I honestly don’t even know what I’ve written but the precap put this idea in my head and I desperately want the old nautanki Raavi back (the pyaara sa cute sa fracture one). So yeah. Here goes nothing!

||ShiVi OS Ruk Jao||

“Ruk jao!” Her voice echoed loud and clear and for a second, Shiva’s heart stopped. He withdrew his hand that he’d extended for the girl to put a ring on his finger. What was her name again? Shivani? Shivangi? Who knew! He turned his entire focus towards the girl storming into the venue with steely eyes.

“Raavi! Tu theek tho hai na? Achcha hua tu mil gayi. Kya hua tha? Krish ne kaha koi tujhe uthakar lekar gaya tha. Kya hua?” Dhara intercepted her path and pulled her into a hug. Raavi’s focus remained centered on Shiva though. She gently pulled away from Dhara and marched onto the dias.

Everybody held their breath, unsure of what would happen next.

Till Raavi burst into overly dramatic tears and hugged the girl. She wailed and sobbed loudly as she clung onto the girl.

“Aap.. aap kaun hain? Aap ro kyun rahi hain?” The girl patted Raavi’s back unsure.

“Ab main kya hi bathaoon, behen. Bas yeh samajh lo ki Somnathji ne bheja hai mujhe tumhe ek bahut galti se bachane ke liye,” Raavi overdramatically wiped her tears. God, play crying was hard.

“Matlab?” The girl’s mother asked, worried.

“Aunty ji!!! Aap tho ek maa hain. Bina Maa baap ki bachchi ka dard samjhengi,” Raavi pulled the older woman into a hug.

“Baath kya hai? Itna bada tamasha kyun laga rakha hai?” Suman asked.

“Yeh aap apne bete se poochiye Kaaki,” Raavi kept up her pretense. “Poochiye isse ki yeh kal raat ko mujhe mere bistar se uthakar Pandya Store ke storeroom mein kyun lekar gaya tha?”

Surprised gasps sounded throughout the venue. “Kya bakwaas kar rahi hai!” Suman exclaimed. “Aap ko meri baath par yakeen nahi hain na, tho isse poochiye. Batha Shiva.. tu kal raath ko mujhe apni baahon mein uthakar Pandya store ke storeroom nahi lekar gaya tha?” Raavi asked, making the most innocent face she could muster.

“Aye Chipkali! Kya bakwaas kar rahi hai?” He asked. “Uske sawaal ka jawab de Shiva. Kya tu usse raath ko uthakar le gaya tha ki nahi?” Gaumbi asked. Shiva swallowed nervously, “Haan..” Another round of shocked gasps rang through the crowd. “Pan main sirf baath..” he started to explain when Raavi interrupted him, “aur poochiye Gaumbi. Kya yeh raath bhar mere saath usi bandh store room mein nahi tha?”

What was this chudail doing? He’d only taken her there to talk to her in peace. To apologize to her for his past mistakes and request her to not come to the engagement. Because, even though he was Chattan Pandya, he wasn’t strong enough to go through with getting engaged to another girl while she watched. Surprisingly, she hadn’t argued, or gotten angry or let out her hurt. She’d listened to him calmly and simply asked him if they could stay there for the night. He hadn’t sensed it then but the Chipkali Chudail must’ve been cooking this khichdi in her head.

“Ab aap hi sochiye na, Aunty,” Raavi turned to the girl’s mother. “Main bichari nazuk si phoolkumari. Itna bada Chattan Pandya mujhe uthakar lekar jaayega tho main kar bhi kya sakthi hoon?” She batted her eyelashes innocently. “Aakhir hai tho mera pati na. Aur phir aap hi sochiye. Ek jawan ladka aur ladki, woh bhi shaadishuda, raath bhar, akele, duniya ki nazaron se duur..” she spoke with such conviction that for a moment, Shiva doubted himself on his memory of the night before. “Talaaq abhi hua nahi na.. tho hum.. bas.. bhaavano mein beh gaye..” she continued.

“Ab raath bhar mere saath bithakar yeh subah subah aapki beti se sagai karne chala aaya. Itne bade dhokebaaz se aap apni beti ki shaadi karvayengi?” Raavi asked, sniffling dramatically.

“Kya bakwaas kar rahi hai, Chipkali? Tu bhi jaanti hai, main bhi jaanta hoon hamare beech aisa kuch nahi hua!” Shiva growled, pulling her closer to him. “”Dekh Shiva! Tujhe jo kehna hai keh le.. par agar kal ko main pregnant ho gayi tho main kahaan jaoongi? Kya karoongi?” Raavi asked, without blinking an eyelid.

