Folks, I would humbly request everyone to refrain from putting such derogatory names, which are racist slurs.
These are against IF rules. These are fictional characters, and the actors behind these characters are real people.
Once upon a time, I used to enjoy coming to the EDT. Would troll heartily and laugh at the insanity. Enjoy discussions. Now, it isn't very comfortable to even write anything.
We have overcome a global pandemic; people have died, many homes lost. The least we could do is respect each other and the people around us. Humans are important, people are important. A young actor died of heart attack and what was left of a fandom who rampaged everyone online when he was alive.
Online hatred takes a toll on people. Let's not do this to anyone.?
It's just a freaking TV show at the end of the day, and the actors, writers and everyone are real people.
I am pained to write this, but I feel so uncomfortable in this EDT which was once a haven for discussions.
With a heavy heart, once and for all, I said what I had to say.
Most of the people who enjoyed discussions dread coming to the EDT too. I barely feel like coming here anymore.
I always took pride in our cumulative efforts, love and empathy.
We owe each other kindness, despite our dislike for the show. I hope no one takes offence and we do better by each other and to humanity as a whole.
