Hey guys,
I m new to this forum and want to just blurt out a question I wanted to ask from quite a long time!!
Okay, so here almost everyone must be fawad or mahira's fan owing to such mind-blowing actors they are. However now when fawad has signed a bollywood movie getting the oportunity to represent pakistan and it's entertainment industry then why suddenly everyone has got so negative about him??
I mean I too am a pakistani and am completely proud about the fact that the indians will get to know that such gems belong to pakistan like fawad and many other personalities. But all I get to read is "fawad will insult our country", "he will now do cheap movies and roles" and "we pakistanis now hate him" and all. I mean guys see you should have a little belief in him that what he did in pakistan garnered such fame and success for pakistani media so what he is going to do in Bollywood will bring good name and fame for pakistan only.
I am not saying that all ypu guys are bad mouthing him but wherever
i read these articles about fawad signing a movie i only come across comments using foul language for fawad abd saying such things!!
I love fawad and his acting and have belief in him that what he will do will bring good name only. 😊
Hoping for a healthy conversation and truly no offence intended. 😃

I don't think there's anything wrong with him acting in Indian films. I'm just annoyed he's choosing to act in such crap projects. He hasn't done a single good role since Humsafar.

Numm is crap. ZGH was decent but his character was just Ashar mark 2. Ashk was terrible. Khoobsurat - even if it turns out to be a decent film, all Fawad will be doing is playing another version of Ashar, yet again.

I think he's overrated. His only good projects so far have been Dastaan and Humsafar. He hasn't shown any versatility, any commendable acting skills. He's average. He could be brilliant if he actually bothered to choose quality roles, but he's not.

My problem with him isn't that he's doing a Indian film, it's that he's doing a film which will have him playing yet another broody romantic hero, who ultimately plays second fiddle to the female lead. It's boring and repetitive and just reaffirms my belief that he's a very average actor, whose comfortable fitting a stereotype.

If he did a film (Indian/Pakistani- whatever) or a serial that has a strong script, and has him playing a character with some substance, I'd look forward to it. But he's not so I just think this whole thing, like most of his other projects is stupid.

It's nothing to do with him doing an Indian film, it's to do with him doing crap projects. When Ali Zafar signed on for Tere Bin Laden I was supporting him because it was an excellent project, when he did Chashme Badoor I stopped supporting him because he started choosing stupid films.

On a side note, it really annoys me when Pakistani actors harp on about how they never want to do Indian films, and then do Indian films. Come on guys have some dignity, keep your mouths zipped on this matter because if your concerned enough to talk about the possibility of Indian films it's pretty likely you want to and will do an Indian film (I'm thinking of people like Ahsan Khan, Fawad Khan, etc.).

It's just that Bollywood is already ahead of our industry and has more celebs. If the only popular and talented celebs we have also go to Bollywood, our industry would never improve.😳

he's a hottie, hands down, which is why everyone is googoo gaga over him..
and the guy does have personality and a charm when you see him in talkshows, and when you see him in romantic roles..

that being said, like someone said above, he hasn't shown much versatility.. he's so far been doing pretty easy roles.. which to me shows he might be bit overrated.. so that might be the reason for some of the recent "negativity"..

as for signing up for bollywood: i for one was not at all happy with the news.. and the reason for that is the fact that there is a medium in which many people click.. fawad looks good in dramas! bollywood is an altogether different field, where most drama actors just do not click.. unless they pick some real unique projects, like ali zafar did with tere bin ladin, and those kind of projects are pretty hard to come by in bollywood..

in the past most pak drama actors who have gone to bollywood have flopped.. fawad might click, he might not.. but end of the day i am not a big fan of recent bollywood, and i would rather see him in meaningful pakistani dramas..

i do not like how many actors seem to use dramas as a step towards bollywood/movies... i am not saying fawad believes that.. but in general this is the way i feel drama industry is seen..pak drama industry has excelled a lot in these past years, coming to international awareness, and if these actors use the dramas to get into bollywood, then how do we keep the pak drama industry going?

as for representing pakistan: best way to represent pak is by representing pakistani culture, its dramas, its movies.. not acting in bollywood movies.. let's be honest, all these actors who go to bollywood, go for money.. not to represent pak culture.

You are right to an extent but let's not jump the gun before anything comes forward.Plus ZGH wasn't totally another asher, probably he signed it because the naughtiness and the mischievous element his character had and that what mostly clicked with the audience.
Khoobsurat looks a promising movie where he might have been doing another romantic hero but at least in a different or a new way.We shouldn't be judging him before anything comes out at least.😳
Moreover, that doesn't mean that he would start doing cheap roles that everyone is ranting about.

See, now you are taking it the wrong way, if the money factor had been the case then every pakistani actor would have been quite desperate to sign a bollywood movie even for 1 lakh rupees as in the case of veena malik. But that certainly not has been the case.In fact, as far as I know fawad kept on rejecting many bollywood offers that came his way during hamsafar and ZGH making pakistani dramas as his first priority.
We all supported ali zafar for tere bin laden due to the movie it was so who knows khoobsurat might also come by as one such project. I m not saying it would be completely like tere bin laden, both of them are completely different stories ofcourse, but I for once am sure that it won't be like the sterotypical bollywood movies that are shown nowadays!
On a side note, who said that fawad will now do bollywood only? He liked a role, he liked the script that's why he is doing the movie. That doesn't mean that he would now work for bollywood only.
