Zara was right in trying to move on and put her past behind her. Sanam Baloch - Adeel chemistry really clicked - coming to think of it, they didn't have a lot of scenes together actually! But each scene and dialogue was special.

Subh ka sitara - For me Zeeshan was the best thing about this show. The way he interacted with Maham, his exasperation with Romaisa (just notice his interaction with Romaisa when she is married to Nabeel and then see how different it is after he marries her) - very subtle and nuanced performance from Adeel. I don't know why people say he is expressionless! Zeeshan and Junaid were both decent, sensible guys and Adeel suits such characters 😊

The comedy show are ok-ish from content point of view, but he has a funny bone ( as we saw in the Mahira Khan TUC interview). I am looking forward to Mehreen's Jackson Heights where he plays Jamshed.

I do wish we saw Adeel more, but I like it that he prefers quality more than quantity and tries to do different roles as much as possible, I was told he was very good as an RJ, may be he should do a talk-show type thing?

I agree! Sanam Baloch and Adeel didn't have loads of scenes in Daam..but whenever they did, they really clicked. I personally don't think Adeel has clicked with anyone else as well as he did with Sanam Baloch. Their pairing is indeed underrated. He looks good with Aamina Sheikh and even Sanam Saeed..but for some reason, in my opinion it's not the same.

LOL in Subh Ka Sitara..Maham had more chemistry with Zeeshan as opposed to Romaisa. I loved Adeel's scenes with that little girl - they were adorable. I also feel Adeel was the best part about that show. Both Zeeshan and Junaid were decent, sensible guys and I feel that's probably why I found them a little similar. I feel Adeel's acting is quite nuanced and neutral. I guess each to their own since I don't quite understand the expressionless bit either.. because I personally love Adeel and think he's doing very well for himself. Although I do wish he was acknowledged a little more. He kind of struggled with his emotional scenes in a few shows, but he has really worked on that..and it showed in Shukk and Subh Ka Sitara.

I wish to see him give more interviews! He definitely has a fun side to him..and he comes across as a level headed guy..who speaks with reason. At the same time, he's also chill and composed. By the way, I also feel Adeel has great dialogue delivery. I think it has a lot to do with the way he speaks..he speaks so eloquently. Not to mention, has an amazing voice!

Haha, I think we are two Adeel ki deewanis! I do like his voice, very soothing.

Yes, his chemistry with Sanam B has been the best so far. I think he is really good friends with Aamina and Sanam S, and that shows on-screen. But with Sanam Baloch the chemistry was something else altogether.

I completely agree, I too wish he got more acknowledgement. As for interviews, he mentioned somewhere that the press was shy of him rather than the other way round! He seems to be content with his work and where he is. He comes across as articulate and quite chilled out. I think he comes from a "normal" (non-entertainment/media) family and it shows in his demeanour,

Has to be Daam.. He was very good in it. As for MEJ.. he was bad in emotional scenes (which required him to cry) but otherwise he was fine. In shakk, he was good but the character was messed up and hence his performance could not rise up.

I agree..his demeanor itself speaks volumes.

by the way, have you checked out the pictures for Jackson Heights? I don't know why ..but I feel like Adeel and Aamina don't have much scenes together in the show. I saw Aamina shooting mostly with Noman Ejaz, while Adeel had some pics with Marina..and I see more of Noman in the show than Adeel...makes me wonder if Adeel's role is as important or not.

There's a thread on jackson heights:

Thank you for the link :-) I've left a comment there with the official fb page link of Jackson Heights.

I read a recent interview of Mehreen here: http://www.thefridaytimes.com/tft/how-many-woman-victim-stories-can-you-tell/ and this is what she had to say about Adeel's character: "Adeel Hussain's character comes to the US hoping to make it big" - I don't think Adeel-Aamina have even shot together. I feel Adeel's role might not be that big, but I hope it will be an interesting one, something that stands out.

Here's the link to the candi biscuit ad I mentioned earlier: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wZJH9Z_P0ZQ

CAN I SAY I JUS LUV U FOR MKING THIS POST

i m a new fan of adeel but a diehard and blind one

and i really wanted some place to gush on him but the forum seemed not to hv much adeel fans which kinda disappointed me

but thank god i came across this thread

cuming to the options as to where he gave his best performance

i must say it is a compliment for him that everyone is tking multiple names

coz indeed its very hard to choose

but i came give my preference in order

1. shukk and daam... .i really dont hv words how STUPENDOUSLY he played junaid and ehtesham...i was dumbstruck n speechless at both these performances

2.subh ka sitara...this is the first shw i hv watched of him as i started watching it for mikaal and sanam jung basiscally but badly fell for adeel...i CRAVED for one more epi just to see sum more scns of him n sanam jung...he was even better than meekal in th show...thiis i m saying inspite of being a big mikaal fan myself

3.mata e jaan...i hv heard many comments saying adeel wasnt suitable to play ibad but to b honest i dont think ny 1cud hv played ibad as amazingly as adeel did...

p.s.i jus read here that SARWAT REFUSED TO DO ROMANTIC SCNES...WHAT THE HELL YAAR...SONOT DONE YAAR...SHE WASNT EVEN MARRIED THEN...no wonder they used to stand poles apart in their romantic scns...mehreen jabbar shud hv cast sanam baloch or saba qamar as haina...its MY DREAM TO SEE SABA QAMAR WITH ADEEL

4.jackson heights...on the 2 epis i hv seen so far adeeel has so convincingly showed his desperation to go to usa i m already sold

5.mora piya...whereas i was CRAVING for romantic scenes between adeeln sanamjung in subah ka sitara ...this show had the most beautiful romantic scns of adeel but ALAS he has terrible chemistry with amina...I FEEL LIKE BANGING MY HEAD in the wall when i come to think why the hell he has most of his dramas with amina...why yaar...they cud hv cast ayeza khan mawra urwa sanam jung saba qamar sanam baloch any1 in mora piya but this amina sheikh seems to be everywhere...

nyways even though mora piya wasnt a hit ...ADEEL JUS NAILED THE CHARACTER of faisal...

phew more gushing cuming up

plz keep this thread alive adeel ki deewanis

Daam seems to be the winner...not surprised at all. That show was a class apart. Everything and everyone was brilliant.

^Barring Humsafar, almost all the shows I recommend to newbies have been written by Umera. She's easily the best thing that's happened to Pakistan TV and while everyone acknowledges her brilliance I feel not enough credit is given to her.
