I think there's always a moment in life when we are taken for granted, and the realisation of that is an extremely painful and unforgettable memory. It's one of those scratches that people always expect to fade away, but somehow end up marking you forever....

Raavi's heart constricted seeing Shiva crying in her lap!

"I am sorry Raavi.. please please mujhe maaf karde!" He said!

She couldn't see him like this; no matter how angry she was, she just couldn't see him so broken. She couldn't help herself as she took one of her hands back and ran her fingers through his hair. She nudged him to look up and gently caressed his face when he did. She looked at his guilt-ridden and pain-filled eyes and her heart leapt out of her chest. She wiped his tears and he took her hand and kissed it.

"Raavi please mujhe maaf karde! Mein jaanta hu ke maine tere saath bohot bohot bura kiya hai! Tujhe sare-aam zalil kiya, tujhe itana rulaaya; kabhi tujhe apni patni ka darja nahi diya. Tune sahi kaha tha meri insecurities ke baare mein; mein hu insecure. Ek taraf mera dil teri taraf khicha chala ja raha tha aur dusri taraf mera dimaag keh raha tha ke mein tere laayak nahi hu! Tu itani acchi hai, mann ki itani saaf hai aur mein, ek jaahi-gawaar jo kisi se dhang se baat bhi nahi karta! Teri zindagi mein koi aisa hona chahiye jo tujhe palakon pe beetha ke rakhe, tera har sapna pura kare! Jiske saath tu khush reh sake!" he said and chokingly added, "Woh khushiya tujhe mere saath kabhi nahi milegi kyun ki.."

"Kyun ki maine apni diary mein tere baare mein galat galat likha tha! Aur mere doston ne bhi teri bohot insult ki!" Raavi said cutting him off!

Raavi was surprised hearing him say this out loud! And it broke her already broken heart into million more pieces! She hated herself for making him feel so small! Shiva looked away! She cupped his face and made him look at her. She wiped the water off his face with her odhani and said, "Tu aisa hai jaisa meine apni diary mein likha tha ya jaisa mere doston ne bola tha? Haan?"

Raavi was looking deep into his eyes and asked, "Tujhe toh kabhi log kya kehte hai uss se faraq nahi padta tha! Toh ab kya ho gaya? Waise toh har baat mein mujhse ladta hai tu toh apne liye kyun nahi lada? Kyun nahi kaha mujhse ke mein galat hu?"

Shiva looked down and said, "Kyun ki tu galat nahi thi!"

Raavi's anger returned! She let go of him and asked, "Kyun? Kya buraai hai tujh mein? Tu accha insaan nahi hai? Tu kisi ki care nahi karta? Khudgarz hai? Irresponsible hai?"

Shiva was surprised with the line of questioning and didn't know what to say! He looked at a girl he had wronged and didn't know why she was defending him!

"Bol na?" Raavi asked!

Seeing him speechless, Raavi chuckled sarcastically! Shiva was confused and that fanned her anger more as she got up and said, "Dhara Di ne kaha tha ke agar chaaro bhaiyon ko ek line mein khada karenge na toh sabse zyaada chamak ke aage tu hi aayega! Par tu kaise aage aayega? Tujhe peeche rehne ki itani aadat jo padh gayi hai!"

Shiva's anger returned, too, as he got up and said, "Mujhe kisi se aage aane ki zaroorat bhi nahi hai. Mein jaha hu waha theek hu!"

"Tu aa bhi nahi sakta kyun ki aage aane ke liye khud pe bharosa karna padta hai." Raavi rebuked!

Shiva was perplexed hearing this. Just a second ago she was caring for him and now she was talking to him so rudely!

Raavi saw his face clouded with anger and said, "Bura lag raha hai? Gussa aa raha hai?"

Shiva looked away trying hard to control his anger but Raavi wasn't going to let it drop. She was tired of this endless cycle of pain and anger and she wanted to finish this once and for all! She went in front of him and asked, "Kya hua? Itana gussa kyun aa raha hai tujhe? Kuch galat kaha maine? Tu kamzor hai! Tujhe khud pe ya apni kaabilyat pe zara sa bhi bharosa nahi hai! Aur ..."

Before she could finish, Shiva grabbed her and asked, "Aur kya? Haan? Tu jaanti kya hai mere baare mein?" He let her go! The agony in his heart returned as he said, "Sach toh yeh hai k teri nazron mein meri koi keemat hi nahi hai!"

"Mujhe kaise pata hogi teri keemat jab tujhe khud apni value nahi pata?" Raavi replied coolly.

