Guys, my sincere apologies if you don't understand my recipe. Feel free to ask if you have any doubts.

My problem is I am doing this during my office hour and so I am writing in speed, hence i can go haywire. Sorry. 😳

😉This recipe was given to me by Akka Ammini Ramachandran.
Picture will follow.

SAMBAR SAATHAM
cup rice

Kavitha

How many cups of rice?

Do we use cooked rice or uncooked rice?

From the pic, I can see it is onion accompaniment. How do you do that

Lastly who is Akka Ammini R?

Thanks

Dear Caryn, 1 cup means the measuring cup.
its about 200 grms.
Its raw rice, Caryn please read the recipe carefully.
You have to add the rice when the dal is cooked.
Caryn do not hesitate to ask me if you do not understand anything.

Ammini Akka is my dear friend who lives in U.S.A.

As for the onions, this is often cooked in my house.
Chop the big onions. Pour little oil in a wok. Add little mustard seeds and curry leaves.
Then add the onions and stir fry for a second..To remove the raw smell.
Add salt and remove from fire. When it is completely cold, add thick curds. ONION RAITA.

Sorry I do not have a single picture of puli curry.
The pumpkin puli curry is next to the ridge gourd dal kuttu.

Kavitha, you are making me hungry girl. It is almost lunch time here and after seeing the plate full of food, my stomach is grumbling! Pure torture ma - especially when I did not bring any food from home today. 😭

Got to go out and buy something.

One question - What dish is in the middle - looks like meal maker to me.
