You should totally continue on some of these scenes and turn it into an OS. Because I wanted more.

Apologies

Shiva and Raavi get into a huge argument that causes them stop talking to one another for 24 hours. They reflect and immediately become apologetic. Their hearts tell them to apologize immediately while their egos tell them not to forgive so easily. Both of them engage into multiple small apologetic gestures (writing small notes such as "You look nice today," Shiva making Raavi tea as they quietly sit together with smiles on their faces, Raavi coming to the store and helping Shiva out as best she could while they share eye locks and Shiva smiles at her with appreciation). By the end of the day, both of them are itching to speak to each other again and both of them write a letter of apology each other, hoping the letter would get each of their points across even if they can't speak it out loud. They both read their letters and laugh, hugging each other and promising to never fight so seriously about something so trivial.

Becoming a Father

Shiva was extremely excited to become a father; however, when he holds his baby girl Raashi (feel free to change the name) for the first time, he becomes scared and wonders why he didn't have the instant connection to his daughter like everyone told him he would. He distances himself as he doubts his abilities (she cries whenever he is near). Raavi recognizes this and goes to Gaumbi for help. Gaumbi and Dev, both of whom are fathers, explain what being a father means to them. They tell Shiva it is alright to be scared, and they share personal stories of all the times they struggled. Shiva takes their advice at heart and tries to connect with his baby again, this time allowing Raavi to be by his side. He slowly falls in love with his daughter as he spends more time with her, and he finds that he can open up in a way he never has in the past, showing his silly, goofy side only to her! (This prompt was inspired by a dad who was frustrated he didn't "adequately" love his daughter like what was shown in the movies. He was sleep deprived, felt restricted, and felt as though his daughter didn't love him. Six months later, he brought his child for a well-check up and you could see the love in his eyes!)

Cooking Khichidi

Raavi falls sick, and Shiva tries to nurse her back to health. When he realizes she is hungry, he goes to the kitchen, however, is displeased when he is unable to find anything there. Because it is too late at night to wake up Dhara or buy something from outside, he decides to cook khichidi himself. He doesn't know anything about cooking and makes a ruckus which Rishita wakes up to. Rishita is amused and decides to offer her services. Shiva, not knowing how badly Rishita cooks, takes her advice and tries to cook khichidi but it tastes horribly and Shiva and Rishita blame each other. Raavi is awakened and dismayed when she is unable to see Shiva at her side, so she leaves the room and becomes amused when she sees Shiva and Rishita arguing while whispering all at the same time. Raavi sees the khichidi and immediately hugs both of them for taking the initiative to do something so sweet, and she tells them she is willing to help. Shiva and Rishita follow her commands (as both of them refuse to let Raavi lift a finger) and they successfully make khichidi.

I had to dig deep for this one! But thought people would enjoy regardless 😆. Will include the gifs that inspired it all! Link to the original post in EDT#41. Thanks again Ashu for the wonderful gifs!

Raavi twirled with happiness. Today was her day. Her birthday! Everything was perfect. The music. The cake. The gifts. The people. Even the—

Image

She collided into a warm body. Though she couldn't discern who it was in the darkness, she was enveloped in a warm, comforting mixture of spices. A sense of calmness and peace filled with her soul as the lights turned on. There he was. Her husband.

His strong hands held her at the waist. She gazed up at him with a innocent smile. Though he swallowed with nervousness, she saw the smallest hint of a smile in him. Something a lay person would be unable to catch, but because she knew him over the years, she was able to sense his every micro-expression.

His fingers slowly trailed down her arm as butterflies filled her stomach. This was the first time. The first time he didn't flinch and look away and she didn't frown and turn away. They both held eye contact, as if they were daring each other with a staring contest.

Image

Once she felt his fingers at her hands, his smile became that much more apparent. He gently interlocked their fingers while his warm, brown eyes continued to watchfully protect her. He brought her arm up and she couldn't help but wonder if he was doing what she truly thought he was doing.

A-Are you serious? Slow dancing?

He nodded his head gently and her eyes widened with happiness. He twirled her once and pulled her close to him. Being this close to him caused her to remember of all the times he pulled her close after hurting her. Of all the times he gave her lollipops and band-aids as consolation prizes. She glanced up at him shyly, looking at her handsome bhoothnath.

