Nope not feeling it..This feels like a reprised version of Deewangi! At least Shahzaib in Ishq Hai was still a different person from Sultan..including how Danish changed his whole look as well..but here it just seems like he is playing another version of Sultan.. Don’t feel like watching this ahead..I really liked Dur-E’s family and her character and her father etc..but Again they will show Shamsher destroying them in the bid for his ek baar aankhen takraayi aur pyaar ho haha Wala stalkerish love..😑 nothing can top Deewangi because somehow Sultan managed to even justify it for quite a bit..till he lost his marbles completely..but here it’s a bit too random. I like all the actors in this show and happy for Danish and this show will also be a huge hit in terms of numbers..but he needs to do a different..more happy and chilled out guy kinda role!😅

Loving the pace so far. No draggy bits, every actor is doing their job very well and it keeps you engaged no matter what.

The cons: Serious issues with the colour grading. Everyone looks like they have a fake tan.

Coming to the episode itself:

Shamsher is crazy about Mehak and will leave no stone unturned to obtain her. That's the main problem, isn't it, she isn't an object.

He pretty much doesn't give a damn about what society says...and to a certain extent he said certain dialogues which my inner devil says in the same situations as shown in the show 😆

Like in the beginning when the mohalla people are trying to take videos to create a scandal he goes like "le lo, ye shayad tum log ki zindagi ka aakhri video ho" 🤣

Gotta say, his one liners crack me up 🤣🤣

So pissed that they cut out Kaise Hai Uncle though

Other than his sarcasm and one liners...he's pretty much every girl's nightmare. He's not totally evil like Jaan-e-Alam, neither is he as mature as Sultan Durrani...Shamsher is basically a brash spoilt brat who hasn't grown up at all...except in one department (uwkim 😉🤣)

Special shoutout for Ahsan for legit trying to be a hero in front of Mehak and then not even trying to come save her when Shamsher turned up at her house 🤣🤣 Vadda aaya sher banne 🤣🤣

Mehak though...you really do feel for her. DurE is doing such a fabulous job so far! In the dinner scene when she musters the courage to speak in front of Shamsher was so good. She was absolutely terrified yet she managed to hold her own ground ❤️

Next week...well..its gonna be crazy that's all I am gonna say 🤣

Saw the YT premiere.

I think the second episode is a big jump from the first which looked to be a jaded premise with Danish reprising the same role as a powerful-guy-goes-all-out-to-forcefully-woo-his-ladylove that was premise of his earlier two/three shows as well.

There are some interesting novelties that presented themselves in the second episode. I think this show presents the daredevil nature of the character properly, while at the same time showing the haplessness of the heroine's family which has fallen prey to his antics. In Deewangi and Ishq Hai, Nageen and Isra were essentially the sole recipients of the hero's attention without others in the know, at least initially. But here, Mehak's family also sees his madness and experience it first hand right from Day 1🤣 That makes for an interesting variation because it does make us empathize with their plight.

Danish was really good in this episode and good at showing his escalating junoon. The chap who plays Ahsan is now the actor who gets called for roles to play the darpok second fiddle to Danish in every show, lol.

I am still on the fence about Dur E Fishan's performance. She was good in the scene with Danish but I was distracted by her dialogue delivery in the scene with her family, her Urdu pronunciations did not seem to have clarity to even an Indian viewer like me.

I think this show is different from Danish's previous ventures in the genre because it will explore the power disparity and class dynamic at play properly by using this madness of Shamsher for Mehek. The second episode has really taken the story several notches up and I am excited to see where it goes👍🏼
