Hi everyone,

Music and books have been my sole companions through much of the voyage on this ship called life.My solitude is mostly filled with songs of my own soul and thoughts which stem from them. But i have also spent most of my life with music from old hindi and old tamil movies.I do enjoy beats and peppy songs but i largely reserve my passions and solitude to slow, melodious and meaningful lyric filled songs.

I am posting this song from the malayalam film amar akbar anthony in which a small girl called baby shreya has sung her first song.

Listen to it and wonder at this childs talent and without being shy about it let me agree that my eyes filled with happy tears as i heard this young soul sing from the place and that place is where he,she or whoever is called god dwells.

Chapter 15

The soul, the mind, our memory is but just a vessel.A container to contain,to hold love, hate and revenge. If it contains love then hate takes a backseat and generally we carry on as love begets more love. But if hate and vengeance fills our soul then love cannot reside there,at least pure love cannot reside there. But of course there are many sides to these words as there are many shades to the colors of love and hate. Then there is lust which rears its head masking iself as love egged on by chemicals, hormones and the urge for procreation. What one feels for one is love and what one feels the same way for many others can be,well loosely termed as lust. And yet some nurse love in the quiet of their minds and live on and pass on without ever revealing it to the other for the other is in love with another. So you see,the game plays on and we are forced to play on.But in the end love, real love is not about sex but about sacrifice, respect, priority, responsibility, gratitude, loyalty and so many other virtues.Real love is about sacrificing your needs so that the other will live on in peace and happiness. This love, this very love which i am talking about has brought man to the 21st century and raised him on a pedestal as master of his domain and lord of all that he surveys.Cryptic, enigmatic and confusing words you might think on first glance but read them again and again and you will see what i wanted you to see.

"I want to see you.
Know your voice.
Recognize you when you
first come 'round the corner.
Sense your scent when I come
into a room you've just left.
Know the lift of your heel,
the glide of your foot.
Become familiar with the way
you purse your lips
then let them part,
just the slightest bit,
when I lean in to your space
and kiss you.
I want to know the joy
of how you whisper "more" ? Rumi

Action,Reaction

"To learn to see- to accustom the eye to calmness, to patience, and to allow things to come up to it; to defer judgment, and to acquire the habit of approaching and grasping an individual case from all sides. This is the first preparatory schooling of intellectuality. One must not respond immediately to a stimulus; one must acquire a command of the obstructing and isolating instincts." Friedrich Nietzsche

All that you see,all that you feel, all that want, all that you hate, all that you love and all i mean that makes up you lies in a few pounds of white jelly like mass called the brain, that lies inside a bony, hard skull. It is a super computer that begins its voyage on the 5th week of pregnancy and stops working only in the event of death.

All our decisions, all the judgements come from the brain and only the brain to which all data is fed via, eyes, ears, nose and touch. But then at some point we realise that listening to your heart, warnings from primitive instincts dont work well at all times.for we tell our brain to evolve and we learn,we teach ourselves to read the decisions again and again and see if it will work or not.So always, always stop, slow down and think it through.

Renu and rudran sat in her bedroom each lost in their own thoughts. Her thoughts were about him and her gratitude for his actions and his thoughts were about getting back to the dining hall for he felt it was not good manners to be in a ladys room and one who was still a stranger to him.

Rudran " i happened to meet your dad earlier in the evening and he was kind enough to invite me and my friend Balaraman for dinner. But a few minutes after we arrived here,he took me aside and made this cryptic request of coming and saying hi to you.well,i myself wanted to see how you were doing and that is how you found me standing outside your bedroom door."

Renuka's left eyebrow arched as if enquiring and rudran seeing the question " well,i had to meet him regarding this case and to make a request and that is all i can tell you about it."

Renu whispered " You said something to me about not telling anybody who you were. But you are here.Why."

Rudran looked at her and shrugged his shoulders " right and that request still stands. But you realise that your dads immense power can work miracles that can be a bit of a mountain to climb, even for me."

Renuka's curiosity was now totally aroused " who are you and what do you do for a living."

The man who sat humbly and who had the air about him as a perfect gentleman suddenly shifted and renu saw something change in his posture and more importantly in his eyes.

" I am a police officer who just happened to be in the right place at the right moment and well now here we all are."

Renu's eyes filled with tears " cop.you are a policeman.wow, our luck that you were there for i even dread to think what could have transpired and how our lives would have ended if you had not been there."

