The episode was alright. I didn't feel anything for the ShiVi sindoor scene. Maybe because Shiva threw the potli and then kicked it on her door like a soccer ball. A potli which had sindoor and jewlery that Raavi was willing to pawn for the bedroom. I wish instead he had a fb of her wanting to pawn the jewelry and he just left it at her door and knocked on her door. But this felt so insulting.
Can't believe I am saying this, but DevTa scene was my favorite. Rishita brought up financial security again and this time, for once, instead of being miffed with Dev, she applied for job applications and has interview set up for the next day. Hopefully, Ma and BhabhiMa won't make a mountain put of it with their regressive thinking.
Skipped the mature couple as I have no desire to see them anymore.
Raavi's also trying to apply for Masters instead of moping around and wants to stand on her own two feet. Progressive new DIL's suman has. Glad makers are at least listening to that aspect. Hopefully, the boys will learn to be independent now as well!
ShiVi are starting to become my least favorite couple on screen ... agree with you, did not like how Shiva kicked the potli like a football... it was such blatant disrespect... he says he is falling in love with her and then he does things like this... another way of the CVs proving their lackluster writing. Showing > Telling. It doesn't matter to me if Shiva says filmy dialogues of love during separation if there is nothing to back up his "love" post separation. I don't know why Raavi would want such a man after this...
I liked the DevTa scene! Her talks about financial security before having a baby really resonated with me... why have a baby when you can't afford it? It's something that I think a lot of the younger generation will connect with! Even I want to postpone having a baby until my mid 30s as that is when I will most likely be financially secure. I also liked how Dev supported Rishita's decision... sometimes it's great to have at least one family member be on your side. Considering how the family didn't take the counselor matter seriously, it's normal for Rishita to have these concerns. Hope Dev stands up for her when the discussions come up in the family as that would make him a great husband! The only qualms I have about DevTa is I wish Dev did more as a husband than just be "supportive" and Rishita was more of a morally gray character as I liked her during the initial haveli days (she was wrong/right, made you think)
I did not like how Gaumbi and Dhara spent their time discussing ShiVi... however, I liked the rest of the scene. I stopped seeing them as the GauRa that emotionally couldn't connect with ShiVi... and just saw them as new parents. It was a cute scene. I liked Dhara looking at the photos, I liked how Gaumbi spoke to the baby (agree with the family being crazy... don't agree with the family being very loving.. but that's my opinion). After writing that story of ShiVi being parents... these scene was cute and heartwarming when you just forgot everything that happened before.
I hope they continue with Raavi trying to pursue education. I know marriage might make pursuing education difficult, but I think it would be a positive track to show. Shiva could support her education right now, and this could pave the path of Raavi supporting Shiva's education later, or at the same time. I hope they don't abandon this idea for any reason.
Precap: I knew it 😆 What's a pregnancy without complications on ITV?
