Pat - I usually make my Pasta dishes with the help of Knorr Pasta Sauce mix. They come out pretty tasty. But I've never ever tried making my own Pasta sauce mix. Will try to make pesto sauce with your recipe, when I get all the fresh ingredients.
The lemon grass you mentioned earlier, does that come in dried form or fresh in the Asian super market?