Rudran was at a loss for words " ma'am,please stop hurting yourself with what happened.Rest and recover and get back on your feet.I will leave now an i just have one request and that is,try joining us for dinner if it is possible, for i am sure it will make your people very happy. All the best."

He stood up and slowly walked out of the room and renu was left with so much to say and so much to ask of him.

"The Keeper Of The Stars"

It was no accident me finding you
Someone had a hand in it
Long before we ever knew
Now I just can't believe you're in my life
Heaven's smilin' down on me
As I look at you tonight

I tip my hat to the keeper of the stars
He sure knew what he was doin'
When he joined these two hearts
I hold everything
When I hold you in my arms
I've got all I'll ever need
Thanks to the keeper of the stars

Piano

I am sure of it,damn sure of the fact that i must have been involved with music in one of my previous births.I would like to think so for nothing other than you know,a few physical experiences has given me so much joy, again and again.

Maybe like me,you all too enjoy, love and appreciate the music that flows from the piano and also experience heaven on earth as the pianist makes love to it with his fingers and soul.

Some of my favourite pianists are beethoven, yanni, richard clayderman, satie, brian crain, yiruma and a few more.

Here i am adding a few links to some great piano pieces.Listen to this while you are still, while you are dreaming, while you stand near the window and watch the world outside or like me listen to these compositions while walking barefoot on grass crowned with dew that shine like diamonds or walking barefoot near the shore as waves play catch me if you can.

I want to take this moment and wish you all and your families a very happy diwali.

Remember as always, that love is the answer.I thank you all for the likes to my amateur writings and random meanderings.

Maybe, someday my soul will rise to greater heights and write something really substantial and worthy of your time.

Hi all,
I want to wish you all and your families a very happy diwali. The festival of lights is not just for hindus and it is not just a day where we burst crackers, wear new clothes and generally celebrate. It is a day meant for all of us to understand that good always triumphs over evil and that right is the true might.
Forget caste, creed and color and remember and embrace the thought that we all evolved from the light, the power of the sun and it shines for all of us.We all live under the same sun,on one tiny planet and we all,in each of us have the power to change the destiny of ourselves and this planet for the better.

I wish you all a great day and a great life.Lots of love.Be well.

Redemption-chapter 16

"But how?" my students ask. "How do you actually do it?"
You sit down, I say. You try to sit down at approximately the same time every day. This is how you train your unconscious to kick in for you creatively. So you sit down at, say, nine every morning, or ten every night. You put a piece of paper in the typewriter, or you turn on the computer and bring up the right file, and then you stare at it for an hour or so. You begin rocking, just a little at first, and then like a huge autistic child. You look at the ceiling, and over at the clock, yawn, and stare at the paper again. Then, with your fingers poised on the keyboard, you squint at an image that is forming in your mind -- a scene, a locale, a character, whatever -- and you try to quiet your mind so you can hear what that landscape or character has to say above the other voices in your mind." ? Anne Lamott, Bird by Bird: Some Instructions on Writing and Life

Time and Tide

Rudran shut the door to renukas room softly behind him and walked towards the dining hall where Balaraman and kandaswamy mudaliyar and Anuradha waited for him.He slipped into his chair and gave them all a reassuring smile and stared at the expensive linen cloth that wrapped the even more expensive dining table.

Rudran " sir, this house is as big as a castle and yet this dining table seats only six."

Kandaswamy mudaliyar smiled and nodded approvingly " well mr.rudran,it is for a reason that this table seats only six and that is because my entire family and close friends dont amount to much more than that. But for your information this is not the house most visitors see for there is another part of this house which has been specifically designed to wine and dine dignitaries and high profile visitors."

Kandaswamy mudaliyar slowly looked at Anuradha and then at rudran " Renu, how is she doing ? Do you think she is going to join us or do you think we should proceed without her ?"

Rudran looked at renu's dad " I am not sure what she is going to do.She looks very tired and it is probably best for her to rest rather than join us for dinner."

Kandaswamy nodded with a heavy heart and then glanced at a man who stood far away and who also happened to be the one who managed all the activities of the house. He understood immediately and hurried off and soon half a dozen men came in and placed plates and well, dinner was served.

But just as they were about to start eating Renuka joined them at the table and gently smiled at everybody. There are times, certain moments when silence need to rule and when silence is left to its designs and this was such a moment.

