed up to celebrate their wedding.

Gently, he placed her on their bed and reached over for a glass of water. There was a loud crash. Shiva looked over only to realize that he had knocked over a full plate of that morning's lunch. ‘Okay so she is fine. She just skipped lunch.’ Shiva thought much to his relief. Rishita bhabhi arrived with a glass of water that he proceeded to sprinkle on her. He sighed with relief when she opened her eyes. Shiva expressed his concern the only way he knew how: through anger.

“Tu akkle kaha bech ke aa gai?! Pura din tunne yeh bakkwas sajawat ki par khanna nahi khaya?” His voice boomed.

“Kya?” Rishita interrupted, “Raavi, tune kal dinner bhi nahi kiya tha, breakfast toh karti nahi aur lunch bhi skip kiya? Thoda toh dhyaan rakha chaiye ne apna.”

Shiva was now boiling with anger. He knew for a fact that she had skipped lunch the day before since they had to go to court which meant that she hadn’t eaten in 2 days, was still doing household chores, taking care of Dhara bhabhi, and decorating the house for his engagement with another girl. He gave her one look and she knew she was done for. Shiva left the room. Raavi called for him, but he ignored her and proceeded to walk out.

The next half hour was a literal nightmare for her. She wasn’t allowed out of the room and she knew the love of her life was getting engaged to someone else less than 12 feet away from her. Raavi cried silently, praying for the pain to go away.

Finally, Shiva stepped back in the room with a plate of food. He got her to sit up and took a seat on the edge of the bed next to her. Raavi looked down, avoiding eye contact with Shiva at all costs. Shiva prepped a bite of roti and sabzi and brought it to her lips. She glanced at his hand and immediately looked up to him.

“Teri anghothi?” She asked, noticing his blank hand.

“Idhar main teri chinta main paagal hota jaa raha hoon aur tuje anghothi ki padi hai.” Her eyes looked back down and she took a bite of what he wanted to feed her. There was silence for a few more bites until Shiva spoke up again.

“Nahi ki maine sagai.”

“Saach?” Raavi asked with a tinge of hope.

“Haan. Tuje aise dekh ke laga to tuje meri zarurat zyada hai.”

“Shiva!” she whined.

“Kyu tune aisa kiya? Tuje kuch ho jata toh? Tu kyu meri jaan nikalne pe tuli hui hai? Pele bike wala drama phir tune toh khaana hi band kar diya.” he begged for answers.

“Itna sab toh ho gaya mere saath. Shiva, humara rishta almost toot gaya. Kya karu main? Aisa lagta hai jaise jeena hi bhul gai hu. Tuje uss Disha ke saath dekhti hoon toh shadi wale raat se dus gunna zyada bhura feel karti hoon aur fir Kaki bhi koi kasar nahi chodti muje yeh yaad dilane main ke teri life main mere liya koi jagga nahi hai. Main thak gai hoon akele ladte ladte. Ek dusre se aur ek dusre ke liye bhi. Muje bas ab shanti chaiye aur agar woh muje hosptial ke bed pe mila toh woh hi sahi.”

“Tu kabhi bhi bol ne se pele soch liya kar. Meri halat kharab ho gai thi tuje zammen pe dekh ke aur tuje shanti ke liye hospital jana hai? Tuje nahi ladna, thik hai. Nahi ladengi. Tu bas apne dil ki baat ke de phir khabhi nahi ladna padega.”

“Shiva, pichli baar…” Raavi got cut off.

“Main Dev nahi hoon.” Shiva asserted.

“I… I love you. Main tere saath rehna chahti hoon, teri biwi ban ke.” Raavi blurted out. She looked away in embarrassment.

“Main bhi tujse pyaar karta hoon. Aur humehsa karunga. Aaj se humare rishte ki nai shuruvat.” Shiva promised. Shiva continued to feed Raavi and Raavi would return the favor in between bites.

