Frankly I love reading your posts but was hesitant to ready today's with the name dev in it . However did love the way you captured the entire details .

No doubt Dev and Raavi have been friends since childhood but what he did was just so wrong on so many levels . Loved the way you analysed it but I get the take written in comments by ValleyofPeace . Dev has broken her trust in worst way possible and it cannot be replaced , she will forgive him because he was a childhood friend maybe or it could be because he is a part of her favourite pandya family or because he's Shiva's brother . Either way it doesn't feel like it was for dev entirely . We can see Shiva's pain when he sees them talking . It just cannot be easy to be married to someone who loves someone else ( that's what he thinks) . Jhalla Shiva and Jhalli Raavi paagal hai khud nahi jaante how much they mean to each other . The episode with Shiva finding the gift for dev on the day of the wedding showed how much it affected him.I wish and so wish someone had showed or told Shiva that she had started tearing up those exact gifts the very next day of the marriage before the whole kidnapping scene when dhara walks in on her . That girl is so pure she had left all of her feelings for dev the minute she walked out of Mandap. Even when Rishita was brutal to her the sad look wasn't for losing dev but was for losing what Rishita and dev had . She had dreamt of a fairytale who knew hers would be one of a kind .

We don't know if writers will show us that Shiva finds out about raavi dumping those gifts or no but it will take a long way for Raavi to clear the insecurities Shiva has . It definitely hits a cord with Shiva when he sees her even remotely happy with Dev . That boy has been probably head over heels in love with this girl for a very long time and is not even aware . And that dobbi girl seeks for Shiva's validation since her childhood for every single thing and she doesn't know . I so so want the writers to show us some scenes of the childhood or even some mention of it the way the chole andolan was put forward . It may not be just for Shiva Raavi story telling . But the fact that the writers took an alternate route from the original story of starting story with the kids and then move to 10 years leap means there is so much scope to explore their lives and their mindsets. Although I am personally invested in Shivi. Even if there are some pauses in the whole high voltage drama I don't think we would mind a whole week of memory land episodes .

I just feel ye abhi jo hai bas trailer hai picture abhi baaki hai with the whole show . I so hope it doesn't become a drag because truth be told all relationships in this show are beautiful . The way you elaborated Shiva - Dharas pure bond in EDT is one of the sweetest thing to see. It's very difficult to catch up to anything in EDT so separate posts help a lot.

Loved the caps and the write up as always . They make you heart full❤️

As always, the caps are gorgeous ❤️

As for the revival of Dev-Raavi friendship, I am a bit skeptical of it. For me, they can never go back to the easy bond that they shared because they are no longer the same people, at least Raavi isn't. With Shiva, she is slowly seeing that surface beauty and manners isn't everything. Their actions matter a lot more, especially in crucial moments. The person that sticks by you, no matter what, is the best person to make the center of your world. Shiva is that person now and she will build a friendship with him that will be equal and more beautiful than what she shared with Dev. Yes, Raavi is still an airhead; but she has matured in her understanding of a person's character.

On the other hand, though Dev is largely the same non-confrontational, diplomatic person, Rishita will have some influence on him. His reaction during the tree scene where he says that Rishita was right seems to indicate that he is at least listening to her. Though his friendship may be the same, his behavior may be impacted by Rishita's thoughts, as it should.

Also, coming back to Raavi, I agree she's forgiven him because she is that kind and generous. But I don't think she'll ever forget Dev's silence in the lowest phase of her life. Though Dev was kind to her and protected her from Shiva, when it actually down to it, his actions were extremely self-serving. Regardless of whatever transpired, this was the same man who was neither courageous enough nor trusted their friendship enough to tell her beforehand. He, too, treated her like a dispensable person and a backup option to resolve everything. I think there are certain things in life that are hard to forget. Yes, you do move on; but you don't forget their treatment.

T that was a beautiful analysis. Like always you have captured the subtle emotions quite well. And like always I have seen this scene through your eyes.

The thing is I don't think the Dev Raavi bond can be as simple. Agreed that she has been seeing him as her protector from years, agreed that she and Dev shared a close friendship according to her, agreed that she lets him get away with something as serious as this with a simple laugh. But we forget that Raavi and Shiva has shared just as unique a bond as these two. Raavi have shared with Shiva something just as unique. Is there anything in her life that has been complete without Shiva? She had always included him in everything related to Dev. She gifts him along with Dev. She dreams him along with Dev. Agreed that she has always been saying Dev Dev but her actions have included Shiva more intimately than they have included Dev.

