Raavi’s Bday brings up a few possibilities:

1. The fact that she lost her parents 10 days after her birth or maybe the same day is heartbreaking. I can’t even imagine how someone feels in such a situation. We learn to celebrate our birthday from our parents. The loss is unimaginable but even more so if it’s associated with ones birth/birthday. Perhaps this might be a tipping point?

2. We initially thought it was Rishimendra’s special day & expected her to make a fuss. But knowing it’s Raavi’s Bday, I wonder if they are trying to recreate childhood moments by making the party appear to be one for a young girl. We might finally get the childhood stories we so badly want (without flashbacks unfortunately).

3. Raavi most likely had expected celebrating this birthday with her husband Dev. It’s so close to the wedding date. This would be an excellent opportunity to revive the Dev-Shiva tension or give a small glimpse of it. What if this year Dev accidentally wishes her first? I’m sure each year Raavi wanted Dev to wish her before anyone else but what happens when he finally does it under the current circumstances? What if Shiva overhears their conversation?

I think the decision of making it Raavi’s birthday has a purpose. The OG showed Rishita’s birthday so they could have easily done the same here & given us the usual drama. If the writers want, they can use this opportunity to bring the show back on track. This one event can give rise to so many emotions for Raavi, Shiva and all the other characters.

Raavi's birthday should have purpose and I hope it is more than YKB and cake and food scenes😆

Now coming to the epic reveal scene! The entire shot was done in a reveal mode with camera turns and slow motion. It's a revelation for Raavi-the same Raavi who believes she has no hope, love, respect in her marriage. She believes Shiva has abandoned her again, but then he swoops in without any provocation. Dhara did call her, but his realisation for the custom brings him back!

He is thereby her side, with a Shubharambh, the new beginning, a new genesis. He holds her like she belongs to him, this time on his free will without anyone's coaxing. He comes back only to be there. And, as usual, Raavi sees him in a new light, hence the reveal shot.