Rudran, always the perfect gentleman stood up as renuka joined them at the table and balaraman his mouth full of some exotic sea food soup hurriedly stood up and waited for renu to take her seat.

Rudran " Miss renuka, this is my very dear friend Balaraman who also happens to be a police officer. But unlike me he is posted here in chennai."

Renuka smiled and said " hello sir.I think i saw you at the mall and also at the hospital."

The mere hint of the trauma and the tragedy that had affected the women made the silence heavier and the air was thick with it.But the ringtone of rudran's mobile broke the uneasy silence, who hurriedly stood up and looked at everybody " my apologies, but i have to take this call. Please continue and i will be back in a few minutes."

Saying this rudran walked quickly saying hello as he headed towards a lawn that lay outside the dining hall area.

Everyone stared at him and all eyes watched him as he disappeared out of their sight.

Renu looked at balaraman " mr.balaraman, how do you know mr.rudran ?"

Balaraman " well ma'am,we both are Ips officers and trained together in the hyderabad police academy.I got posted here in chennai and he was posted in delhi. But we are in constant touch with each other."

Renuka nodded " Is he always like this ? Quiet, calm and a man of very few words."

Renuka's question although abrupt in nature aroused the same in the other two and all three looked at Balaraman
who nodded yes.

" Rudy as we used to call rudran spoke very little and yet his presence always filled our company. At first we thought he was a snob for he aced all the examinations and topped us all at the training and practicals. But he was not a snob or arrogant and he was just rudy and that means like you described a man of very few words. But put him in a situtation where it means action and rapid fire brain work, then he always excelled at them.I and the rest of us,used to be really jealous of his prowess but we could never doubt his soul and integrity for he always put everything else and everyone else before him.I stopped trying to decipher him long ago and learned to accept him for what he is."

Outside rudran " Yes patel, bolo, kya news."

Patel " saab,it is as you predicted.About five of Murky's people have left to chennai and i don't have to tell you what that means.they have just boarded the flight and will be there in a couple of hours. What do you want us to do ?"

Rudran thought for just one second " patel, don't do anything for it will alert them and if that murky is as smart as i think he is,i am sure that he will know that we have been monitoring him.Let his men come and we will react to their actions and make our moves as they make theirs. But for now just stay calm and go about work as usual.Everyone in our department knows that i am on leave and that i have come to chennai to see my mother who is ailing so i guess news would have travelled and those that want and need to know about my movements will not think i am doing anything suspicious or moving against them.Just keep me posted and updated about everything that is happening in delhi.bye."

Rudran ended the call and his mind placed the situation on an imaginary battlefield and he knew that if anybody wanted to hurt him then they would move against people who were close to him and that would be his mother and in the worst case scenario his close friends and that could only mean Balaraman and probably Babu his man friday who had been with his family for decades.

Not one to take risks or put anyone else in harm's way he called home and babu answered " Babu listen carefully. There are some very bad people who might be coming for me and i think that you and amma might be targeted just to hurt me.So,i am going to call our family doctor krishna kumar and have amma shifted to Global hospitals where he is consultant in cardiology. The ambulance will be there shortly and i want you to go along with her and stay with her until i come. They have fantastic rooms there, which are even better and more luxurious than our home and i doubt if amma will know the difference.Call me when you reach there, okay."

Rudran then hurriedly made a call to MR.krishna kumar who had been their family doctor for nearly twenty years and explained the situation and also specifically told him that money was not the issue here but safety and care. The doctor said he would get it done and that he would send an ambulance immediately to pick up rudrans mother.

" Is everything all right."

Rudran hurriedly turned around and saw Renuka standing there " I am sorry but i didn't mean to startle you.Is your mother okay for i heard you talking to your doctor."

Rudran " she is okay.just a regular check up.I am sorry but i need to talk to Balaraman. Please don't think of me as being rude for not being able to talk more.My apologies."

Saying this rudran rushed off towards the dining area and renu stood watching him go.

Rudran entered the house and with just one look at his face balaraman knew that something was wrong.

Rudran looked at kandaswamy mudaliyar and anuradha and said that they had to leave for it was an emergency and apologised for their abrupt leaving.

