More than the whole Judaai controversy..why was Zahid so upset with Amma Tv aur main? He called them out and went on to say that such crassness should not be promoted etc etc. I'm not sure what happened there so if anybody could throw light on it

Amna was super professional in the way she handles both questions pertaining to Judaai as well as Amma bit. She even stood up for the journalism community and that was so nice.

Zahid is extremely intelligent and it's a treat to watch his IVs. But this one was actually a scathing interview and he looked pretty upset about Judaai and some personal remarks made on him as well

The last part had scathing criticism, not the overall interview. Being subjected to unfair criticism can easily be a bruising experience, however well you handle your critic. Reviewers and artists work in a complicated, symbiotic relationship. I know it’s not a critic’s job to fluff a celebrity’s ego. I also never said that you should be welcomed with encouraging gestures from all of your critics no matter how you act. Critics can withhold approval. But in case they proceed to deliver a withering critique of your work, each point of which, you FEEL* (remember this keyword) is patently wrong, that is when you ✋🏽 The main thing to remember is that we're talking about unfair criticism here rather than constructive feedback. I didn’t wanna mention ‘Amma Tv Aur Main’ since Zahid didn’t take names. He most probably was talking about them. One may think that he was scathingly critical but that’s exactly what Zahid thinks about those particular reviewers too. It was a never-before-seen meltdown about media criticism of him or his work (or of his friends). Otherwise if we look far back in time, he has also elegantly embraced SH as well as others critique. I don’t think he’s against constructive criticism at all. Hassan and Amna have both expressed disappointment in MTA, its writing, its direction, and also its characters including Zahid’s. They didn’t even spare IZN which was his career’s breakthrough. Did we see him whining about that? Amma was largely overcritical of IZN and that too to the point she didn’t even wanna review it anymore. Did we see him losing his cool then? Of course not. I don’t think he’s so intolerant that he can’t even handle criticism. If he’s using the word “crass” today it obviously means he’s talking about personal attacks. That rhetorical strategy where critics not only attack the character but the actor’s motive, the way he looks, or some other attribute of the person rather than attacking the substance of the argument itself. But let’s not get there or we’d be taking this argument somewhere else. And tbh I don’t even have that energy lol. Maybe Zahid misunderstood that ‘anonymous’ reviewer? Lemme redirect your attention to the keyword *FEEL! We feel the reviewer in question doesn’t make crass assumptions. He feels they do. And he’s not alone. Many feel like that. I’m giving him the benefit of doubt because normally he isn’t that highly sensitive type who always reacts so strongly to criticism. He was always, as a matter of fact, an emotionally intelligent person. So what’s the problem here? Accumulated frustration? Misunderstanding? Or the idea that different people interpret differently? Yes! Not everyone reads people the way we do. They don’t even have to. The thing is that actors like Zahid Ahmed or fashion writers/interviewers like Amna Haider Isani and even drama reviewers like Amma aren’t people pleasers. They say whatever is there in their heart. If you can criticize straight to the face you are amongst the golden species in the virtual world of the 21st century. You are not that boring human, with a boring opinion. Everyone doesn’t have to behave like a sweet, goodly person who always bows his head in a servile manner. Glad to see Zahid and Amna’s probity in this era of improbity. There’s no pretentious or showy display which is so rare nowadays. Har wakt dosray logon ko raazi karnay k liye bolna bhi theek nai hai. And it’s downright ridiculous how people are comparing Zahid’s interview with others. That how others are so sweet while he’s so rude. Even Something Haute would laugh at their inanity lol. Everyone is individual and different. People have different likes, dislikes, quirks and idiosyncrasies. Zahid doesnt have to be like or learn from someone’s favorite ‘agreeable’ star. Why even be the next xyz? Why not the next YOU? Every actor has different qualities that make up their personalities unique, the things that make them THEM! And like I said earlier, Zahid is not a sternest critic who constantly criticizes like {They-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named lol} If you watch his other interviews you get the idea that this man has internal peace. He knows himself and knows what he doesn’t like about himself. But in this particular interview, he didn’t look healthy at all. I was right when I said that MTA took its toll on his health. I’m not sure if he really has anxiety issues or not. But he did look pretty far from ok. For the record, individuals with anxiety are very fearful of being judged and being criticized can feel like being under attack in a war zone! It casts a shadow over their thoughts, feelings, and perceptions of the world. That’s when they arm themselves by being overly critical of others. Ok fine, let’s not jump into conclusions by diagnosing someone over the internet. And it’s still long for me to get a doctorate in clinical psychology lol. But there is definitely something more than stress. He is not the Zahid we saw on this same SH hot seat 10 months ago. So my pick is ‘accumulated frustration’. Man needs to find a healthy way to vent. Which is why I’m not mad at him for whatever he said at the end. In fact, I am worried. Even Amna could sense nervousness in his gestures even before starting the interview. So let’s cut that man some slack yaar. He’s one of the few unproblematic celebs we have and I don’t want him out of that bracket. I also hope he’s fine. It feels sad to look at the once amusing, jocular man today this furious, unsmiling and with a stern face that didn’t even want to look straight into the eyes of his interviewer.

