At losses absolutely. My Nani passed away in Jan from other illness, and my Nana perfectly healthy, but died because of CoVId within a week in hospital. We couldn't even be by his side and heard he kept crying to be with us. My mom was devastated she didn't get to see either of her parents because of COVid without even stepping out of the house. She usually visits them once a year. On between my dadaji who lives with us died of other illness as I was feeding him and my spoon was in his mouth. My mama and Mami got covid right after my nana passed away. First my mam had to be in hospital, but as he was recovering and coming back home, my Mamis health deteriorated and was admitted in hospital and died within a week from lung collapse. My mam lost both of his parents and wife and his only son lives in CA. My mom's so devestated that she couldn't meet 3/4 people and my mamas all alone and she can't be there with him.
And on top of the losses, the helplessness and guilt in my mom's eyes of not being there physically for her family, it's eating her alive.
ML, this is heartbreaking. I wish you and your family a lot of strength in this difficult situation š