Kandaswamy mudaliyar smiled and said he understood and wiping his hands got up to see them both off.Balaraman rushed off towards the car and as rudran was walking with kandaswamy mudaliyar he whispered " sir,i am pretty sure that your security must be really good. But for the next few days increase the level of security around you and your family members. It is just a precaution but i dont want you or your family to be at any kind of risk."

Kandaswamy mudaliyar smiled " That shouldn't be a problem and i will call mr.shanmugasundaram and tell him about your advice.may i know what the problem is."

Rudran " sir, i feel very embarrassed to say it but i am the problem.there are some people who don't like me and i think they might be coming here to chennai to get to me.these are very dangerous people and there is no telling what their plans could be.With our meetings and now this dinner, there is a slim chance that their eyes could fall upon you and your family."

Kandaswamy mudaliyar laughed loudly " Rudran,do you know what all sorts of people and characters i have had to meet and tackle to get where me and my company are today.Don't worry about me and my family.Just go do what you have to do and let us meet again in more pleasant circumstances."

Rudran and kandaswamy mudaliyar shook hands and rudran got into the car and they drove off.

Balaraman looked at rudran " is it the delhi situation ?"

Rudran nodded yes " are you carrying your handgun like i told you to do."

Balaraman " yes,it is right there in the dashboard."

Rudran opened the dashboard and took out the handgun and removed the clip of ammunition and checked to see how well it functioned. The Weapon was well oiled and maintained in perfect condition and rudran placed it back in the dashboard, somewhat reassured.

Rudran looked at balaraman " bala,i want you to arrange for a team of three or four to watch over my mother while she is in the hospital.Let them work in 8 hour shifts,so that they don't get tired and i will call my doctor and have them cleared to be in the hospital.I think i will need a week or so to sort this problem out and for that reason i am planning to disappear of the radar and i will be in touch only with you.now tell me your acct no so that i can transfer funds into it so that you can handle all the financial details."

Balaraman told him his acct no and the banks ifsc code and rudran with just a few touches on his I phone transferred a few lakhs into balaramans acct from his ICICI BANK acct.

They drove into the darkness of the night and a even darker nemesis descended from the skies into chennai via the indigo flight from delhi

CELEBRATION

Sweets, new clothes, great food and maybe a film if we are lucky and me and my cousins were always lucky for invariably we got to see a film on diwali day.It all seems so long ago and yet the memories linger.A day or two before diwali my uncle who had then shifted his hotel business to bangalore would fly down to chennai and late that evening he would come home with a huge wooden carton full of crackers.Me and bujju aka pradeep were the only male kids among my many cousin sisters although there were other cousin brothers, who were ten and twenty years older than us.

Pradeep and me would bring the roof down seeing the crackers and as for me i hardly slept a wink and could not wait for dawn to come so that we could have our usual head bath, wear new clothes and rush off to burst crackers. But everything was not smooth sailing or filled with happy moments for the previous day evening me and the other kiddies bindu and mammu were hunted down like the corporation men hunt dogs and were marched to the back off the house and stripped down and warm oil was poured on our heads and rubbed all over our bodies.
My mind and mouth even then spewed bad words that would make satan's ears bleed and brought some relief to my raging soul.

This oil torture in the name of health and good skin was administered by my grand mom and my aunts and sometimes my older cousin sisters aruna or asha.Imagine covered in oil and wearing nothing but a faded underwear and seated in a row as laughing buddhas while the old copper boiler with coal under its rump doing its best to deliver hot water with the even older grandmom of ours messing with it.Well me and bujju put some anu gundus and lakshmi vedis early on diwali day and as expected grandmom was trying to remove the ash and old coal when the crackers went off. There was pin drop silence and then sounds louder and curse words worse than mine spewed from my grandmoms gob and well i finally knew from whom i had descended and who all were my ancestors. But my wicked mind only wondered why she was cursing so and including our forefathers when they were hers too.Never could get the proper explanation from her and now it is fourteen years too late.

To add to my misery,i was the first one to get oiled and always the last one to have a bath for i was the oldest, well oldest by one,two and three years.I used to think that my aunts and grand mom sat and thought of ways to torture us a few weeks before diwali and then executed their evil plans.

Like i said it has been 14 years since grand mom passed away and it has been 25 years since i left home and i have not burst crackers since then. Now more than ever i realise how polluting they are and what a sheer waste of money it is and then add to it the competition of 1000 wala,10,000 wala and now 50,000 wala and the games rich people play on roads and rooftops.

