Will Dev turn negative?

don't know about the original and how closely they will stick to it but in Hindi shows FL's first love often turns negative, at least partially, and want her back. This mostly helps her realize her love for her husband.

Here - looking at Rishita's behavior and Dev cringing at it, I can almost see him wishing he married Raavi and trying to keep Shiv and Raavi away. He will never be 100% negative because then Dhara will look bad. 🤣

what do you guys think?

I really hope Dev doesn't turn negative. From his childhood, he was shown as a very sweet and caring boy. I think by making him into some sort of negative character it will only ruin the show and add some unnecessary drama. Personally think having only Janardhan as a negative character is best.

No, I don’t think it’s going that route. Dev isn’t the kind to do that. He’s a loyal brother if nothing else.

mmhh interesting thought process, maybe for any other show I could probably see it because come on, a love interest always has to turn negative for some reason.

BUT!! I don't see Dev turning negative, I think despite how he feels about Rishita right now, he does love her, and I do not see that changing.

Only Janardan will not work. They need negative characters for protagonists to shine. Mami now the comic relief...

For now, Rishita will play the troublemaker.

Agree as of now. Let's see how his character handles someone like Rishta.

Can't trust a guy's love when his girl has to do all the fighting...😈

Jokes apart - Dev's character has annoyed me since Rishta showed up at the wedding. I don't know what I expected but right now I agree with Shiva's taunts. He seems to have dumped Rishta on his family and checked out.

I don't think any of the characters here will ever turn negative. Even Mami is not negative. So Dev may have changes in his behavior, he will never be an outward negative character.

Ah yes, this is actually something that I also agree with that he's annoyed me too since the wedding track has started because he's literally just letting Rishita walk all over them. Even in today's episode, it was extremely noticeable because when Rishita was being rude about the room nonsense, he was trying to quietly stop her and then just kept silent. but the minute Shiva said something, (something correct too), he was ready to yell at Shiva. like ???

That's a track which is tried and tested and succeeded in ITV. But I really hope they don't go that route AT ALL. Dev & Rishita do undergo a marital discord down the line, but in no regional versions has he been depicted as someone who is remorseful of marrying her. He could be remorseful of marrying her in such an embarassing and emotionally charged situation, but that's about it.

A few days ago I had bumped into a some promos of the marathi version of the show. There, the character of Dev is shown as a big shipper of Shiva & Raavi to the point that he is frustrated when Shiva fails to confess his feelings to Raavi. Despite being spineless in some emotional moments, the character is actually good at heart and only wishes well for all.
