Intersting ....Read till End

She spent the first day packing her belongings into boxes, crates and suitcases.

On the second day, she had the movers come and collect her things.

On the third day, she sat down for the last time at their beautiful dining room table by candlelight,

put on some soft background music and feasted on a pound of shrimp, a jar of caviar and a bottle of Chardonnay.

When she had finished, she went into each and every room

and deposited a few half-eaten shrimp dipped in caviar, into the hollow of the curtain rods.

She then cleaned up the kitchen and left.

When the husband returned with his new girlfriend, all was bliss for the first few days.

Then slowly, the house began to smell. They tried everything; cleaning, mopping and airing the place out.

Vents were checked for dead rodents and carpets were steamed.

Air Fresheners were hung everywhere. Exterminators were brought in to set off gas canisters,

during which they had to move out for a few days,

and in the end even paid to replace the expensive wool carpeting.

Nothing worked. People stopped coming over to visit.

Repairmen refused to work in the house. The maid quit.

Finally, they could not take the stench any longer and decided to move.

A month later, even though they had cut their price in half,

they could not find a buyer for their stinky house.

Word got out and eventually even the local realtors refused to return their calls.

Finally, they had to borrow a huge sum of money from the bank to purchase a new place..

The ex-wife called the man and asked how things were going. He told her the saga of the rotting house.

She listened politely and said that she missed her old home terribly,

and would be willing to reduce her divorce settlement in exchange for getting the house back.

Knowing his ex-wife had no idea how bad t he smell was,

he agreed on a Price that was about 1/10th of what the house had been worth,

but only if she were to sign the papers that very day.

She agreed and within the hour his lawyers delivered the paperwork.

A week later the man and his girlfriend stood smiling as they watched the moving company pack everything to take to their new home....

VODKA

Health Tip of the Day.

1. To remove a bandage painlessly, saturate the bandage with vodka. The stuff dissolves adhesive.

2. To clean the caulking around bathtubs and showers, fill a trigger-spray bottle with vodka, spray the caulking, let set five minutes and wash clean. The alcohol in the vodka kills mould and mildew.

3. To clean your eyeglasses, simply wipe the lenses with a soft, clean cloth dampened with vodka. The alcohol in the vodka cleans the glass and kills germs.

4. Prolong the life of razors by filling a cup with vodka and letting your safety razor blade soak in the alcohol after shaving. The vodka disinfects the blade and prevents rusting.

5. Spray vodka on wine stains, scrub with a brush, and then blot dry.

6. Using a cotton ball, apply vodka to your face as an astringent to cleanse the skin and tighten pores.

7. Add a jigger of vodka to a 12-ounce bottle of shampoo. The alcohol cleanses the scalp, removes toxins from hair, and stimulates the growth of healthy hair.

8. Fill a sixteen-ounce trigger-spray bottle with vodka and spray bees or wasps to kill them.

9 Pour one-half cup vodka and one-half cup water into a Ziploc freezer bag and freeze for a slushy, refreshing ice pack for aches, pain or black eyes.

10. Fill a clean, used mayonnaise jar with freshly packed lavender flowers, fill the jar with vodka, seal the lid tightly and set in the sun for three days. Strain liquid through a coffee filter, then apply the tincture to aches and pains.

11. To relieve a fever, use a washcloth to rub vodka on your chest and back as a liniment.

12. To cure foot odour, wash your feet with vodka.

13 Vodka will disinfect and alleviate a jellyfish sting.

14. Pour vodka over an area affected with poison ivy to remove the urushiol oil from your skin.

15. Swish a shot of vodka over an aching tooth. Allow your gums to absorb some of the alcohol to numb the pain.

TWO WAY MIRRORS

Don't use the trailer rooms any where in textiles, hotel toilets...
GIRLS / LADIES BE CAREFUL

Have you seen recent advertisement of M/S SAINT GOBAIN GLASSES
shown in TELEVISION\' S - Then you must have known about 2 Way mirror)

How to determine if a mirror is 2 way or not (Not a Joke!)?
Not to scare you, but to make sure that you aware. Many of the Hotels and Textile showrooms cheat the customers this way.

HOW TO DETECT A 2-WAY MIRROR?

When we visit toilets, bathrooms, hotel rooms, changing rooms, etc., How many of you know for sure that the seemingly ordinary mirror hanging on the wall is a real mirror, or actually a 2-way mirror i.e., they can see you, but you can\'t see them. There have been many cases of people installing 2-way mirrors in female changing rooms or bathroom
or bedrooms.

It is very difficult to positively identify the surface by just looking at it. So, how do we determine with any amount of certainty what type of mirror we are looking at?