As the years are being added to my account i realise that it is cruel to flaunt our riches when so many have so little. Now more than ever as i wrote in my earlier post i realise that festivals, especially diwali which is the festival of lights means the light in our soul, the power to light others soul who are suffering and who are in the dark.No 50,000 wala will compare to the joy when you donate food and money to orphange's and not even the sun will compare to your light when you lie and donate blood and know that it will bring life to many other lives.

We came naked and in the end we go naked carrying nothing but our smelly, decomposing bodies. So not just money, not just old clothes, not just blood but a simple smile will go a mile to bring light into others who need them.

The curses i delivered to my grand mom as she poured hot oil on my head and rubbed into my scalp and then rubbed oil into my skin and limbs have now changed to whispers of thanks and prayers for her long gone soul.

I rise now,i rise everyday knowing that i am a part of this universe,i am a link in this chain called life and i rise now realising that i need to put back, give back what love and protection that this earth has given me.

I started donating blood in 1986 and i have continued to this year and i urge all of you who read this to donate blood at least once a year.

We are different in birth, different in living but the same in death for the words ashes to ashes and dust to dust applies to all life including the mighty sun and even mightier stars and galaxies.

REDEMPTION CHAPTER 17

"I know what I'm capable of; I am a soldier now, a warrior. I am someone to fear, not hunt." ? Pittacus Lore, The Rise of Nine

Deep inside in the darkness of their mothers womb,he kicked and found the other next to him.In the coming months there was many a time when he reached out and the other reached for him too. Thus the bond began with their beginnings of life.Their heartbeats sounded as one and when he panicked the other touched him and held his fingers as if to say " I am here, always will be here and will never let you go." Even when he went towards light as the first one his hand held the other one's hand as if to say dont worry i am waiting for you, come quickly. When they were born they did not cry as much as normal children and cried only when they were separated and that was because their mother had to feed them.Soon she learnt to feed them both at the same time and that put an end to their screams and protests when they were separated.Lying in the crib he bore it even when the younger kicked and tormented him and always remained quiet.Bhairav never left rudran for he remained in him buried deep in his psyche. What transpired between them when they were in the womb and what transferred between them only time would tell. But one day the other would rise as not one but two for he was never alone and the other had stayed behind having sworn to protect and defend the younger even as his heart started its beat.and even the beat whispered and matched the younger ones beat.

MASTER OF WAR

Determination that is incorruptible
From the other side, a terror to behold
Annihilation will be unavoidable
Every broken enemy will know
That their opponent had to be invincible
Take a last look around while you're alive
I'm indestructible
I am the Master of war

Indestructible song lyrics by DISTURBED

ACP Balaraman drove as fast as he could towards rudran's house for his friend wanted to pick up his own weapon and collect some stuff before he dropped out of sight.

Bala was not worried and yet he wondered if rudran was taking on more than he could tackle. He had personally seen rudran in action and knew that what he and the world saw or had seen was just the tip of his prowess and capabilities.

Balaraman " Rudy, listen to me without getting irritated.I know how territorial you get when it comes to your problems but there are already three of those criminals behind us and five more will be landing in chennai any moment. It is not too late for we can still go and meet the police commissioner and lay the facts before him.Trust me for he is a good man and an honest cop.If he knows that a police officer was the one who attacked those kidnappers and rescued the girls,he will really appreciate you and then extend protection against these attackers who are coming for you."

Rudran shook his head " Thanks bala, but no, for this is something which i need to take care of myself.I know you must be worried by the numbers and dont panic if i tell you that these a...s from delhi will be taking help from some local gangster who might send his own men along with them.so eight might just become sixteen or more which will only make it interesting for me.My only worry is you and your family for the spotlight on me has just fallen on you too."

Balaraman " Rudran,we stay in the officers quarters which is heavily protected and patrolled and it will take a small army to enter and attack and exit safely.I will inform my wife not to go out and order everything via the telephone. As for me i will be in my official vehicle with two constables and coming to think of it,you think these criminals will be stupid enough to attack a senior police officer in tamilnadu. No,i think they will reserve all their attention on me.so tell me what is your plan ? "

Rudran was about to reply when his mobile rang " yes babu.so you are safely inside the hospital.yes, those men are there to give security for amma and you.Okay, stay in touch and i might drop in later in the night."

