He went a tad overboard in Mera Naseeb and Mora Piya, while underacted in some portions of Mata-e-Jaan. I really really liked him in Daam as well as Silvatein so I'll say both. He was good in Jiya na Jaye as well. Haven't seen his work in Shukk or Muhabbat nor do I intend to despite the good reviews.
I'd say Silvatein for me. That drama had potential and I only watched it for Adeel and Aamina anyway. They gave amazing performances.

Adeel is very talented and even in a not-so-good drama, he can still shine (like he did in Subh ka sitara!). His role in Daam was very impactful and it's my favourite because his chemistry with Sanam Baloch was great :-) I also liked his Aabi (MeJaan), but Sarwat ruined it for me, as there was no chemistry between them :-( So Daam for me.

My favorite performance of Adeel's is by far Junaid from Daam.
Junaid was something else. The character was perhaps his best etched character and Adeel played it beautifully. I also think that it was his sincerest performance. Daam made Aamina, Sanam B and Adeel stars. The sincere conviction they put into their performances really shows. Also, despite Daam being Adeel's first big break, I hardly found any flaw in his portrayal of Junaid. It was close to flawless. Meanwhile, in some of his performances thereafter such as Mora Piya..I wasn't entirely convinced. Even as Ibaad..Adeel was brilliant in some parts and a little meh in others. However, in Shukk and Subh Ka Sitara, you see a tremendously improved Adeel. I think he was amazing as Zeeshan in Subh Ka Sitara..I liked his character and performance slightly more than Mikaal's..However the show overall had room for improvement which doesn't help. Then, he was great as Shaam in terms of acting..however, Shaam went from a brilliantly written character to someone screwed up in the head..so there goes Shaam from Shukk..nonetheless, they both were genuinely good performances..but, Daam not only had a great performance..Junaid was just an amazingly written character as well. His chemistry with Sanam Baloch only made it better. Everything else he did in between was good but nothing memorable in my opinion.

I remember seeing an interview of Adeel's from last year when he was promoting Silvatein..where he mentioned how till this day people come running up to him saying Junaid, Junaid!..we loved you as Junaid etc. He also holds Daam in a league of its own and never fails to acknowledge that show..it's as if he knows that it made him who he is today...which is very true.

Yep, Daam was very impactful..Every character made a mark whether it was Zara, Maliha or Junaid..which makes them all memorable.

I liked Adeel more than I liked Sarwat in MeJ. Adeel was a good Ibaad..even though his performance had room for improvement in some scenes..he had it in him to portray Ibaad.. ..but then there was zilch chemistry between Sarwat and Adeel..which wasn't helping. Though, I must admit..I liked Ibaad. He was an endearing character. Perhaps my favorite character from whatever work of Farhat Ishtiaq's I have seen thus far.

I haven't read MeJaan novel, but I thought Adeel made an endearing Aabi. I read somewhere that Sarwat got all the romantic bits cut off as she was uncomfortable doing those scenes? The lack of chemistry spoilt the impact of the love story. Wish I could read the novel (can't read urdu :-(.

Daam was a success story all round, even side characters (like Zara's younger sister) remain memorable. Just wish Zara hadn't ended up with Humayun Saeed :-(

Have you seen some of Adeel's comedies like Canteen kahani, golimaar? It's more slapstick, but he's good in them too :-) Unfortunately only some videos are available on youtube of these shows...

I also loved the most recent Candi biscuits ad of Adeel's (with Hamza Ali Abbasi), it's superb.

PS - Thanks for giving me a chance to gush about Adeel :-)