I would love to write a second part! Don't have many ideas, though. If there's something you would like to read, let me know and I can work that in. 😃

The family, in particular Suman's reaction would be interesting to see. Will she accept Raavi or will Shiva have to stand against her for it? Just a suggestion...

Hello, everyone! I'm back with a part 2! Thank you @pottermeow and @Suparna2210 for encouraging me to write this. Hope you all like it.

The first thing Shiva did when he woke up was reach out for his wife. He patted the space next to him hoping to pull her close and spend a few quiet moments with her. Much to his disappointment, Raavi was nowhere to be found. With his motivation to stay in bed no longer present, he got up to search for his wife.

Shiva opened the door only to find Raavi running past him while sobbing. Rishita came, calling out to her.

“Raavi, meri baat to sun…” Rishita called. Raavi already shut the door, shoving Shiva outside.

“Kya hua bhabhi? Yeh chipkali ke saath kuch jhagda hua?” He had been told to treat Rishita with respect but he couldn’t help add a hint of warning to his tone. He had promised to stand up for Raavi and he intended on fulfilling it.

“Nahi, Shiva, humara koi jhagda nahi hua. Woh Raavi maa ko chai de ne gai thi aur maa ne usse kuch zyada hi bol diya. Matlab main samaj ti hoon ki maa gussa hai par woh haar baat pe Raavi ki bazzti kar jaati hai.”

“Par maa ne inta kya bol diya ki Raavi ro rahi hai? Woh to bachpan se maa ka gussa janti hai.” Shiva knew she had been dealing with this for days but he had never seen her cry over it.

Shiva rolled his eyes at the last statement. “Dekh Shiva, main jaan ti hoon ki Mami ne bohot galat kiya hai tum sab ke saath par jaise tum sab Dhara bhabhi ya maa ke bare main kuch ulta sidha nahi sun sakte, hum bhi apne parents ke bare main hai sun sakte. Dhara Bhabhi ne bhi toh Raavi aur Dev ki shaadi ter kar ke galti ki thi na? Agar main ya Raavi woh galti ko pakad ke Dhara bhabhi ke bare main bhura bol te toh tum log kya karte?” Rishita started venting out her own frustrations but she knew the same applied to Raavi as well.

“Par Bhabhi…”

“Par kuch nahi, Shiva. Jaise humne tumhari family ko accept kiya hai unke sare flaws ke saath, tum humri family ke bare main humari samne toh bura bol na band kar hi sakte ho na? Woh jo bhi hai, humari zindagi ka hissa hai. Hum unki vaje se asie bane ki tum bhaio ko hum se pyaar ho gaya.” Rishit finally exhaled and let go of her frustration.

“Thik hai, bhabhi. Main aap ki baat samaj gaya. Shayad aap jo Dev se yeh baat kahoge to woh bhi samaj jaiga. Aur aap uss chipkali ki chinta mat karo. Main sambhal loonga.” Shiva said.

Rishita agreed and took off to find her husband. A mature discussion was all they needed. Shiva, on the other hand, had a much more difficult task ahead of him.

He started banging his fists on the bedroom door. “Raavi! Darvas khol warna main tood dunga!” He threatened. Raavi opened the door and let him in. His heart broke at her tear struck face.

“Kya hua?” He asked gently, wiping the tears.

“Kuch nahi. Main sambhal loongi. Muje 5 minute de. Tera tiffin pack kar na hai…” Raavi trailed off.

“Tu chal mare saath.” He dragged Raavi while she unwillingly followed him.

“Yeh sab kya ho raha hai? Huh?” Suman asked when they reached her room.

“Maa, tujse baat karni thi.” Shiva spoke. Raavi snapped her eyes to him in shock. She did not like making a scene and here they were, about to create a new one in front of her mother-in-law.

“Kya hua? Kahi tum dono ko phirse divorce ka booth nahi chada na? Mere paas abhi Dishu ka number….”

