I am biased towards Meerab. I like to see her not facing serious consequences. The main problem with this drama is Meerab not getting monologues. Monologues will help viewers to see the things from her point of view. If she is acting/reacting in a certain way and we get a monologue from her side during that time, we can understand her better. And also like someone said there are changes in Meerab but they are very subtle. And also like someone said something like it is not like progression, it is more like back and forth in the emotions from Meerab's side, viewers would have understood if they had shown us the monologues to understand her struggle between her heart which wants to accept Murtasim's love and her mind which keeps reminding her of her suffering. The makers could have shown it like when her heart wins she takes a step towards Murtasim but when the mind wins she takes a step back from Murtasim.

Also I think Mariyam's track will help Meerab to realize how much Murtasim loves her. He may still stand by her and it will move her heart and will make her realize his love for her. Then contract breach might happen. Then when the separation happens, at that time Meerab might realize how much she loves Murtasim.

It’s the way Yumna plays Meerab.

That innocent face and eyes, those expressions (angry or sad) can melt anyone. She makes you Meerab’s pain, her resistance in accepting her Marriage, her turmoil, everything. Even with no dialogue, she can create magic.

What pisses me about Meerab is lack of dialogue. It’s like there is lot to read between the lines. I have to guess her feelings. I am someone who needs verbal assurance, verbal dialogues, that’s something I miss seeing in Meerab. But it’s ok, Meerab is the way Meerab.

Only yumna could play meerub and she is doing it fabulously. 👏 she has great screen presence . She is very natural in her dialogues. Tere bin means meerasim...and meerasim means yumhaj.❤

In the interview, the director told that Meerab was already in love. During that time Episode 19 and 20 were airing.

True. It would have helped viewers understand Meerub better and look at things from her perspective. To me, a lot of times it looks like it is only about her zidd... especially the Mariyam track. Always about her promise, her maksad but what about the repercussions? What about the consequences of her actions? Let's say Anas was a good guy, even then was eloping justified? In yesterday's episode, she was sure that MK wasn't lying...she kept on saying it's a MU but not once did she think what if MK is right...what if Anas is not a good guy. In a lot of places (to me atleast), it looked like she just wanted to prove a point...was no more about Mariyam but about the never ending need & want of proving herself right - having said that, I might be wrong. Like you said, we didn't get to hear her pov, her feelings.

In terms of changes, I'm in two minds right now...I kind of understand her but at the same time I don't.

One thing I definitely want her to change is acting on her impulsive and not thinking from the other person's PoV. A lot of our decisions in life, not only impact us but also our loved ones. I'm not saying one should sacrifice for others but should be considerate...especially, if decision can make things/people or break them.

IMO, as a wife she obviously wanted MKs attention and would be a little possessive, especially when there's a third party who claims to be in love with your partner.

Post that, bit by bit, she starting falling for him or atleast liking him

Yup, was talking about this only. As a viewer, it has been a little difficult to understand what's going on in her heart..no monologues, no nothing.

And yes, Yumna has done a fab job. Her eyes, her expressions ❤️❤️ say so much

the frustration we have of not knowing what’s on Meerabs head is like why??? Why don’t I know?

But we will never know! We will know through murtasam action and that’s how u fall in love with both character 😂😂

eg. Haya: we know what haya is to murtasam. We know all her back story. Same feeling can be applied to meerab with rohil however we don’t know his back story but can relate Bcs we know hays one.

2. Meerabs whole process of getting into the marriage. We don’t know murtasam one but we can apply meerab story to murtasam! (Don’t mention how lame that chahat was) 😂😂