I think I should stop giving long-winded replies lol. I don’t think I read the question properly and wrote pora essay, most of which is beside the point. 🤦🏽‍♀️

Anyways, does anyone know the exact episode count of MTA? At one point of the IV, Zahid says something along the lines of “adapt it over 25-30 episodes.” Now that’s a ballpark figure of HUM dramas lol. Hoping against hope that it doesn’t run over 25 this time. Even 25 is too much.

I actually hope its only 25, or even less. The story will lose it's touch if it drags. Cause it's already almost at the total climax.

Episode was over dramatic. Talaq drama, photoframe ka jalana aur shahaan ki maa ka hospital jana everything happened in it.

It started with Shafaq And Shahaan's mother scene and Shahaan's scene with his friend in his office.

Than the drama started when Ulfat saw a photo frame of shahaan, shafaq and ulfat instead of shahaan and ulfat and she burned that frame and she over reacted on it. Than shahaan slapped her.

Shafaq is like so bechari trying to manaying ulfat but ulfat insulted her and trying to throw her out of the house but shafaq father came at that time and Ulfat insulted him as well.

Than shahaan got angry with Ulfat and he was ready to say three words of talaq but at that time his mother got a heart attack.

In hospital shahaan scolded ulfat. And in last scene shahaan's mother tried to reunite shahaan and ulfat.

In next episode shafaq will leave shahaan as she will feel that she is misfit in this family. ( Bari jaldi khayal agiya).

I don't get it Ulfat ny pehly tu khud yeh shadi karwai aur ab jab paisa mil gia hai tu yeh shafaq ka pataa katwana chahti hai. Issey tu phir dhokybaaz laalchi insaan kehna chaiye.

Aur shafaq ko pata tha shahan aur ulfat ka tu ab unko saath dekh kar iska moh kyun baan jata hai. Aur yeh itni bechari kyun baan gai hai. I mean she used to run a business she should be strong and independent.

Thank you @Nina for the review.

The story is moving fast. I just want to see Shayan's face when the conspiry between Ulfat and Shafaq discolds. 😈 in Judaai it was revealed from the beginning, here Shayan is unaware of it.. which is a good twist.😉

This episode was definitely hitting all notes of being highly unbearable..may not even watch ahead

So overdramatic and Sonya's screaming left me deaf! I refuse to believe that the actors dint know this is a straight lift off Judaai. Sonya is literally aping Sridevi..trying to be shrill..in case of Sri, her voice was naturally shrill ..so it din't sound jarring..but Sonya is literally screaming her lungs out and making it unbearable to watch. Sigh..she has such a nice voice like PC..but idk why she is going so OTT here in specific.

Even Javed Sheikh was overacting..the acting is universally bad in this show..I've started to not care about Shahan and Shafaq too..their track is just going around in circles..and I really couldn't care less now what happens to all three central characters

Koi doodh ka dhula nahi hai. Ulfat thought grass is greener on the other side. But once she gets the money, she realizes that yeah this is fun, mujhe ye khushi bhi chahiye but i wont share my pehli wali khushi (shahaan) which unfortunately was the part of the deal.

Shafaq thought grass is greener on the other side. But once she gets the married, she realizes that yeah this is fun, mujhe ye khushi bhi chahiye but i wont "willingly and whole heartedly" share my khushi which was an open secret when the deal was made.

Shahaan is like arey wahan do green sides for me. But poor thing didn't see that also means ke both sides of grass need mowing. Aya tha woh dono side se phool chun ne, end mein banke reh gaya khud ek fool. 😂😂😂

Summary of the story - Ulfat is greedy, Shafaaq is needy and Shahaan is plainass stupid. Bhaad mein jaaye sab ke sab, i dnt giving any of them a flying f*ck. 😎

Samaj hi gaye honge mere opinion abt this drama. More pissED at Zahid because uske dramon se mujhe kuch umeed rehti thi... That's how you build brand value. Now it is competition between MTAH and Sangat as to which of these is the WORST mistake of his career!

I happened to catch the photo-burning scene on a random Instagram post, and thought okay this is getting interesting..so I gave the recent episode a try and it was a let down

My only question- is Shahan unaware of the "deal" between the two ladies? And if yes, how/why did he agree to marry Shafaq in the first place?

Also, Shafaq was show to be so headstrong and everything in the very beginning (I think I only saw the first 2 episodes)..then why the whole "bechari" stuff now?
