Aisha beta she is asking for islamic date for Haj & it is 9th of Zulhaj, as of your question every year ramzan is not one month less but usually 10 days less because in islamic calender there are 355 days & regular calender there are 365 days after every 3 years its one month less so next year ramdan will be starting on either 13th or 14th of september

baarish79 your ans.
The month of Ramadan is divided into three parts, corresponding to approximately 10 days per part. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) taught us that Ramadan is a month whose "beginning is mercy, its middle is forgiveness, and its ending is liberation from the Hellfire." (Ibn Khuzaymah Vol. 3, Hadith 191).