Image

It was quite strange. All these days, she thought of him to be of a pagal unkempt, junglee. But today, despite wearing the same clothes, despite smelling the same way, he was handsome like her favorite hero Ranveer Singh.

Image

What other secrets do you have? She thought as she gazed into his eyes.

His lips curled upwards. Well why don't you find out. He spun her away and began to dance in his favorite dance moves.

Okay I had this idea when we all felt Raavi's outfits were not as good as Rishita specifically that pink orange sari( I did not like it much first but it grew on me as days progressed smiley37)

So i had thought when Raavi plans to wear that saree, Rishita tells her to not mind but it is too old fashioned. Dhara looks at it and tells Raavi it is good but why don't you wear that blue one. It looks so good on you. Raavi's face fell a bit but she agrees. She goes to her room. She knew it was old fashioned but it is her mother's . She wanted to wear it at least one of her marriage rituals. But she does not want to look out of place in front of both her sisters in law. Shiva enters the room to find her deep in thought and thanks god that she is quiet for some time at least. But he finds her in the same position when he comes after freshens up. He goes to her - ay bol itna kya soch rahi hai . And Raavi though initially reluctant finally opens up to him thinking shiva would also make fun of her for being so attached to an old saree. However she was pleasantly surprised that he listens to her attentively. And he would make her understand that she can wear whatever she wants and his bhabis did not know what it meant to her

Here is something I want to see-

Shiva finally gives Raavi divorce papers to free her from this marriage . Raavi is heartbroken but throws away the papers and tells him if he does not want her in his life then she will leave him now and this time she will not come back to him even if he wants her back. She leaves the house and walks aimlessly on the road and has an accident. Shiva is also crying in his room . He opens the wardrobe and cries holding her clothes. Then suddenly he finds her diary and reads it. He is shocked to read it because Raavi has written about how she has fallen in love with him and wants to spend her life with him . He feels guilty and about to go to bring her back when Krish comes to him and tells him that about Raavi's accident. He runs and finds unconsious Raavi lying on the road in a pool of blood. He immediately goes near her and starts crying holding her. He is scared thinking of her words where she said this time she will not come back to him. He keeps pleading her to open her eyes.

Too dramatic I know😆 but after khandar kaand I again want to see that fear of losing Raavi in Shiva's eyes. I love such scenes.

Context: In the OG, Mullai pawns her ring to buy Kathir a present as she wanted to buy Kathir a present with her own money. Dhanam (Dhara) misunderstands and this leads the entire family to chastise her for pawning off the ring without telling anyone. Eventually Kathir clarifies what took place.

Assuming the makers decide to show the same scene in the OG, this could be a great follow up scene that follow's Piu's idea of having Raavi work! Find the original post here in ShiVi AU DT#6

Making Money from a Hobby

Shiva realizes the gravity of Raavi not having any money to herself, something he'd never considered before. He tries to come up with ways where she could earn money. Whether it is requesting Gaumbi to pay Raavi a small salary or letting her control their finances instead of Dhara. He broaches the topic, and she refuses as she really loves the Pandya family and doesn't carry about money. Though their conversation ends, he continues to think about it, wanting her to be independent just so she could buy what she wanted without having to ask him or Dhara for money.

After coming back from a late day at work, he notices Raavi tinkering around with a few materials. When he asks her what she is doing, she tells him she is making DIY earrings as it is a childhood hobby of hers. She tells him how her hobby began and even shows him a few designs she sketched out. Making earrings was a special passion of hers since she couldn't buy the earrings she wanted when she was a child. Shiva becomes emotional thinking back to her childhood as she would always make it an effort to show off her beauty. He didn't understand her then, but now, after seeing her earrings, he realizes she just wanted to show off her DIY projects. After she goes to sleep, he slowly looks at all the earrings she's made since coming to the Pandya house, and he immediately gets an idea.

