True. I don't think that will ever change, but I am hoping this show picks up in terms of viewership, the team has worked too hard for this show to just slip by everyone. Parizaad has given me hope that these non-saas bahu dramas can do well.

Someone told me there was this topic ka fatigue, apparently this was the third show or movie about Fall of Dhaka. There was a terrible movie also released last year so lots of people were tired of this topic. I am so glad I am watching this show and didn’t watch the other things.

Yeah it’s been 50 years since the split, so all channels are in a race to have a drama on it. It would have been better if they were spaced. The other mini series on same subject is extremely dry but very well made. No eye candy. I might watch it few months later.

This topic itself is so depressing I would watch it ever if not for wahaj but I'm so glad I started it... It is so rich n layered... I love mayas mom too..

I would have never bothered to watch it too if it wasn't for wahaj and man, what a miss that would have been.

I have seen even people from bd are watching it out of curiousity to see how they will portray the war but solely as a drama viewer, they are liking it.

wahaj n maya... uff their chemistry is usp of this show...

Wahaj Maya Talha Adnan Jaffar and Nadia Jamil added so much value to the show

What I didn't like is the actor who is playing Sheikh Mujibur Rahman

Very bad casting

The guy can't act for life

And then they r showing mujib to be a selfish bad tempered person who doesn't want to negotiate

Whereas mujib kept calling the pak authority for negotiations a zillion times but no one from there came for a proper productive dialogue

Instead on 25th March midnight the pak Army did a massacre in Dhaka while everyone was asleep

The uprising of the students with hatred they r showing here happened after the 25th midnight attack where thousands of Dhaka university students were killed

But here they r showing the Dhaka university students are trying to harm the non Bengalis which isn't true

Anyways ....I still wish they didn't make a joke of Sheikh mujib personality by casting that actor and giving him those pathetic dialogues and eye movements

Apart from that I really want to salute WAHAJ

he has literally transformed himself into a Bengali DU university who wants to protest with peace

With Rumi they are at least showing some part of the truth from the Bengali side

Wahaj occasional Bengali speaking to his frustration and restlessness regarding the political scenario to his silent love for Maya ......each n every dialogue emotion body language eye movement...voice modulation....Kya Baat Kya Baat

He should at least be nominated as best actor for this role

Thank you Abby for describing the real situations those days. I knew there's always the other side of the story. I don't think anyone can go to this extent of harming other ppl unless he was put under a gr8 zulm. As I said earlier this is almost the same in my country. If 2 nations are treated like one none would've complaind.. but the lack of equality and justic must've caused this revolution among Bengalis. 😊

I too am loving the performances of the leads. Wahaj is the best.. Maya as never seen before. Talha is very talented.. and his character is likeable. Nadia Jamil makes me smile.. 😃 But the other characters of Bangali rebels make me shiver.☢️

I think the split was the best option. Bangla people needs were not met, bad governance, power struggles and racism, all created this divide.

I've just read about seperation between Pakistan and Bangladesh and I am horrified.☢️ I didn't expect that it was too bloody.. so many ppl died , and so many women were raped.😭 I didn't think this could happen in recent times, by muslims. I don't understand how the makers of this drama are trying to justify it . but I am still watching it , because it is a well directed drama with suspence and gr8 acting skills by leads.