Rudran was about to put his phone in silent mode when it announced another caller with his favourite kishore kumar song "Khilte hain gul yahaan, khil ke bikharane ko,Milte hain dil yahaan, mil ke bichhadane ko
Khilte hain gul yahaan..."

Rudran " ha patel,kya hua."

Patel " saab,we have lost murky. We had three teams tailing him but the rat somehow gave us the slip.abhi kya karna hai boss."

Rudran was silent for a second " kuch nahi.just keep watching all his hideouts and his men.I will call you if i have any further instructions.Suno patel, you might not be able to reach me for a day or two.so don't panic for i will call you once in six hours. But sms me anything that is important and dont wait for me to call you.email the message also for if i am not able to switch on the mobile for fear of it being traced then i can check my mail for info from you.okay."

Patel knew what his boss was up to " boss,it is not fair.you are getting into action without us joining in for the fun.not fair boss.please why dont you wait for me and the team can be there in a few hours."

Rudran smiled " thanks patel.but no and i repeat just follow my orders and keep all this to yourself and dont discuss it with the rest of the team."

As the car reached rudran's house he asked bala to slow down and then both got down and shook hands and Acp balaraman left as if the situation was normal and yet his mind was totally worried wondering if his friend would be safe.

Rudran used his key and entered the house and one of the three men who had followed him from delhi made a call and whispered " boss,he is back home. No,i think his mother developed some heart problem and she has been shifted to the hospital and that old man who is called babu has gone along with her.He is here all alone.Okay,we will wait for the others to join. All right."

Rudran had opened the door to his house and entered but he had stayed inside for just a few minutes. In that time he grabbed a small shoulder bag and had removed the formal clothes he was wearing and had slipped into black jeans and a black tee which covered his arms too.He attached the holster into his leather belt and let the tee fall over it and then wore a thin leather jacket, more to conceal the handgun than for protection from the weather which was pleasant when compared to the freezing temperatures of delhi in december.

He slipped his carbon stainless steel ka bar knife into its holster and attached it to the belt in the small of his back. Finally he slipped on the rib-knit three-hole balaclava which covered his face but for the eyes and mouth which his Israeli trainer had gifted him along with the ka-bar knife and switched off all the lights but for the one in his bedroom.

Slipping into the darkness of his house he crouched and slowly peeped from the window and his eagle eyes missed nothing. His mind worked overtime as a GPS locater and fixed the three who had been following him.His eyes then took in the location of the private security men who had been hired to follow them and fixed their locations too.

He closed his eyes for a second and ran the whole scenario and movements in his mind and what he was going to do.

The voice from the womb whispered " rudra, careful da.stay behind me.always stay behind me."

Lying prone on the floor he crawled towards the rear entrance and swiftly opening it exited the house and then using his mobile remotely activated the house alarm which was now armed and ready.

He scaled the eight foot wall like a leopard and jumped lightly into the neighbours compound and raced through five house compounds and still hugging the darkness raced across the road and entered the opposite of his house and then raced through the houses and took position in the house facing his house.thankfully the occupants of the house were old and had gone to sleep.

His Rolex Submariner Black Dial Stainless Steel Automatic danced and the limbs aligned themselves at 11 and 12 and the time stood at 11.00 p.m and Rudran moved.

His body measured nearly 6ft and 1 inch and it weighed a perfect 85 kilos and there was not an ounce of spare flesh on his body.He moved with all the training his peers had instilled in him.He moved with the grace of a leopard that genetics had blessed him with. But then he moved with the anger that he had carried from childhood and for a second he closed his eyes and somewhere deep in his brain a memory flickered and flared and he thought he sensed a connection that had been forged in the beginning.Against this cold, determined and perfect natural born killer designed and then further honed by training what could make a stand or withstand the onslaught, surely not some overweight bullies from delhi.

Rudran moved and came out of the darkness and in twenty seconds all three lay dead on the floor. He stopped just to pick up their mobiles and then vanished into the darkness and sped across compounds and soon was back in his house.

Rudran had come out of the darkness and had shoved the knife into the back portion of the neck of the one closest to him and removing the knife had immediately shoved it into the rib cage puncturing the lung which was not needed for the mad had already died from the stab to his neck.the other two had swiftly turned but rudran held the knife out and swept it across the neck of the closest one disabling him and he had collapsed to the ground holding his bleeding throat and rudran had reversed and had stabbed the last one in his stomach and one slash across the throat and had then turned to the one lying in the floor holding his throat and had shoved it into the left of his rib cage piercing his heart and had slipped back into the darkness.