The following day, Shiva brings Raavi and the box to the store and asks her whether she would be interested in selling her earrings. She looks at the earrings and is unsure, believing no one would buy it, but Shiva tells her otherwise. As she sits and manages the money, Shiva promotes Raavi's earrings to every person that walks by. He manages to win a few sales, and afterwards, he tells Raavi that the money is for her to keep. Again, she is uncomfortable keeping the money, wanting instead to give it to Dhara to manage. Seeing this, Shiva puts the money into her hands and demands a 5% commission since he worked so hard for the sales to happen. He also tells her she won't be able to pay him if she gives all her money to Dhara, so Raavi shyly agrees to keep the money herself. She gives him an additional 5% commission telling him he deserves a tip for all his hard work, and they share a smile.

Making it Official

Shiva wants Raavi to learn how to do business, so he speaks to Gaumbi about drafting a contract. Raavi would need to pay commission to Pandya Store as she uses the space to sell her earrings. Gaumbi tells Shiva none of that is necessary; however, Shiva tells him he really wants Raavi to learn in the same way he did when he first started working at Pandya Store. Seeing this, Gaumbi agrees and prepares a contract that Raavi could sign.

Raavi stares at the contract, slightly frightened. She never thought her earrings were special, so this all scares her. She turns to Shiva, and Shiva gently tells her to read over the contract. Nodding her head, she reads over everything and agrees. Just as she is about to sign it, Shiva stops her and asks her if it really is okay. She is confused, and Shiva points out the line where she would need to pay Pandya Store a 30% commission, and asked her if that was alright with her. She nods her head, but Shiva tells her she should negotiate. Gaumbi looks over at both of them, amused and happy.

Understanding where he was coming from, Raavi negotiates with Gaumbi (who is tough at Shiva's request), and they finally settle on a 15% commission. She finally signs the contract and shakes hands with Gaumbi, making it official. As Shiva and Raavi walk back home, Raavi is immensely happy as this is the first business contract she ever took part in, and Shiva tells her that she needs to prepare better in the future as she will be spending a lot more time signing contracts.

Turning the Hobby into a Business

A few weeks pass by and Raavi is making a decent amount of sales. She's unable to keep up with the orders, but this motivates her to make more earrings as she sees the happiness in everyone's faces when they wear them. Shiva suggests she turn her hobby into an official business— hiring people to work for her and help her with her designs. She doesn't know if she can manage a business all by herself, but Shiva promises to be by her side as long as she continues to give him the 10% commission. She smiles and suddenly feels happy as this is the first major decision Shiva and her are taking.

Each night, before they go to sleep, they discuss about what they should do. If they should buy an empty space and set it up as a workshop, how they should hire workers, how many workers they need to hire, whether they should promote the business online. It takes them a few weeks, but they eventually have a plan (all within this duration, ShiVi could have scenes where they visit office spaces, advertisement companies, etc.). Eventually, Raavi is set to open up her new jewelry shop.

Shiva tells her that he can take care of naming the business as well as preparing the opening party. Raavi agrees and becomes excited as Shiva is surprising her. She tries to snoop and find out what he's planning, but he is very secretive. Eventually, opening day comes and Raavi realizes Shiva's named the shop, 'Raashi Jewelers' the 'Raa' coming from Raavi and the 'Shi' coming from Shiva. When she sees all her designs on the shelves, she becomes very emotional and finally understands why Shiva worked so hard in turning her hobby into a reality.

Another scene I want to see-

Shiva tells Dhara that he respects her for whatever she has done for them till now but her decision of getting Raavi married to him has ruined Raavi's life . Also I want Shiva to support Raavi over Dhara in future just like Gautam supports Dhara in front of Suman without disrespecting his mother

July 19th, 2021:

After finding out about Dhara’s sacrifice, Dev and Shiva return to their respective rooms guilty and heartbroken. They are determined to build the room for Dhara. However, they can’t help but feel the weight of the truth they just discovered.