“Pregnant?” Dhara exclaimed. “Haan Dhara di! Kal hamare beech jo hua, kuch sochne samajhne ka waqt nahi tha aur na hi haalat. Ab agar Shiva doosri shaadi karegi aur main pregnant ho jaoongi tho kya karoongi main? Aap hi bathao!” Raavi said.

“Bass kar yeh nautanki, Raavi aur chali jaa yahan se,” Shiva said, grabbing her elbow to walk her out of the venue.

“Ek minute!” The girl’s father spoke up. “Yeh sab kya chal raha hai, Suman ben? Agar aapka beta apni biwi se pyaar kartha hai tho phir yeh talaaq aur doosri shaadi ka naatak kyun?”

“Yeh ladki jhoot bol rahi hai!” Suman said. “Mera Shiva kabhi aise kuch nahi kar saktha. Batha Shiva! Batha de sabko ki tu kal raath iske saath nahi tha. Batha de sabko ki tera isse koi lena dena nahi! Koi pyaar vyaar nahi kartha tu isse!”

Raavi turned to look at him, a strange sparkle of determination in her eyes. Dhara stepped forward, “Shiva,” she took his hand and placed it on her head, “khaa mere aur mere hone waale bachche ki kasam aur sach batha. Kya tu kal raat bhar Raavi ke saath tha?”

Shiva nodded his head in a yes.

“Kya tere dil mein Raavi ke liye pyaar hai?”

He sighed in defeat. He would never ever take a chance with his Bhabhi’s and her child’s life. No matter what.

He nodded his head again.

Shocked gasps resonated through the hall and Raavi’s face broke out into a smile. The girl pulled off the ring Shiva had just made her wear and tossed it away before the bride’s party left, fuming.

Suman scolded both Shiva and Raavi but was secretly happy that they’d gotten back together. The family finally made their way back home and everyone retired to their rooms to rest after the happenings of the day.

Raavi was putting her clothes back in the cupboard, humming a song under her breath when Shiva caught hold of her and turned her to him. “Dekh Shiva, Tu ne poore Somnath ke saamne Dhara di aur unke baby ki kasam khaayi hai ki tu mujhse pyaar kartha hai. Ab tu kuch bhi bole, gussa kare, mujhe koi farak nahi padtha. Yeh baath tu apne dimaag mein bitha le ki main kahin nahin jaane waali. Zindagi bhar tere sar pe khade hokar naachungi. Kyunki aisa main chahthi hoon,” she said in one go.

Shiva threw his head back and laughed and Raavi’s heart skipped a beat. “Main tho tujhse sirf yeh poochne aaya tha ki itni gandi acting kahan si seekhi tu ne? Teri acting tho uss Maami se bhi gandi hai!” “Haaaawwww.. tu mera mazak uda raha hai. Aur main koi acting nahi kar rahi thi!” She denied promptly.

“Achcha? Acting nahi kar rahi thi?” He asked moving in closer till his breath caressed her face. “Tho batha na.. exactly hamare beech kal raath ko kya hua tha? Woh kya kaha tha tu ne unn logon se?” He sniffed her hair before nuzzling her neck. “Ek jawaan ladka aur ladki.. woh bhi shaadishuda.. ek bandh kamre mein.. akele..” he placed light kisses along her collarbone and the column of her throat. “Shiva..” she breathed.

“Batha na.. aisa kya hua tha hamare beech?” He asked, eyes twinkling in mischief. Raavi found herself suddenly tongue-tied. “Aur kya kaha tha? Arey Haan.. agar tu pregnant ho gayi tho?” His fingers danced over her waist teasingly. “Woh.. main.. main..” she knew very well what her words insinuated but having him say them back to her made butterflies dance in her belly.

He scooped her up in his arms in one swift motion. “Kya kar raha hai, Shiva?” She asked. “Soch raha hoon tere jhoot ko sach kar doon. Taaki agli baar tujhe itni gandi overacting na karni pade!” He said, grinning, carrying her to the bed. “Agli baar? Matlab tu phir kisi aur..” Her words were cut off mid sentence as his lips covered hers. If he let her talk, there would be no end to it and he wanted to show her how much he loved her. And how he cherished her. The one unique draamebaaz piece that she was. Just for him. And thank goodness for his over-the-top nautanki Chipkali! He wouldn’t have it any other way. Not in this life.. not ever..

Knowing the writers of PS well, they have included comedy in several tracks, this could very well happen. Even if it didn't in the show, I thoroughly enjoyed this OS and Raavi back to her 1.0 version has to stop the wedding. There is no other choice as she is full on nautanki😆