The private security men, retired cops saw some movement but they took some time to come closer and see for themselves what had happened.Seeing the three men they had been following lying dead on the ground they panicked and did not know what to do and finally called their superior who asked them to leave the place immediately in case they were implicated in the murders.

Hearing his mobile ring,Balaraman cursed his job and the nature of it and mumbled hello and the man from the private security firm informed him what had happened.Balaraman thanked him and told him to keep their arrangement secret for now and ended the call.

He lay staring into the darkness " rudran,i hope you are safe.well they got what they had coming for them.My bad luck that he has killed them here instead of handling them in delhi.paper work, reports, investigations.no problem gang violence that stemmed from turf wars and between two rival gangs was the cause and as usual a few arrests would be made.what then."

Solving the riddles of life...**worth reading**...
Riddle 1
Journey without it and you will never prevail, but if you have too much of it you will surely fail.
Answer: Confidence

While there are plenty of those who lack the confidence to stand up for themselves and seize opportunities, there are also plenty of people out there who overestimate their abilities and bite off more than they can chew. To ensure a reasonable level of happiness in life and achieve as much as you can, you have to live between these extremes and learn to strike the right balance between the different values that you govern yourself by.

Riddle 2

Poor people have it. Rich people need it. It can make you or break you.

Answer: Adversity

Steel is hardened by being exposed to the roaring fires of a furnace and then cooled down, and so too is the human spirit hardened by adversity. The rich and privileged lack it and often become spoiled, with a warped view of reality and a childish ignorance of the ways of the world. However, if a person faces numerous hardships without the ability to cool down and recover, his or her spirit can be broken or they can become bitter and jaded. You need to live through some tough times to get a respect for life and hone those survival skills, but remember that there are also those whose hardships have taken them to a dangerous place"beware of such people.

Riddle 3

Everyone wants more of it to feel special, yet the more you have of it the less special you feel.

Answer: Knowledge

Ah, to be young and foolish is a wonderful thing. You think you know everything, that you are indestructible and have life all figured out, then as you get older and wiser, and delve much deeper into certain subjects, you suddenly realize just how much more there is to know. It can take people an entire lifetime to truly master a skill or acquire detailed knowledge on a topic, and there are just too many skills and topics for any one person to cover in several lifetimes. Understanding this makes you humble, and it also makes you question people who think they have all the answers.

Riddle 4

If you have me, you want to share me. If you share me, you haven't got me. What am I?

Answer: Secret

Some people fail to grasp the true importance of secrets. From a moral standpoint, they help you avoid lying, but at the same time allow you to protect your privacy and the privacy of those close to you. There is an urge to gossip and spread interesting information that we as humans are born with, but it has to be controlled. Little facts that only a few people know help strengthen the bonds of friendship and love between them"protecting someone's secret in this day and age is nearly as brave and noble as protecting them from a wild animal.

Riddle 5

You can only have it once you have given it.

Answer: Respect

One of the most misunderstood concepts out there, respect is asked for yet seldom given. Some even try to take it by force or buy it, but if you are unable to show others respect and treat them as equals you will never be able to truly earn their respect. People respect bravery, intelligence, skill, talent, compassion and physical and mental strength, and these things cannot be faked.

Riddle 6

Imagine you are in a dark room. How do you get out?

Answer: Stop imagining it

There is something to be said about the destructiveness of self-fulfilling prophecies that people regularly impose upon themselves. When every hint of trouble is immediately viewed as a disaster and any attempt at remedying a situation is brushed aside with "What's the point? It will never work," then what chance do we stand when things really go bad? It is important not to give up before the battle has even begun, and to avoid taking yourself to that dark and lonely place all the time. A little positivity and determination will go a long way.

Riddle 7

What is always coming but never arrives?

Answer: Tomorrow

Procrastination is born out of laziness and the fear of making changes, and it is the biggest dream killer out there. If you keep rescheduling important things for tomorrow, Monday or next month, you'll stay in the same place as the world keeps moving on without you. Some 20-30 minutes here, an hour or two there, its not much time to invest in bettering yourself and if you keep doing it every day you will reap huge benefits. Don't wait for tomorrow, do what needs to be done right now.

Riddle 8

At night they come without being fetched. By day they are lost without being stolen.

