Mohib Mirza is probably one of those actors whom we see in quite selective roles, and those are to remember! The versatile actor chooses captivating scripts and then performs to the best of his talent.

Mohib's upcoming project Deedan - which also stars our favorite Sanam Saeed - is one such project and from what we know so far, the drama is going to another feather in Mohib's hat.

In am exclusive talk with HIP, Mohib shared all about Deedan which will be an unusual love story revolving around Pakhtoon culture.

"Zardaab is the name of my character and he's deeply in love with this girl Resham (Sanam Saeed). However, he has a lot many obstacles to cross before he can be with the love of his life," shared the actor.


"The character is very different from what I have done before as it's the first time I'll be playing a Pakhtoon, so the accent that I adopted was a challenge in its own," he further told of his character who in his words will be 'sacrificing a lot for his love'.

While the drama is Mohib's third consecutive project with Sanam, he seemed pretty ecstatic to work with the actress.

"Sanam is an amazing person and actress to work with. She's a professional and there has never been a time when you would face issues because of her on set," said Mohib of his co-star with whom he shared the screen last time as well in Firaaq.


Mohib is all excited and positive for his comeback to television screen and we are also quite keen to watch the drama which was mostly shot in northern areas. However, it was not as smooth as it seems on screen to shoot in the remote areas.

In Mohib's words, "There are a lot of difficulties in shooting in northern areas. While it's quiet and beautiful it's also unpredictable in terms of weather. So everyday you would travel to remote areas (from the hotel) and then you won't know how much and what the weather will allow you to shoot," recalled Mohib of his experience while shooting Deedan.


"But it was fun too you know, specially while delivery dialogues in Pakhtoon accent we had far too many bloopers and laughs, we'll share all those in BTS," he said with a smile.

A directorial of Amin Iqbal, Deedan which is derived from 'deedaar' (to see) is penned down by Attiya Dawood. Along with Mohib and Sanam, the drama cast includes Huma Nawab, Laila Zuberi and Minsa Malik. The drama will be aired by the end of this month.

"I just wanted to make sure that my comeback drama does not portray me in a completely negative light, and this is where I play an absolute loving person. I have put in the best of my efforts and I hope people will like it," Mohib concluded on the note of his hardwork and well wishes for the drama.

So my guess was right.. Mohib plays a positive character !