Coming to Dev. He has been non confrontational and allowed Raavi to go on dreaming of him even though Shiva warned him. True friendship would have been him revealing it to her easily about Rishita and himself. Itna hi close tha Raavi se than he would have. But he didn't. That means he actually didn't see her as enough of a friend. Dev have treated Raavi just like anyone he would treat if his brother would have irritated them. Raavi isn't special here. The factor has always been Shiva for Dev. To apply the balm on wounds given by Shiva he made himself a protector to her. So I don't see the warmth here. I see a sense of guilt that pushed him to protect her and apologise as best as he could. And he always have enjoyed being let off easily. Same happened today.

Raavi... She has accepted his apology not because she and Dev are gonna have a new beginning. Its because Dev no longer bothers her or hurts her. The girl has moved on enough to let this man be forgiven so easily because this doesn't matter to her enough. She has filled her heart with her husband. Every indication today spoke of it. Raavi is beginning to see Shiva as more. She sees how he protects her, she sees how he treats fairly even the ones he dislikes, she sees his love for his family and she realises that he is different. He is not the villain she always made him to be.

Her expectations with Dev have always been low. She has a sense of belonging towards Shiva which she always lacked towards Dev. And it has always been highlighted. She doesn't even blame Dev once when he leaves her at altar... she runs away instead. But saving her life is a crime and she hits Shiva and hung to him like she has all the right to it. She sees Dev standing silently on the first day in Pandya house and says- Will you still be silent? Even in the kissing in the angan fiasco, Raavi notices that Dev and her never belonged together. So now when she accepts his friendship, she may seem lighter, but she is conscious of Dev and all his actions. She sees him as a human as opposed to the prince charming of before. She sees his faults. And maybe there will be friendship but that friendship she harbored for him, that warmth, it is lost in the folds of the wedding fiasco and later on. She will be fine with him but there will always be a boundary, a hesitation. She may seem fine but she has set their limits. What stood out stark to me was her not accepting his handshake or even the cake he offered, she broke off a pinch of it. So there will be no progress there. That friendship is forever gone.

What has already started is her gravitation towards Shiva. She has always had this belief on him, this right that she holds on him. She holds him on a much tougher platform than Dev. So when he supposedly left her between kidnappers, she held it on him like a knife. When he cleared his stance, she began to move towards him faster. Even today, she has this sense of belonging to him. She calls him hers easily now. His actions matters. His presence matters. She may not have chosen him but she is happy enough to forgive the guy who pushed her to suicide because now her life is becoming more happier due to her husband. I feel even the warmth she have extended today to Dev stems from her being so happy with Shiva.

But Shiva doesn't see it. And he won't till a long time. Even a slight smile between Dev And Raavi will push him to constantly compare him to a gentlemanly Dev, without realising that Raavi is not exactly attracted to the gentlemanly Dev anymore. The uncouth wild man who married her in an instant despite his dislike for her, is much more dearer to her because he is hers now. She has this warmth for her husband. She has her eyes attached to his movements like he is the centre of her world from now onwards. Everything he does affects her.

Shiva will see how she sees him but after a long journey of Raavi addressing his insecurities. Raavi has done a Dev before and now she is not interested in that route. Shiva seems much more attractive to her.

It will be painful for Shiva to constantly put himself down but Raavi will get him there where he is secure in his place in her life and heart. Ye to humne dekh liya hai ki koi Shiva ko jab kuch kehta hai to Raavi ka paara kaise chadta hai. She can say anything to him. Others cant. And thats where lies the basis of their relationship.

So in the end T, I feel what happened today wasn't a revival of Dev Raavi friendship, that can never be the same again. It is the first step in Raavi Shiva acceptance, where he sees himself as someone not on par with her and she sees him as someone who belongs to her. 🤷🏻‍♀️

@bold

Bang on!

For Dev, there wasn't ever a strong sense of attachment. She was a friend /relative who got ill-treated by his brother and he felt the need to compensate for his brother's actions. His protective stance was somewhere only because of Shiva's actions than any great friendship with Raavi.