Answer: Doubts and fears

That old piece of advice given by our elders: "sleep on it", is as simple as it is absolutely brilliant. At night before sleep we are at our most vulnerable, even if we have someone to hold tight. Those nagging doubts come creeping in, our insecurities and fears start eating away at our mind, and that self-critical voice gets a bit louder as the room goes quiet. However, after a good night's sleep, as we wake up and let some sunshine into the room, get some fresh coffee and tasty food in our system, those troubled thoughts seem miles away. This is a much better time for talking things over, making big decisions and important phone calls.

Riddle 9

A prison you feel safe in, yet never quite happy. Whenever you try to leave, it only grows bigger.

Answer: Your comfort zone

The feeling of safety we get when we hide in our little comfort zone is a false one, and the lack of initiative will eventually lead to us feeling miserable. In order to improve we have to be willing to try new things, throw ourselves into uncomfortable situations and learn to cope with them over time. As we become comfortable with different situations and become proficient in a variety of additional skills, that comfort zone will keep expanding, and we will constantly need to keep running beyond its edges.

Riddle 10

If you break me I do not stop working; if you touch me I may be snared; if you lose me nothing will matter.

Answer: Your heart

Letting someone get close, reach in and touch our heart is an exhilarating and frightening experience at the same time. There are plenty of people out there, more than enough for everyone to find a great match. In fact, you may find a good match several times over, and just as your heart breaks it will also mend and be ready to be touched again. However, if you lose that empathy that makes you a decent human being, life will become bleak and meaningless, so keep your heart somewhere safe and nurture it.

Riddle 11

It starts off light and easy to bear, yet the more you carry it with you, the heavier a burden it becomes.

Answer: A guilty conscience

We sometimes make rash decisions, especially when we are young and full of raging hormones, and even when we know we did wrong we manage to rationalize things and convince ourselves that we did nothing wrong or that we have no choice. The thing is, you can only keep justifying your actions for so long before your conscience starts eating away at you. This is why many people living a dangerous lifestyle, be they thugs or soldiers and cops, burn out and turn to alcohol or drugs. Abide by a code of ethics you have adopted at all times, and you will stay in good mental health.

Riddle 12

I do not listen to reason, but I hear every siren's song and will try to steer us towards the rocks if you let me take the wheel. Who am I?

Answer: Ego

It's very easy to take offense at the slightest insult, start shouting matches with people, try to show off and injure yourself at the gym, bite off more than you can chew and ruin relationships. It is only concerned with preserving your perceived social status and will quickly turn you into a drooling Neanderthal, and this goes for both men and women. When you walk out of the house it's best to leave your ego at home - you don't have to prove anything to anybody as long as you have a good sense of self-worth and are surrounded by people who understand and respect you.

Riddle 13

One by one we fall from heaven down into the depths of past, and our world is ever upturned so that yet some time we'll last.

Answer: Dreams and aspirations

The way we see ourselves will change over time, and some of the dreams we had and the goals we set will be left behind. However, as our worldview and personality changes, new dreams and aspirations emerge, which is a perfectly normal and healthy part of maturing. We are not giving up who we are, we are just evolving into an improved version of that same person, and knowing this allows us to let go of the past.

Riddle 14

A mile from end to end, yet as close to as a friend. A precious commodity, freely given. Found on the rich, poor, short and tall, but shared among children most of all. What is it?

Answer: A smile

This simple little thing really becomes a precious commodity once you get older. A lot of people suffer from anxiety and depression, and most of us spend a good part of the week under constant stress. We forget to smile sincerely, from the bottom of our heart like the carefree children we once were. This is why time spent with close family and friends becomes so precious. We need to remember how to open our eyes to the beauty and hilarity of the world around us, and smile more.

Riddle 15

We hurt without moving. We poison without touching. We bear the truth and the lies. We are not to be judged by our size. What are we?

Answer: Words

Our words can have an incredible effect on others. They can cause pain and sorrow, bring joy and laughter, make people uncomfortable, educate or offend. A lot of people don't really think about the words they use, but we should all choose our words more carefully. Just a few inappropriate words uttered in the wrong moment can change our lives forever, and it is up to us to learn to communicate more tactfully so that we can dictate the outcome of such situations, rather than let our emotions get the better of us.

Now spend a few minutes pondering about these riddles and how they fit into your own life...
