Chapter 1

Raavi cooked breakfast as per her daily routine. Get up early, cook breakfast for everyone, help Dhara Di in managing home expenses, then helping Rishita in making lunch and dinner. This was her life now. Oh, how could she forget the taunts she gets her so called husband every now and then? That’s the most prominent part of her life.

She always had this dream to be married in the Pandya family. She dreamt of having a happy life here. But she knew, it was an impossible thing now. What she did was not only her fault, but for that, no one was going to forgive her. The 'no one' included her 3 dearest persons - Rishita, Dev and Shiva.

She wiped her tears and went out of the kitchen, only to find Dev passing by. He was again in the same mood, not in a mood of talking to her, but his eyes said many things. But the only thing she could see in his eyes now was, I’ll never forgive you.

He went without uttering a word. She also didn't bother to stop him.

Raavi moved ahead and suddenly bumped to someone. Afraid of falling down, she closed her eyes and held the first thing she found tightly only to realise that she was saved half way. Opening her eyes, she found Shiva holding her by her waist, and she clutching his shirt tightly. Their eyes met, she could realise that his tears were searching a way to escape. But suddenly the pain in his eyes turned in anger and he pushed her in a jerk.

“How many times have I told you, stop coming in between my way!” he said as he gritted his teeth.

“Shi..”

“Shut up!” Raavi was taken aback with his yell. “Why do you always spoil my mood?”

“What’s your problem?” she asked getting equally annoyed.

“You!” he yelled back. “I have a problem with you, your voice, your face and with your attitude!”

“Shiva…” His name came off her mouth when she realised him gripping her wrist and twisted it as her back hit his chest.

"Aah! Shiva, what are you doing?” Raavi hissed in pain.

“Kya hua? Dard ho raha hai? This is nothing in front of the pain you have all of us.” He whispered in her eyes and pushed her.

“Itna gussa? Itni nafrat!”

“Meri nafrat tune ab tak dekhi hi kahan hai? You know what? Tujhse shaadi karna, meri life ki sabse badi galti thi, aur tujhse pyaar karna, usse bhi badi!”

He spat like venom and went away leaving behind a broken Raavi.

Shiva sat dejectedly in his bed, how much ever he showed himself strong to the outer world, this girl who is supposedly his wife never fails to bring tears from his eyes. Though he may look as the terror to outside world, she had broken the human inside him completely.

Gautam and Dhara always tease him and say that the day he married Raavi was the day the great Shiva Pandya became soft.

He begs to differ.

He, Shiva Pandya will never turn soft.

For years, he had held the title of a Monster and that would never change. The reason why Gaumbi and Dhara Bhabhi presumed things was because he had decided to act sweet to that mami ki behen ki beti around the family. He didn’t want them to know that they were not happy in their so called married life.

He couldn’t believe how their lives had turned.

What had he done to himself? Why was he torturing himself? Was he a masochistic? No. It was worse. He had fallen in love. Fallen in love with the wrong person.

The door clicked open and Shiva watched Raavi entering the room. She stood a few steps away, looking at him devastated.

Upon looking closely, the distance between them was just a few steps but in reality, it was much more than that. And between them, there was an invisible line which would never let them meet again, a line drawn by her, drawn by them. It was amazing how from stealing glances during school and college days, they were now individuals who could go to any extent to get the other one taste the bitterness of defeat.

I would never forgive you.

Before his eyes could yell up again, Shiva left the room.

Rishita packed her stuffs lost in thoughts. She couldn’t believe that it was already a month of her marriage with Dev. She had always wanted to marry Dev but not like how she did. All because of her – Raavi.

They were so close in college – she, Dev, Shiva and Raavi. They were a gang and had set an example of friendship. But she spoilt everything. She hurt everyone of them.

“I’ll never forgive you, Raavi!”
