Disclaimer: I haven't watched any previous episodes before Shivi wedding so my views are based only in the episodes since then

So,ever since the twin weddings happened, Rishita is becoming the center of attraction for all the wrong reasons but I don't blame her at all and find her behaviour quite understandable.

If we look at things from her POV, she has been brought up in a nuclear family, a very protective and pampered upbringing(I might be wrong in the pampered dept), she has never experienced a joint family or how it's different from a nuclear setup, she has never experienced the dynamics between multiple family members all living under one roof.

Now she falls in love with a guy. Her own family are dead against thier marriage and even the guy's family is getting him married somewhere else. After many trials, she escapes and stops the wedding and get married to the man of her dreams. Now being brought up in a nuclear family and being newly married obviously she wants to spend some alone time with her husband which naturally every girl wants to do but instead they are thrown into a family outing with over zealous family members and no privacy at all. For someone with no family experience, so many people can be suffocating.

Now coming to her behaviour with Dhara, I feel she thinks Dhara was getting Dev married so naturally she will resent her a lot. Also she doesn't understand what Dhara's stature is in the household and in Dev's life. For her, she is another DIL albeit an elder one so why give her the stature of a mother or follow her orders.

Now let's take up Raavi, Rishita rightly said all she wanted was to marry Dev, she never asked Shiva to marry Raavi nor she is the reason for their misery, so why should she feel guilty for them when they married on their accord and she has every right to enjoy her hard earned marriage.

Again I'll say I'm not defending her behaviour but just trying to understand where she is coming from. She is rude, self-centered, disrespectful, childish and thoughtless but it's because all this new dynamics is so foreign to her that she can't understand how to navigate it. Also let's keep in mind that both Dhara and Raavi have known the Pandyas since childhood but Rishita has just met them

But the one person I hold responsible for her behaviour and all the mess is Dev. We know how big a role he played in the wedding fiasco so let's not discuss that but even before the wedding, he never explained Rishita about his family or his bhabhi-ma. He never explained how drastically different his upbringing and family is from Rishita's and what all she has to encounter. I feel Rishita just needs a little time to adjust and learn abt her new family. The family is expecting too much from her too soon.

DING DING DING! I don't blame her either, its the way she was brought up!! I do think Dev is at fault here for quite a few things, clearly he didn't explain to her, his family's dynamics! Why blame someone who suffered a lot? And she did by the hands of her family and also Dev's cowardly behaviour!

Also I think the actress is doing a great job! Totally annoyed by her character lol

I honestly don't think that being mannerless has any justification in the current situation of Pandya household. Dev is the worst one here because he never solved/solves problems from the root. Its all on the upside. Hence he's giving so much more room for greater problems to brew.

Rishita might not know the dynamics of joint family, yet had she been a little less self centred she'd have been able to absorb all of the member dynamics of their emotions. Rishita might have not asked for Shivi marriage but since she's "Mera Dev" s better half. She should have taken half the responsibility of the mute babu. Ab jab Dev uski hai toh Dev ki galatiyon ko bhi apnana toh banta hai.

She's so tone deaf in her attitude that it shows she lacks empathy. Kaam toh baanti nahi bhagodi dulhan ne lekin khana bas apne aur apne babu k liye banega. Waah bhai waah. Truly till now she's a part of the mandir ka ghanta and his moti ben.

Had Rishita's character been a little more kind, instead of being after everyone's life I'd have happily given her all the benefits of doubt, here I just can't.

Mine is a long rant 😅

The fact that her own father did all that to her, it just goes to show she doesn't understand normal family relations and how a happy family works. She comes from a dysfunctional house and her world now is just Dev. The onus is on Dev to explain her family dynamic to her, why Dhara Bhabhi holds that place, how we interact, etc. But of course he will actually say anything.

That being said its not like she grew up in isolation from society so cannot recognise good and bad behaviour. Children from the most broken, mess up families also can be good, kind people because they make the effort. Rishita does not. She just doesn't care and that takes away any sympathy we have had for her.

I totally agree with what you have written cos I find it completely true. She is the way she is cos of how she's been brought up. I don't find faults in her as we have seen that in her family all decisions were taken by her Bua & Father. Mom was just a mute family member. She fell in love with Dev cos he let her be herself & didn't pass around orders to her. He let her be free That's the reason she keeps on saying 'Mera Dev'. She wants to make sure that this amazing person stays with her & never leaves her..

Dev needs to slowly start explaining her how things work & run here & she might slowly start understanding. Expecting her to understand & accommodate to this new environment immediately is stupid on his part too.

Yes that's why I said I'm not defending her behaviour. Some of her acts have been uncalled for but for some, she is totally understandable
