It’s frustrating because we as the audience want these women to react how normal people would react to such a criminal. But this isn’t a normal household. It’s a criminal and toxic household where Bisma and Nashwa have been suppressed and controlled for decades. They’re all flawed characters, burdened by their past traumas. Even when we see them try, they’re immediately shut down. So acceptance and minding their own business is part of daily survival for them. Ammar is an untouchable for Nashwa. Going against the aakhri waaris of their messed up family is like beckoning hell upon herself and her mother.
Well said. While I understand they can easily leave with support of Asim and co, it's been decades of abuse. And while they're bad they're still family. Even after the hate there is love. It's twisted.
People often see in black and white and in linear.
Trauma healing is not linear in life. People often relapse. I wish some viewers had that grace and patience in their heart to understand that.
But in any case the writer needs to stand up.
The characters and their interactions are so dynamic that their mundane daily household interactions is super engaging!
I was hooked up till episode 14. I had a bit of a disconnect in 15 and it picked up in 16 again
My favourite line from this drama is when Burhan tells Bisma that mene ap ko Bina dekhe Bina sune Ma mana hai.
Gold standard that is.
Though unrealistic lol.
Also, I'm major missing Sana. Maheen and the Saba actress did so well. Har kisi ne apni kirdar ko 150 percent di.
I still have shikwa with Usama's performance. I know it's his best and he gave it his best but it doesn't measure up to what the others are doing or the mayar of his character. Character ki mayar pe nahi utra
I even miss Bari Sahab.
I miss his chai and that silly gupahup and commentary on women in law
