There was no commitment or promises for Aaliya to keep. If she wants to choose asfar she can even without considering salman and that made him insecure. Anyone will be insecure about it. It's not a new thing for girls and guys to choose richer people as partners even if they love someone else. It's not that salman don't know Aaliya loves him it's his fear that she can choose asgar despite of that for financial stability and Aaliya is shown to be a practical person. He don't know how emotional she is when it comes to him and she don't think practically when it comes to him.

Badar directed cheekh and balaa well also. Mein and MPHT were also popular dramas too but there is a visible down grade in his direction. Ydm came at the peak of sahad's popularity and was promoted well and even started off well but the direction ruined it. It was dragged way too much and the characters became irritating due to that.
