well, that's your opinion once again..but in my opinion you're exaggerating by calling Mikaal ugly. If Mikaal was that ugly, he would have never gotten the role of Salman Ansar. Salman Ansar isn't portrayed the way you're portraying him - ugly.

that is what I am thinking, if the guy was good-looking, maybe the arrogance would had made a lot more sense!

For me she is The best writer in Pakistan with shows like Qet, Maat ,MZZBN, Doraha and Daam to her credit also she is the top novel writer.

agreed.

Umera Ahmed writes more about women & the problems they deal with. One has to understand where Umera Ahmed comes from to understand any of her work.

sure she is writing about women, but i think a lot of people do not realise that inspite of that some views are sexist, make any non-desi watch durr-e-shehwar and u will know what I mean!

once again, Nikki... I reallyyy think you're over exaggerating with the looks part because ugly is a very strong word here. 😆

but anyway, there's more to arrogance than mere looks.

Ya Naveen could have been a good option only thing holding that back maybe would have been the beauty element otherwise she would have done well too but i am satisfied with Mahira as of now as this is her first time doing such a character
But even Naveen falls flat in Annie ki ayegi Baraat so does Fawad in Ashk ...maybe we have very high expectations from people like Fawad,Naveen ,Mahira , Sanam , Mikaal etc that anything not upto the level of their previous shows and we start complaining.
But honestly we need more actors , i even thing some of the side characters in this drama are doing well like Maryam, Rushna and Farhan these lot should also be given a chance even Arij in Mahi Ayega ...i am liking her alot

make any non desi watch Shehr e Zaat or Humsafar and they wouldn't understand a lot of things within these stories either..merely because desis have a different way of living & dealing with their issues as opposed to non-desis. If Umera Ahmed wrote Durre Shahwar based upon a non desi woman's life..I'd see your point, but not here.

I do not think I am, people call srk ugly too, according to me though his superb acting, and his fit body makes him look quite good, in this case the fatness of mikaal is quite a draw back!

yeh so basically her novels are not brave enough to end the stereotypes, at least that is what they showed in the show, they promoted the fact that it is only the women who should sacrifice and lose her self-respect, I totally disagree, I am also desi, however I will never promote such thoughts

I don't really watch Annie Ki Ayegi Baraat..I only watch it sometimes because of Hina & Bushra Ansari. 😆

I have yet to watch Ashk though...yeah you're right..I think we expect way too much from all these actors after they deliver hits. & yes I agree..we do need more actors.

also, I think Fahad Mustafa needs to do more dramas now. I honestly miss the guy...he hasn't done a drama for Hum since MAQH or so which has been a yr back. 😕