Rishita walks in and is about to complain about Suman when she notices Dev sitting there silently. Concerned, she cups his cheeks and asks him to look at her. Seeing his tear filled eyes, Rishita pulls Dev in for a hug. We see her comforting him as he breaks down telling her about Dhara’s sacrifice. At first, Rishita can’t make sense of it. Why would Dhara take such a decision? She tells Dev he has no reason to be guilty as he was just a child. Dhara was an adult and it’s her decisions. Dev gets upset and tells Rishita that she just doesn’t understand what he’s going through. She sighs and decided to put aside her judgement. She holds Dev’s hand and tells him that she loves him and doesn’t want to see him so dejected. Whatever he has in mind, she will support him. We see Dev lay his head on Rishita’s lap while she caressed his head lovingly. Outside, we see GauRa touching foreheads while holding each other’s hand.

Shiva walks into his room and quickly wipes his tears before Raavi can see him. But the heaviness in his heart is far from gone. Raavi is still angry at him and upon seeing him enter the room, gives him a cold shoulder. Her behavior further exhausts Shiva who silently lays down on his side of the bed. Raavi is shocked to see Shiva like this. She thinks back to their conversation at the store. Tears fall down her cheeks as she tells herself that she can barely recognize Shiva. Does he dislike her so much? Is he behaving like this because of her? She feels a surge of anger at him being so silent and ignoring her. Trying to start one of their usual banters, she begins to provoke Shiva, who initially stays quiet but then becomes angry. He gets up and tells her to not fight with him today. He simply doesn’t have the energy to battle with her. Raavi notices the dry streaks on his cheeks and becomes worried. She asks him what happened but he looks away. Raavi crosses over to his side of the bed and sits next to him. After a prolonged period of silence, Shiva talks about the first time he met Dhara. Or at least the first memory he has of her. When his voice begins to crack, Raavi reaches out to hold his hand. Shiva stills, shocked at her action but quickly realizes how much he needed her to do that. He doesn’t pull away and closes his eyes, soaking in her touch. He talks about Dhara’s sacrifice and about what he overhead earlier. Raavi begins to cry as she realizes what Dhara has done and is touched by the actions of her role model. Shiva looks at her and awkwardly reaches out with his free hand to wipe her tears. Raavi gives him a curious look and he moves his hand away, the feeling of Raavi not wanting him returning. Raavi looks at his retreating hand and is upset at this sudden distance. The two look down and realize they are still holding each other’s hand. Neither wants to be the first one to let go. After a few seconds, Shiva ends up pulling away first and tells Raavi to go to sleep. Raavi decides to not argue with him and goes to her side. Just before closing her eyes, she assures Shiva that everything will be okay. They will stand by GauRa and Dhara will get the chance to an amazing mom to her own child. Shiva smiles slightly while a few tears escape his eyes. He wonders how it’s possible for someone as loving and caring as Raavi to have so much dislike for him. While Raavi wonders what she has done wrong that has caused Shiva to move so far away.

Raavi realizes that shiva is distancing himself from her. And in her abandonment issues, she tries to cling more. She becomes over enthusiastic in the store trying to learn everything not just sitting at the counter. She tries to help him out at every step. In the process, she again makes certain mistakes( sensible ones- I have no idea what) and Shiva scolds her for those like today . However Shiva does not tell her that he is quite proud of all that she has learnt in this short amount of time. Raavi is privy to the scoldings only not the appreciation ( that could have been shown by Shiva speaking to Dhara or Gaumbi).

Raavi meets Maami and she starts insulting Shiva. Raavi puts her foot down telling her to stop all this maybe harshly this time. Maami in a fit of rage lashes out at Raavi saying of course she would choose shiva over her- children these days .

All of it starts taking a toll on Raavi and finally she has a breakdown preferably alone . She breaks down not from sorrow but frustration and helplessness. Despite her best efforts, she is unable to handle either of her home. She does not know where she stands with Shiva . She knows her maasi is wrong but stills feels bad for hurting her. She is trying her best to help out at the shop but instead is just making mistake after mistake. Where is she going?

She has just tired herself crying and sitting in her room. Shiva comes back . He notices she is more silent than usual. On coming closer se knows that she has been crying. He asks her what happened- if anybody hurt her. Hearing the urgent concern in his voice Raavi hugs him tightly. Shiva hugs her back at the moment but is even more agitated about her. Raavi realizes that she is not alone. Her situation requires efforts but she can do it . She pulls back smiles at time and says everything would be alright now. Don't worry.