CONDUCT THIS SIMPLE TEST:
Place the tip of your fingernail against the reflective surface and if there is a GAP between your fingernail and the image of the nail, then it is a GENUINE mirror.
However, if your fingernail DIRECTLY TOUCHES the image of your nail,
then BEWARE, IT IS A 2-WAY MIRROR!
If you are in a room (such as a changing room) where you cannot turn off the lights on your side, if you hold your eyes near to the glass surface and cup your hands around them on either side to eliminate most of the light from your visual field, you ought to be able to see through the treated glass

Optics:
The reason there is a gap on a real mirror, is because the silver is on the back of the mirror UNDER the glass.
Whereas with a two-way mirror, The glass is coated with (or in some cases encases a layer of) a very thin almost [[transparent]] layer of metal (generally [[aluminum]]) to enhance its reflective nature. The result is what appears to be a mirror from one side, and tinted glass from the other. A viewer in the brightly lit area has difficulty seeing into the darkened room, through what appears to be a mirror

i am an apple
I am a bright green apple.
My skin is smooth and shines.
I do not have a blemish.
I am a fruit sublime.
There is no better apple.
I have the crunchiest bite.
My flesh is firm and crispy.
My juices ooze delight.
But if you don't like apples
I will not be your pick.
No matter how I try to please
I'll only make you sick.
For you want a banana,
That's yellow, long and bent,
To peel and mash inside your mouth,
Your pleasure heaven sent.

I can't be your banana,
No matter how I try
So let me be an apple.
At least I'm satisfied.
revealing thoughts.....

This is not a poem about fruit!!! This is a poem about people. People are all different and the sooner we accept and appreciate ourselves as we are, and appreciate our own unique qualities, the sooner we can live a successful life.

And yet how often do we see people who are really apples trying desperately to be a banana because someone they love happens to like bananas. No matter how hard they try to be a banana, they will always be an apple. Trying to be other than what we really are to please someone else is always a mistake. Even if you are able to maintain the facade for a while, it costs a lot of energy to keep up the pretence. I have watched people live their whole life this way and it is incredibly draining. In contrast, living an authentic life, true to yourself, undefended, without pretence is incredibly freeing and a far more effortless, enjoyable and successful way to live.

You cannot make someone fall in love with you...but you can be someone who can be loved....😳

burdens of life

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That is why it is called the present.

quote from the movie kungfu panda

the web of life is spun and is spinning in mysterious ways.the DNA of a virus, bacteria, plant, reptile, insect and a mammal are so similar and differ in only miniscule ways yet life turns and churns them out in a million different forms.sometimes stuck in a trance i stare into space to grasp the meaning of this complex web of life and who is spinning it.sometimes a strand of the web unravels and i feel as i grasp it that i will finally understand the journey of life and its ultimate meaning.sadly i fall, fail but each letdown and setback only fires me up to go forth on my own private trip into life.why, why not just live, why not just exist and go with the flow.true but then the trip is a private one and one most wouldn't understand.

Herein lies the answer for an apple wants to be a banana and a banana wants to be an apple.striving to achieve and to beat the vagaries of a mundane and cliched life seems to be answer.the strife multiplies when one questions the struggle of an apple wanting to be a banana and vice versa.quick to the draw and jumping the line should not be the norms of judgement here for ultimately an apple wants to be a banana and vice versa for the simple reason that it wants to be part of the other or simply blend in.why you might ask but such is the complex web of life.but foremost answer that springs to my mind is that it fulfills some inadequacies that might stem from an inferior mind or upbringing.who is to tell what is right and what is wrong.what is perfect and who is perfect to be judge and jury.

But trying to better oneself or imbibe the qualities of a peer or better person is not wrong, but again who is peer and who is better.i leave it to you all .be well.

i like the deep thoughts, satish....

but at the end of it, I think it's all about love. Human life...even in it's final moments....comes down to the simple equation of having loved and being loved. (In other words, to accept and to be accepted). Problem arises because of the inhumane expectations...of being loved (or accepted) in return....
why isn't loving and giving enough?
Because there is no end to human desires.
And therein lies the fault of mankind.

hi spain,

i am sorry to dissapoint you but sometimes love is not enough, being accepted is not enough and the very fact of existing is not enough.don't judge people or lfe so harshly for life is dificult.don't we come across people who have everything but still complain that they lack something.like a child whose connection is cut when it comes out of its mother's womb there seems to be a strange but universl feeling among people today that they seem to have lost something an are yearning for it.could it be the road to awareness of some hidden meaning pf life, could it be the beginning of spirituality and a journey towards god.

We are living in strange times when everybody is on a headlong rush towards the edge of some dark canyon.todays world cannot be compared to yesteryears for some strange affliction seems to have taken hold of humans.i don't have words nor truly understand the meaning of it all but i feel it in my heart.so i have slowed my clock of life and i am now enjoying every moment of it alone or in company.

i think true happiness does not come from other people but from one's own self.looking more inward and gauging our thoughts will stop impulsive thoughts, desires and like you said inhumane expectations...of being loved (or accepted) in return.....be well.

I think the key word here is "expectations". Our disappointments and frustrations arise from our expectations - we expect our children to act in a certain way, when they don't, we are disappointed. We expect our partner to say something, when he or she doesn't remember the date or event, we are crushed. We expect to shine in some exam, when we don't, we are depressed. When we expect something, disappointment is always certain, because what is attained is bound to be less than what was expected. However, if we take to heart the saying in the Gita, Karmanye vaa adhikaaraste ...", and do what we have to do without getting into the habit of expecting the results, we are less likely to be disappointed, and this in turn will give us greater contentment. I know many of my own disappointments in life have arisen from this, and I try to tell myself to not expect anything, but it is hard. I think this is where our wise elders came up with the term "detached attachment". I am trying to put it into practice.
