Dev and Rishita scene was something I actually liked. It felt good to see him soft to her. He comes in darte darte. Understandable because a wife can be scary when she wants to be. The husbands know when to be on the softer side. He had taken the control of them in the party because that was where he was supposed to handle it. Now that the storm has passed Rishita is in control and he is trying to calm her down. She doesn't see this whole thing clearly yet. She is stuck in your fam and my fam but she doesn't understand that where they r concerned first and foremost its about them as a unit. When she understands that Dev is pulling her in his world and making her a part of his unit, she will handle it all better. Like every hubby he tries to soften her up, first by words, praises and all and then he presents the gift of her fav color (thank god that two years mein at least he knows her fav color). She is in too much hurt and anger to see his efforts. So that doesn't work either.

The last effort which usually works all the time is trying to understand her and softly explaining ua point to her. And dev does that. He apologises and tries to tell her that this would have been an insult to his self esteem. And she is a little understanding to that point. Shows that she can see why he kinda did it. Her face has got that ‘I know u r right but...’ look. She gets upset again when he brings the materialistic aspect up. True that she has been brought up in luxury and even now she still tries to live like that at times but she is right that if she had wanted riches she wouldn’t have left her luxury world behind for this man. The whole point is about her mom. she yearns for her. Her mom did love her and still do we can see. And where mothers are concerned no principles or values holds any weight for a child. Rishita is the same.

But her point about Dev differentiating between fams and her hating him for it is beseless. Dev is a soft hearted man. He would have loved her fm had they not been so villainous in their lives. His fam have basically loved them both and hers have done nothing but harm so how do he treat them equally? And despite her declarations of hatred, Dev pulls her nearer and hugs her to himself and gives her comfort. This is why Rishita loves him. He loves her and he sees through her grief. This is the reason she has left her world behind for this man. He tried to reassure her that soon her mother will be with her again. After all how long can a mother be mad at her child?

I also liked their scene a lot.

Keeping aside Akshay's acting (I personally don't have too much problem with that too) I like how the writers are dealing with Devta relationship too. He took a stern stand where it was needed and was soft when required. And she too is behaving in her character, she's right that she's not a gold digger. It is difficult for a person to change her lifestyle all of a sudden and I think she is going through the same difficulty.. it will take time for her to adjust to pandya lifestyle as she's been brought up in a totally different environment being an only child. It's wrong to think that she's just after materialistic things.