Also, if Shiva was never mean to Raavi, I don't think she would have attached herself to Dev to this extent either. She's always seen them as polar opposites and gravitated towards Dev because he was nice to her. Now that she sees Shiva independent of Dev, she can't help but make Shiva the center of her world. Ab saare rishta sirf Shiva se. There's no going back to Dev.

This is such a beautiful post Piu!! 🤗As usual you are brilliant with the captions and words! ❤️❤️You have truly captured the essence of Dev-Raavi-Shiva relationship. Shiva is upset and disappointed in himself thinking that he can never be the man of her dreams! Slowly but surely that is going to change and Raavi is going to realize that Shiva is the man she always wanted to be with since forever!! Their journey of getting to know each other, being there for each other, comforting and understanding each other has just begun and both will realize along the way that they were always each other’s final destination!

I always say Dev was just a jariyaa, Raavi ka aakhri makaam toh hamesha se Shiva hi tha!

Wow wow wow...This post is amazing Piusmiley32smiley32

I cannot finds words ro express how this has been penned down so well. the Dev-Shiva-Raavi conflict has been perfectly expressed by you here. Beautiful and apt quotes like always❤️

I knew we would not get the intense apology from Dev given his character. I liked the scene and the scene brought out the premarriage bond minus Raavi's infatuation back. They were so comfortable with seconds. Like you have put it down beautifully....The bond remains intact always❤️

Shiva💔 My heart breaks for him. The last cap and his resignation is shown so evidently in that....Yes you have said it right...there was no sadness, it was kind off anger and the want to have the same comfort with his Raavi. I loved how you mentioned about Shiva's gaze being only on Raavi. Deep down his heart, he craves for love and all of Raavi's attention only for himself. I am sure Dev will be the path through which Shivi realise what they were for each other since childhood. We really can have beautiful scenes from past telling the conflict of feelings❤️

Amazing post as always....thanks for this🤗

You've out this so aptly. I was thinking along the same lines when I watched the scene yesterday and now I need to watch it again. Lots of thoughts on this too, but will come back end of the week hopefully to say more 😊😊

Thank you, Naira. I think they have set the tone for the final storm coming soon very beautifully. Shiva had always been the third wheel in Dev Ravi equation. One needs to delve deep into their childhood to understand where they stand today. That ‘I love You Dev’ Gift scene was Poignant And speculative.

It opened a whole Pandora’s box of memories for Shiva who clearly seems to be operating in the space of childhood right from the beginning. It will be interesting to see the dynamics from henceforth.🤗

He deserves all the love in the world, solely for him and him only. And he will get it, but it is a long journey of pain, angst, doubts and self worth before he gets there 💔

thank you. I think we all hate to love Shiva, and love to hate him equally. The sense of passionate attachment, hateful detachment and pent-up anger – it’s a perfect recipe for an intriguing character. That’s why you would see very polarised opinions about Shiva.
That’s what makes him interesting and intriguing. The Ravi Shiva bond has tremendous potential in terms of complexities, and if handled we'll, the creatives have a jackpot in their kitty. But, we sadly know this is an Indian television show and nothing layered can happen in it. I bet, a few days later, Dhara will take the credit for uniting these two while they claim that they have fallen in love like Gautam and Dhara. I swear I would hit a rock if this happens. Till it doesn’t, it piques my interest.😆

Look forward to seeing how they play this out.

I didn't like Dev. He was as usual, insensitive. And selfish. He cleared his guilt for himself by tiny apologies to both Shiva & now Raavi individually, though does not have the guts to do it in a way it will make things easier for both of them to move on. Being friend doesn't help, he needs to be a good brother right now & consciously make efforts to clear out past ka baggage he has left unresolved.

Dev owes that to Shiva.

Thank you for rightfully pointing out the character flaws of Dev. I have given up my hope on him being deep, melancholic and remorseful. I think he has always been a very diplomatic person who wants to see people around him happy. No matter how non-malafied his intentions are, his passivity often puts people around him in more harm than benefit. The same happened with Ravi and Rishita; both wronged the girls, but that’s how he is. Non-vocal placed and trying to control the situation with silence.

Regarding Ravi and Shiva, they have a long way to go before they can spell out what they mean to each other. This journey is going to be a journey of heartbreak, recovery, trust catharsis and much more