“Woh delete kar de.” Shiva cut her off. “Maa, main sirf tuje yeh samjane ayia hoon ki Raavi ko maaf karde.”

“Iss ne meri complain ki?” Suman then turned to Raavi. “Ae markunidi guy! Tune meri shikayat ki?”

“Kaki, maine…” Raavi’s voice was meek and her tears returned.

“Nahi maa.” Shiva interrupted once again. “Issne muje kuch nahi kaha. Par maa, kitna sunaigi ab isse? Aur usse kya hoga? Muje pata hai ke divorce ke same hum dono pe kitna dard guzra hai. Aap kyun aur badha rahi ho?”

“Ae peticoat chaap. Aa gaya apni biwi ki wakalat karne.”

“Haan kyuki yeh mera farz hai jo main nahi nibha raha tha. Raavi ne pele din se yeh nibhaya. Ussne kahbi Mami ko mere bare main boora bhala kehna nahi diya. Yeh turand Mami ko suna deti thi. Jab divorce ki baat ayie tab bhi issne Mami ko humare pure parivar ke bare main kuch nahi bole diya. Arre woh kangan wale kaand main bhi mera saath diya jab maine iska haath chod diya tha. Uske doston ke samne muje har baar acha dikhaya, Krish na bataya muje. Aab mera farz banta hai ki mere parivar wale bhi Raavi ke saath izzat se pesh aye.” Shiva was stern in his speech. Raavi was left speechless, seeing Shiva come to his defence.

“Aur sab ke samne tuje thappad mara uska kya? Tab teri izzat ka khyal ayya?” Suman questioned.

“Woh iss liye kyuki maine sab ke samne iss pe sawal uthaya. Aap gussa muj pe ho par app kar nahi sakti issliye is pe utar rahe ho. Aap ko pata hai ki koi aur hota iss ki jage toh woh bhi asie ki karta. Aur karna bhi chaye. Raavi ne kabhi nahi kaha ki woh muje choodna chati hai. Yeh baat maine kisse aur se sun kar maanli. Agar tuje uss baat ke liya tane mar ne hai to hum dono ko maar.” Shive reasoned.

“Dekho, aab yeh muje sikha raha hai.” Suman taunted. It would be difficult to convince her.

“Nahi maa, maine to aap ne jo sikhaya tha woh karne ki koshish kar raha hoon. Tune hi toh kaha tha ki kisi bhi rishte main izzat honi chaye. Main yahi koshish kar raha hoon ki main Raavi ki izzat karu. Aur aap ka bhi to saas bahu ka rishta hai. Muje pata hai ke yeh aapki bohot izzat karti hai. Isshi liye inta sun ti ayie hai, mami ke khilaf aur khud ke khilaf bhi. Main nahi chatha ki jo galti hum dono ne ki woh aap doravo. Kyuki main Raavi ko nahi kho sakta. Humari khushi ek dusre main hai aur yeh pariwar main hai. Aap naraz hogi to Raavi kush nahi reh paigi. Agar woh kush nahi to main nahi.” Raavi’s eye did not leave Shiva once during all of this. She was awestruck by his actions. Dev could never stand up for her this way.

Suman nodded before turning her wheelchair around. She opened her cupboard, took something out and turned her wheelchair back around.

“Raavi beta, yeh le. Tere izzat lauta rahi hoon.” She said, still a sternness in her voice. Raavi moved forward, curiosity building up. Suman placed her mangalsutra back in her hand and Raavi was thrilled.

“Thank you, kaki.” she squealed. Raavi touched her feet and then pulled Suman into a hug. Shiva stood there, looking at them with a soft smile. He finally had everything he ever wanted.

When Raavi and Shiva returned back to their room, Shiva took the mangalsutra from her hand. He made her face the mirror and tied the necklace around her neck. Giving her a gentle kiss on the shoulder he took a small step back. Raavi spun around and jumped in his arms. They were going to be happy now.
