I know I for one am put off by osman's jabs at osmaya fandom

I mean people ship couples worldwide offscreen - it's nthing new or novel - in fact many people encourage these fandoms for popularity and just ignore immature comments

^^Maybe Osman thought the shipping craziness was there because of Wali & Faarah and would last for maybe a couple of months after DeD. I don't think he expected people to continue telling him & Maya to get married months after the show got over.

Everything they post or comment on is dissected and looked at in a different light, it surely must be getting to them.

Any other couple in their place would have stopped interacting with each other to stop rumours and there would be a lot of awkwardness between them. Fortunately these two are close friends and usually have a sense of humour about all this stuff but I'm sure it irritates them at times.
