Episode 24
We all have some problems with this episode, but I think it was a good turn to the story. I am trying to understand this with the literary view and would try to refrain from being partial.
Meerub is yet to realise her love, so it’s the only good time for MU, cause after she claims that she loves Murtasim, Rohail’s entry doesn’t make sense. And to make any drama hit, MU is an important concept just talking from literary pov, no one likes the drama which goes smoothly. We all look for a escape in these shows and books and the struggle of the character is what give us that escape. So MU was necessary and it is the only good time because if they both are in love then these stupid things are not going to matter.
Many things in the episode looks like they don’t make any sense, but they do like with the first scene Haya threatened her maid who was on her side with this she lost the support of that person who knew her darkest secret.
Second scene, The death of Murtasim’s people under his supervision on his land, the crisis is in his professional life, direct attack on his position as a leader.
Third scene MB sending Haya with Murtasim so that she can be in touch with him through her, that was the reason but did she contacted haya? No, she didn’t. Then why did she send her? I can find many reasons, one is she wanted to keep her out so that she can permanently keep her out, if she is planning something against haya like her wedding then her presence could be a hindrance, another reason could be that she wanted to prove it to Meerub that May be Haya loves Murtasim but he doesn’t and even if they are alone, Murtasim is not going to give in to haya and if this is the reason then her plan clearly failed cause Meerub did see them in a compromising position. You all are thinking that MB has no brain but the lady who ruled everyone’s life can’t be that dumb according to me.
Fourth Scene, Murtasim who actually cared about Meerub, agreed to take Haya with him, what could be the reason? The fan in me would give him the benefit of doubt that it’s because he was thinking for the safety of his people and Haya/Meerub angle can be discussed later, he was in hurry and his mother was halting him as he was going alone. But the literature fanatic in me knows that it was for no reason except to create misunderstanding, they showed that man as the brain of this empire and suddenly he became dumb? Doesn’t make sense, I am still waiting for his pov so that we can have an insight what he was thinking while agreeing with it.
Fifth scene, Meerub was ill and MB thought she is pregnant. MB is an old school lady so I don’t find any problem with her thoughts getting only one direction but she should have asked Meerub, and that’s where the theory of literature comes into picture, she would have definitely asked her if it was a real life but it is not so it is important to set the base for MUs.
Sixth scene Haya making the fake call to mislead Murtasim, but he didn’t believe her words.
Seventh scene, Meerub asking about haya and she is the main reason why she is continuing this drama, Haya left no chance to show her that she is the outsider so now she wants to show Haya that who is the outsider.
Eighth scene Murtasim is doing his duty, he is trying to correct his decisions which according to him were bad but I don’t think Malik jr. is behind these murders, they gave the message that forgiveness is the thing we need in this bitter world so why would they nullified this message by showing that forgiveness is a bad thing.
Ninth scene Meerub ignoring Rohail’s call but worried about Murtasim’s leave, so why she didn’t call her that’s easy to guess if she would have then there would be no story. Or May be she has no balance and can only receive calls but Murtasim was unable to contact her as well, has she blocked his number??
Fast forward to the scene where she agreed to meet Rohail and now is meeting him, she told Rohail about the contract and her relation with Murtasim which many found as wrong and it is, but then she is not wrong cause Rohail was the one who provoked her by praising her that you are the Meerub and now it was about her image, she needed to defend her and the only way she could defend herself was to tell the truth.
Then the scen me where MB tells Murtasim about Meerub’s absence and Anwar saw her with Rohail, i don’t think that Anwar will ever tell Murtasim about this but he would definitely tell this to waqas and Murtasim would overhear their talks and would connect the dot.