Shiva was dejected! He couldn't take this anymore because he didn't know how he would react if Raavi continued her onslaught. He didn't want to hurt her anymore. He wanted to see her happy & smiling. If he had to take himself out of the equation for that to happen, he told himself, so be it! So he turned around and started to leave!

"Ja chala ja!" Raavi said from behind. "Yeh hi aata na hai na tujhe? Zara si mushkil aai nahi ke tu sab chhod deta hai; muh mod ke chala jaata hai!"

Shiva was exhausted now as he turned around and asked, "Tu chahti kya hai mujhse?"

"Ladd apne liye!" Raavi said surprising Shiva! "Bharosa kar apne aap pe ke tu jaisa hai waise hi bohot accha hai. Khud ko dusro ki nazar se dekhna bandh kar."

Raavi was aware of his heartache. His pain was killing her, too, but she needed to end the matter right then and there. She wanted to be happy but she wanted his happiness more. She wanted him to see his worth and be proud of himself. She didn't want him to hide behind the boxes he carried at the store; she wanted him to face the world with pride and she wanted to be right next to him on his journey.

She walked up to him and took his hands in hers. She held his gaze and said, "Mein chahti hu ke tu ladd mere liye, humaare rishte ke liye!"

Shiva's heart fluttered with hope again but the self-doubt hadn't gone away so he said, "Mein tere laayak nahi hu Raavi! Bohot se kamiyaan hai mujh mein!"

Raavi's heart flooded with love for him! She closed the distance and caressed his face. She rested her forehead on his and said, "Yeh hi toh nibhaana hai! Kuch kamiyaan tujh mein hai, kuch kamiyan mujh mein hai! Kuch tu puri karna, kuch mein puri karungi! Zindagi ka yeh safar yun hi aadha aadha baant lenge! Hum dono mein se koi perfect nahi hai Shiva par hum ek-dusre ke liye perfect ban sakte hai agar tu mera saath de toh!"

As happy as he was, he couldn't believe that his happily ever after was just one step away and asked, "Sach?"

Raavi looked into his hopeful yet worried eyes and kissed his forehead and replied, "Sach! Lekin ... "

Shiva knew it couldn't be this easy and asked, "Lekin kya?"

"Lekin iss baar tujhe bhi mere liye ladna hoga! Mera saath dena hoga!" Raavi replied adamantly and added, "Agar iss baar tune mera saath chod diya, toh mein wapis nahi aaungi! Yeh shaadi hum dono ki hai, isse nibhaane ki responsibility bhi hum dono ki hogi. Iss baar mein akele nahi ladnewaali Shiva! Mein tujhse bohot pyaar karti hu par mera pyaar meri self-respect se badhkar nahi hai!"

Shiva understood her fear!. He had promised her once that he would never leave her and that's exactly what he had done at the first sign of trouble. After the way he humiliated Raavi, she was giving him, them, one more chance and he wasn't going to screw this up. He cupped her face and kissed her forehead. He looked deep into her eyes and said, "Mein tujhse wada karta hu Raavi ke iss baar mein tera pyaar aur tera bharosa kamaaunga! Jeetna dukh diya hai na maine tujhe, uss se bhi kai zyaada khushiyon se teri zindagi bhar dunga! I love you Raavi!"

Raavi was happy hearing this when he hugged her! She hugged him back and felt peaceful. However, when her heart raced ahead of her and started dreaming about her happy married life, she stopped it! She was elated to know that she and Shiva were going to work on their marriage and she was going to do everything in her power to make sure that they succeeded but she reserved a part of her heart to herself. The young Raavi from the Haveli would have signed over herself to Shiva for his love in a heartbeat but the last few months had taught her a thing or two about self-respect and self-preservation. She loved Shiva with all her heart and was going to do anything for him but, this time, she was also going to protect her heart until she was absolutely sure that it couldn't be broken again!

Shiva was aware of her holding back her heart. He knew she didn't trust him; she shouldn't trust him after everything that happened. As much as he loved her, he didn't trust himself to do right by her either. But he was going to die trying! He resolved to do whatever it took to earn her trust and love! Raavi was the light that came through a crack in his heart and lit up his entire world and he was determined to keep that light alive forever!

The New Beginning!

Loved how gracefully she handled his insecurities his under confidence.And then the promise of working it together.

She truly handle the situation very well with love and not comprising on her self respect.❤️

Beautiful ending! ❤️Raavi finally did address his insecurities and inferiority complex. She did the right thing by preserving her heart to herself so she can be protected if in the future he abandons her again.
